I paid $3.26 last week for the cheap stuff @ BJ's Wholesale Club Membership price. Yesterday when I drove by the same one, it was up to $3.31 for the cheap stuff.

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010

Morning all!
This will probably earn me the right to buy you all breakfast and lunch, but here goes anyways. Since I'm sure Ryan is working on the lunch menu, let me throw up the breakfast one.
Country Sunrise Breakfast
Two eggs, hash browns, sausage or bacon, milk,
Ed's OJ, and toast with butter and jelly.
The Farm Boy
Three eggs, toast with butter and jelly, two pancakes,
biscuits and gravy, milk, coffee, and Ed's OJ.
The City Slicker
English Muffin, fresh fruit, and coffee.
The Weekender
Three pieces of French Toast, two eggs,
biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham,
hash browns, milk, coffee, and Ed's OJ.
There, that should take care of the grumbling bellies until Ryan gets here.
Well, my boy and I had a good talk last night about tomorrows events. He's as ready as he'll ever be I suppose. Also got to play another video game with him. Any of you ever played a game called "Smugglers Run"? The free roam on it is great for playing tag! You get a couple of cars and a large virtual world to roam in. Lots of fun, and low skill level required.
Oh well, I'm outta here for now......
Later!
Morning all jim I think I would be looking for another bank real quick if they charge me $27.50 a day till it was in my account. Banks I delt with would charge you 1 time and give you like 10 days (2 weeks to get it there or one week if your on a weekly pay schedule at work) In fact the bank I presently use would have paid it and charged me there fee and it would be deducted next deposite I made or direct deposite was made. I also earn like 4% on my checking account balance. No anual fee.
Got a call from the VA this morning at 7:45 asking where the nearest VA was to us and told them Accually Johnson city is but would prefer to goto Asheville, NC as it would be an easier drive. So there contacting them to have them contact me to set up for a physical . So its one step closer and wife is getting crazy this is moving faster then we thought. So to me Its right on tract to what I was expecting. I was thinking mid april to early may there saying mid april to late april so were right on target.
Not to much else happening now getting ready to make some break fast. And then work at noon so talk to you all later

Hello everyone ....
Our power just came back on after about 45 minutes. It's windy and there's a tornado watch here. T-stroms and flood warnings too.
Anyhow, I brought in some homemade chocolate chip cookies. So help yourself. Sometimes milk and cookies are a good bed time snack.
My scenery project is progressing along. I've done a lot, but there's plenty more to do.

Nothing new here, just trying to get by. Listed an ad for our Paint horse herd at less that their world champions sires stud fees. Wife even offered her favorite dream mare for half of what she paid for it. When the time comes, they will be missed.

Jim, hope you didn't get too wet going home and that you live on at least the second floor. With that amount of rain, the higher the better.
CN Charlie, "When it rains, it pours" - to borrow a phrase. When I got home today from work, I find a couple of large, wet stains on my apartment ceiling. Due to a rather bizarre cause, but basically a leak of uncommon sort, and the landlord can't get someone over until tomorrow to take care of the cause. He did come over this evening earlier to check, though. I'm hoping for minimal or no rain through the night.
Also, my bank account is overdrawn (over one payment that put me about $4.something overdrawn), and if I'd had $10 more over the weekend, it wouldn't have been. And now the bank (until Friday, when I get my next paycheck) is charging me $37.50 every day! Aaauggghhhh!!
Oh yeah, tonight, I talked with a friend from church who was going to loan me enough to put the account in a positive balance. So I'm heading for his place, and after missing a marker cone at one turn, the car wound up in water about 3" above the floorboards. And I'm afraid that the car's wiring may be messed up now. (Job 1:21 moment...) Called the local police and gave them the car info so if possible, I can get the car towed someplace once the flood waters recede. (Should there be a dove flying around here somewhere?)
Johnboy, that was pretty useful - I had either never heard, or had forgotten about the morning thing on gas. Thanks!
Oh yeah, we got a new record amount of rain today - old record was 6.75 inches in one day. So far today, we're at 11.56 inches for the day. Sheesh!!
I'll be in the corner booth, drying out, Chloe, how about some cheese to go with the wine, please? Thanks!
Jim in Cape Girardeau
Evening Gang: I see by the news that Dallas Ft. Worth airport is shut down and many travelers are stuck. A bunch of folks spent up to 2.5 hours on the tarmack in the planes. Once again a good reason that I don't fly comerical anymore.
It's still raining here. I haven't checked the rain gauge but I will tomorrow morning. I spent the day packing up all the VHS tapes so we can take out the cabinet that they are stored in. listing and packing them in boxes took from 12pm to just a couple of minutes ago. I knew that I had alot of tapes but Oh Boy.
A quick note on the oil sands in Alberta. One of the companies that dig the sands once woundered how much of the sands stuck to the trucks that haul the sand. When one of the trucks was coming in for maintanence they weighed it befor they cleaned it up. Then they weighed it after it was cleaned. Would you believe there was 16,000lbs of sand on it?
Well I guess I'll head for bed.
Good Night All
Johnboy,
Been there, done that. 3 fuel filters later and things were ok, but if you had to pay someone to change the filters, it would have been expensive.$$$$
Thanks for the tip. It was good info. Most of us try to buy made in the USA, so why not fuel.
Sue
Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Good Evening All!
I can't believe it but I have actually made it in before dinner service stops. I'd like some of that Shrimp Jambalya and a piece of peach pie please Chloe.
Jeff, I liked the pic of your car. I can well imagine that it makes some speeders nervous! I see too that you have a lot of pine trees around your place. My favourite tree. Not many grow here not because of the cold but the drainage is poor as there is a lot of clay in the soil.
Fergie, as for that mussel establishment, it is the Five Fishermen in Halifax. They have or at least had, an all you can eat mussel bar as an appetizer and they do salmon very nicely for the main course. The way I approached dinner there was to park in Dartmouth, take the ferry across, walk up the hill briskly to the restaurant. That will build up your appetite. When you leave its all down hill!
Time to start back on the DPM structure I'm putting together. It's a little repair shop that will be used as the village gas station. While painting it last night I noticed that I had conveniently put in one wall upside down. I did manage to get it fixed but I still can't believe I did that.
Further to Johnboy's post, the largest foreign supplier to the U.S. of oil is guess who? US! Your friendly neighbours to the north. That is the reason why Sunoco shows no offshore imports. They are one of the largest and certainly the oldest developers of the tar sands in Alberta.
Time to get back the the gas station construction. All the cars in Upper Chuffton are at a standstill due to lack of fuel. Gas is, let's see,,,,, 48.9/ gallon and that's an imperial gallon. I get to set any price I want. Isn't model railroading great!

