Ditto on that Jeff...I am a big IC fan but for the most part they ran EMD...But I have had FA's,RS's painted for IC...I have a friend who is a big Colorado Midland fan... they never ran anything but steam but he designed a paint job and had a fleet of CM diesels and modern cabooses...Kind like what you are doing...Jerry

Just playing around with it. Always wanted to do that to an F7. I can always call it a rebuild if I want too. Who cares if there was never a prototype. I certainly don't.

So is Zoe still around or do we have a new crew serving us?  Good diners are hard to find.

The menu still looks good.  Think I'll have the patty melt for lunch.  Yum!

This weekend's project is to fine tune the signal system on the layout for next Saturday's open house.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Well, Diner denizens, after looking at some basic figures, I can see why Bergie & crew needed us to start a new thread. The old Coffee Shop (the 2nd version before this) had over 447,000 replies by the end of its about 3 year run (quite a bit!), while in just 11 months, the ETD version had accumulate 180,000+ replies (rough figures on both). So we've been busier than most any other topics on the forum, and would've run to likely over 400,000 posts (assuming the same rate of posts/day/week) by just the end of the 2nd year for ETD(!).Shock [:O]

So Bergie (in addition to his other reasons) probably didn't want the servers to burn down from the heat of all of the Diner's activity (to the detriment of all topics and users).

Each of us can do what we think will help, but I know I will probably limit my posts (other than the occasional bump..) and ensure that all of my pics posted are sized smaller (unless needed to show details on some glorious project I finally complete and photograph...Yeah, uh, huh!). And too, it just may be that we will need to accept that every year (or nine months or six months) or so we'll need to start a new topic as we start to approach, say, 150,000 responses (Bergie, if there's another/more accurate number to watch, feel free to tell us).

My My 2 cents [2c]. Oh yeah, and Zoe, another cup of coffee, one of those steaks, and another slice of cake while PC's distracted with all those pies....Thanks!

Blessings,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

in a Southern mug please!

New Diner looks nice. Still room for more RR stuff in here.

My concor/kato SW 1500 cow & calf combo ends tonight on the bay. Need it to bring in a lot more if I am going to be able to replace them with a new kato NW2 switcher. Time will tell.

Have a great day all.

There's been a slight modification made here. See if you can find it.

Two relocations in one year... We talk quite a bit then I see.

PC: Luckily... I see an Aun't Mo's Pie truck pulling up...

Sue: What's on your list for the GTE show? I'm looking at some steamers... And E7s, maybe F7s... and some frieght&passenger cars.

Later,

Mark

Hey Bergie, if you're looking in, can you give us some idea of what a good maximum number of pages would be before we need a new place to stay?  That way we could just plan it out next time, ya know?

Good Morning, Zoe, PC, and Sign - Welcome [#welcome] David B.! Boy, a guy stays away from the Diner for a day or so, and they lock the place up on me... Wink [;)] Well, to celebrate the (re-)opening of the Diner, I brought cake (sorry PC, I didn't bring a pie).

I'll have a slice and a cup of JR regular, please, Zoe. Thanks!

I'll be back - 'nuther appointment awaiting me.

Blessings on your Friday,

Jim in Cape Girardeau

So did the IRS shutdown the last diner?  or was it an AntiTrust lawsuit because it of its popularity?

Hrm, time to ponder these things over something heavy... bring on the Mt Dew!

Yeah, it's still brewing!  It's still warm over at the old place, but we've got a fresh batch brewing here now.

I guess since I'm on top I get to buy lunch today, huh?  OK, line up everyone!  To celebrate the new place I'll hook you all up!

Got some steaks that just came off the grill.  Want one?

Well, it looks like the old place got locked up, so we start again!

I kind of figured we'd make it to the end of the year before we had to start over, but we're appearntly a talkative bunch.

So anyways..........

Colby, 777 posts, huh?  Thats a good number.

RT, we had some spitting snow here yesterday that we could send your way if you want!
