Howdy everybody:
Ed: Mornay sauce (Kentucky style) is a cheese sauce combining white chedder and parmesan cheese 50/50. You can probably find a mor fancy recipe on the internet, however. It's easy to make KY Hot Brown and it's tasty. Even I can make it. Ryan could do it in his sleep.
Cheers everyone.

Good Evening Coffee Clubbers,
Another beautiful, if coolish, day down here in Paradise. Yup, it was a real ‘break out the sweaters' type of day. Supposed to start getting back towards normal starting tomorrow. As far as I'm concerned, it could stay this way for a while.
Continued with a few laps on the layout, and more work trying to organize the area. Turning out to be more of a problem than I originally thought. But we'll get there eventually.
I just realized that in 8 days, I will have been a forum member for 6 years! Does that constitute for anything on here?
Flashwave - Happy Birthday!!
Garry - that recipe for Kentucky Hot Brown looks good. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to make a mornay sauce.
Not much more to add tonight. Catch you guys tomorrow.
Hasta mañana,
Ed
Stoppin' in for a glas of milk to go whilst I loaad my new Bday presents. (or 2 of them, as I still have the family party coming)
I found a bag on the table, and in it was the 3Dtrainstuff Donner Pass and Storm of 52 add-ons for MSTS! SO That's where I'll be.
*Sigh* Daylights and Cab Forwards. Can't get any better*

Everybody: Here's a sandwich (Kentucky Hot Brown) to warm your innards on a cold day:
A Hot Brown is a hot sandwich originally created at the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, by Fred K. Schmidt in 1926.
The Hot Brown is an open-faced sandwich of turkey and bacon, covered in mornay sauce and baked or broiled until the bread is crisp and the sauce begins to brown. Many Hot Browns also include ham with the turkey, and either pimentos or tomatoes over the sauce, and imitation Hot Browns sometimes substitute a commercial cheese sauce instead of the mornay sauce, but fans of the dish usually decry this substitution. Some restaurants even offer a 'veggie brown' nowadays to attract vegetarians as the recipe is easy to modify with avocado, or, less commonly, soy burger.
The dish is a local specialty and favorite of the Louisville area, and is popular throughout Kentucky.
On menus within the Louisville area, the Hot Brown often appears as titled "Louisville Hot Brown", elsewhere in Kentucky outside Louisville as the "Kentucky Hot Brown" and outside the commonwealth simply as "Hot Brown."
Afternoon Gang: Not much going on here. It's somewhat cold here but not as bad as further north.
Gary I got the plans and took them over to my friend Monday. He was very pleased with them and will be dropping you a line. Thank you very much.
I've got to go. I'll stop back in later.
Back in for some of that BROILED ATLANTIC SALMON. Add a heaping helping of garlic mashed potatoes on the side, please & thank you.
Have been back at organizing/cleaning the dungeon this afternoon. Making good progress.
Have a great day all. Rob

Pics will do that sometimes if you pull up a page and start scrolling too quickly before they fully download. Just hit the refesh button and don't do anything for a few seconds........we don't want you to starve!
Hey, my menu came out blank. Does that mean that you are cutting me off? My appetite does get out of control sometimes. I do need to push away from the table a little to manage the overeating over the holidays.
But how did you know that?
Thanks, Jerry, I will try to post more.

2008 will be a better year.
Oh I'm not complaining, and neither is she. We're both so grateful that she has this opportunity to continue walking for a few more years. It's just a little crazy right now (and for the last 6 months or so) while we take care of everything. She's looking good now though and it'll be a few months before the next round of surgeries, so maybe I can get my hobby thing happening somewhere in there, huh?

Thanks for the concern. It is just a fact of life. Our house is coming up on 12 years old and we were wondering what was going to give up first. I have been wanting a front loading washer but couldn't justify spending the money when the old one worked fine. The motor burned up. With hot smell, I couldn't get it out of our house fast enough. Now that I know that the normal life is about 10-12 years, I will keep a close eye on the dryer. The worst part was the $$$$.
Morning all! Zoe,I'll have a cup of Irish coffee , it's still cold up here.
Paul: Yeah, it is a good size room to play in, but this is my last(HA!) layout.Ibuild 1"by 3" frames, stack 2 layers of foam and attach it all to wall shelf brackets. Goes up pretty fast in 8' sections!
Bob K:Abit of all. Last year built 2 lake homes, but now it's kinda comatose up here for work.Upside is more time for the layout!! Also, I love my Paslode Impact!
Der:I'll check the time thing again, PC said it takes awhile.
I got 30' of backdrop painted last nite, doing the "distant treelines"today.
Thanks again for all the welcomes!
