I was born in 1957, so you can figure my age - I think of myself as chronologically gifted. I started model railroading as a teen. My greatest accomplishment in terms of model railroading was building an N scale layout with hand laid track. I left the hobby after graduating from college (BS in Industrial Education - I was qualified to be a shop teacher.) My career has included 23 years in the space program as a training specialist, and the rest has been human resource management for a number of companies. I took up model railroading again in 2000. This time in HO scale. I like old fashioned aspects of the hobby - craftsman kits and brass locos. My favorite hobby store is eBay. I do a lot of scratch building, too. I don't have much use for plastic kits - the look too plastic and they are too easy to build - I'm here for the challenge.
