alright, you guys are sick of looking at my desk. Here's something else I,ve been working on. oops, there's no trains in this pic either.

Spectratone,  Nice scene.  I'm especially impressed with the sky in your backdrop, makes me think of Wyoming.

Phil,

The often overlooked C&O H8 passing Clifton Forge on my version of the C&O. This yard is the hub of activity during operating sessions. There is a train arriving or departing about every 5 minutes or so. Only one switcher operating here and he loves it. but he is hinting that he may be leaving the C&O to work on a local shortline.

Another update of my weed sprayer project. Not a whole lot, just finished painting and started the detailing with some copper wire. Next week I'll decal the cars.

Both cars.

Close up of the actual sprayers and the details there.

These pictures are around 4 months old, and the last time I touched the K-10 Mining section. My health went to heck in a hand basket! Just because they work in a hospital does not mean they know what they are talking about!!!!!!!!! I am diabetic and went to a dietitian at Anderson Hospital to learn to eat better.  I was told "you will only feel light headed when your sugar is low", I started feel bad so I started eating cookies and candy when I felt bad like I was told! Went in for a blood test and my sugar was 320!!!!!!!!!!!

I now know better and starting to feel like my old self.  All so have dropped 8 pounds in 3 weeks. Key to eating when you are diabetic, stay hungry and if you like it, don't eat it! Big Smile [:D] Kidding about the last part, I do like salads.

Any way back to K-10 Mining a few PIC.

If you look close you can see the painted portals and the wall's inside.

Hidden staging under the growing mouton.

From the front, there are 2 tunnels that led to the mine.

Mock up of the grain company as well, I have the Walther kit. I hope I feel like working on it so.

When done, mouton will be about 12 inch taller and have a town on top of it.

Thanks for your time, Cuda Ken

PS Jessie, miss talking with you as well as long with a few other friends I made here.

Somebody has to ask.  What's with the candalabra?  Are you expecting a power outage, followed by help from FEMA?  Well, if you don't have power to run trains, at least you can build scenery.  No hot glue?  No problem!  Use candle wax.

Cuda Ken - were we having a romantic operating session?  Love the candleabra!!

I'm also diabetic, and the  XXX dietitian I went to suggested Honey graham cookies & Fignewtons!!  She also weighed about 80 lbs soaking wet (this was an adult woman!)  Never take advice from a skinny dietitian or eat in a resturant with a skinny cook!!  Get well soon!!Thumbs Up [tup]

I thought the candles were because of Ike, but then I saw that he's from St. Louis...Whistling [:-^]

I love that wide-angle shot, spectratone!Thumbs Up [tup]

I have been pretty busy, Jeffery. Most of my weekend was spent pulling up track nails, cutting track (it was all soldered together), spraying the ballast underneath to loosen the glue, scraping the ballast off, and tearing up the cork roadbed. An old weight from a freightcar works well for getting under the cork and peeling it off. Yoshi: It was a little bit sad, but more in the way of remembering how long it took me to build it, rather than not being able to operate it. It does give me something to do though!Smile [:)]

I like to run the trains with the lights off, candles give the room a golden glow like sunset. They did come out to the garage when we had a power failure. I was building cars by candle light for 2 days.