For all my American Friends and those of us that travel Stateside from time to time. also some good points to remember for all of us all the time.
TIPS ON PUMPING GAS I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline.... but here in California we are also paying higher, up to $3.50 per gallon. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon.. Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose , CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons. Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role. A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps. When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3)stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, t hereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some other liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money. One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL or HALF EMPTY. The reason for this is, the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount. Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up--most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom. Hope this will help you get the most value for your money. DO SHARE THESE TIPS WITH OTHERS! WHERE TO BUY USA GAS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor. An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil. These companies import Middle Eastern oil: Shell........................... 205,742,000 barrels Chevron/Texaco......... 144,332,000 barrels Exxon /Mobil............... 130,082,000 barrels Marathon/Speedway... 117,740,000 barrels Amoco............................62,231,000 barrels Citgo gas is from South America, from a Dictator who hates Americans. If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (oil is now $90 - $100 a barrel Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil: Sunoco...........0 barrels Conoco.....! . .....0 barrels Sinclair.................0 barrels B P/Phillips............0 barrels Hess.......................0 barrels ARC0....................0 barrels If you go to Sunoco.com, you will get a list of the station locations near you. All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. Bu t to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do. Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)...and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) .. and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers !!!!!!! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it . ... THREE HUND RED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would all that take?
This was sent to me by my retired Train store owner in Missouri that I still correspond with.
Hope you all had a great day, Were out of here.....................

Afternoon, Zoe - I'll have some turtle soup, a roast beef po'boy, and a root beer float, please! Thank ya!
Terry, excuse my poor manners - I forgot to post that, yes, I did get by the post office yesterday (got a little busy into checking out my goodie). Thank you. I just need to figure which wire is for which connection, but our crack electronics installer/MRR club member should be able to figure it out for me, and then I can get a fascia socket wired up just right. I like your fence and that throttle holder, and love that lumber yard. Atlas should give you commission on the additional kits they'll be selling everyone who sees your pic of that. By the way, the pics show plenty of detail and are fine. You're not in a professional photo competition here, y'know.
PC, I posted to your topic on "LHS Lust."
Getting close to going-home time (or paddle your canoe time, with all the rain today) here. Several roads outside of Cape are closed due to the water, and some of our people who drive in from outlying areas may be looking for a motel room in town tonight due to no way home.
I could've sworn I saw somebody building a big boat earlier today on the local TV station...
I'll write more once I get home - I'm assuming our apartment building hasn't floated away just yet.
Blessings and a warm and dry place to be for tonight,
Afternoon all

Any planned trip with the bike this summer?
Jerry Both buildings look really good and I wouldn't worry about what you see in the pics because they look well used over the years.
Terry I really like the first pic of the fence because the top is wavy and looks like it has been there for quite a while with all of the high grass around it.
Garry Need more tutorials!!! I will have to get into Great Lakes new store and see what it looks like and will let you know.
PC Best to the CFO and Son
