I guess I'll start off this weekend photo shoot with some pictures I took at my office building. I decided this year to put up a train in one of our windows, and to my amazement, the comments so far have been very positive. Apparently everyone loves trains The train is an HO bachmann spectrum 0-8-2 I purchased many years ago. I decided against my 1947 lionel collection as they are too loud so close to the building secretary's phone bank.

Took a photo and made copy of the sign, part of the real sign is missing so it's missing on the model as well.

It is a very nice start to this Weekend's WPF...thanks Driline! Nice modelling that follows as well.
I haven't posted for a couple of weeks, nothing really new or exciting. Instead, I'll post a new image of a favourite engine of mine, the mighty 2-10-4 J1. Here, the engine is about to rejoin the main after hauling coal hoppers from Sentinel Mines about three miles back along the spur.
I agree, very good start.
I worked on laying some foam board down on the lower part of the layout. I then used some plaster to fill in the cracks and kinda "feather" the side of the upper layout. Now I have to paint the new parts that touch the upper part.
The last shot kinda gives you the idea of how big my layout is. Also I hate that I didn't take the backdrop all the way around. I was going for a shlef layout but ended up going for this. I guess I will work on that tomorrow.

This is what I've been working on lately. I just installed a decoder today after finally finding a motor that wouldn't make a snail look like a torbo charged racer by comparison.

Well, I see my favorite site is up and running with more great shots for the weekend. Great work, everyone.
Haven't been on in the past several weeks, but got some running in the past couple of days. Here's a shot of one of my 'never-was' Rio Grande L-140 2-8-8-4's --#3911--hauling an eastbound manifest on the lower of the two bridges over Malakoff Hydraulic Diggings between Deer Creek and Yuba Summit. Immediately following the big loco are some 50' express reefers full of Sierra Kokonie fresh-water salmon. Yummy!

This is what I am working on this week. 2 F&C EL Dunmore hoppers, 2 F&C B&O Round Top hoppers and 1 F&C National Plate Glass 2 bay hopper. I should have the NPG hopper on wheels by tonight and the decals on the EL's this afternoon. The two B&O still need some brake rigging work done to them.

You have a very commendable water fall there, Tim. Nice modelling!!

Great stuff as usual guys. I always find something here to help with my modeling.
I have been working on replacing the grain elevator (Walther's ADM) on the Black River Valley Railroad. I have always felt that it was too big for the layout.
This is the Black River Valley COOP grain elevator as it is/was on the layout.
Here is the site after removal of the old elevator and the siding. Still some work to do!
The new elevator (Walther's Farmers COOP) and the new siding, in place. I think. I wanted to run the siding a little differently so I would have more usable space along the roadway. I have a large grain bin that I am thinking of adding to the scene, so this may not be the final arrangement.
Keep up the good work guys. You are always inspiring.
Remember its your railroad

Is it me or are we not getting as much participation on the WPF in the last couple than we've had before?
Last week I added a photo of my MRL P2K SD45 that I was working on, well I still haven't finished it but instead this weekend so far I decited to detail one of my two Athearn RTR MRL GP35s. I added the front pilot details and windshield wipers.
NOTE: I HATE INSTALLING WINDSHIELD WIPERS! I KID YOU NOT, THESE ONES TOOK ME OVER AN HOUR TO INSTALL!!
Anyway, here is two photos of the two engines side by side for now. Remember they still need some airbrush weathering on the lower frames.
P.S. I hate the color Athearn puts on these Geep handrails-- It's purple!

Another bunch of great pictures of some really nice work. I look forward to WPF every week.
I took this one just minutes ago. It's a Huff N Puff Hart gondola craftsman kit. I'm just slipping the brake wheel into place. I'll be painting it tomorrow. If I don't screw it up, I'll post more pictures:

Yes I think the large grain bin will look great with your new elevator! I also choose this same elevator for my town of Hawk Point on my new layout.
Definitely not even near up to there with you guys, but I decided to give it a whirl anyway. Be gentle, this is the first picture I’ve ever posted, thanks to the post by jasperofzeal. In fact it’s the first time I ever even put a picture on my computer from the camera.
Layout is definitely a work in progress not done with anything yet but so far this some of what I have.
