Grampy this is outstanding work, you must be so proud to be able to sit back and see what you have created, I'd like to know some of the comments from people who have seen your work up close.
You are one of the Masters here and I enjoy checking out your pics anytime.
There are so many here that inspire others to do better and better and I'm one of them.
WOW!!! Grampy your work amazes me!!
Red horse I can't believe how far you have come in such a short time. I love the bat scene. Everyone else your work is awesome as well there are just so many pics that are so great. I am glad this thread is still alive and kickin some serious butt!!!
alco's forever!!!!! Majoring in HO scale Minorig in O scale:)
This shot of the Local Officer stopping to chat with his old pal in the pick up truck.
The scene is simple but captures a certain small town feel about the layout, not a lot of distractions, some very creative lighting and just the right perspective really draws me to this scene over and over again.
Well, I'm off to get some rest, this picture posting thing got me worn out...
Tom,
Real nice, looks as real as it gets.!, SUPER PIC!!!
Wow, nice shots, everyone.
This is kind of my current favorite--a big 2-8-8-4 articulated in the Sierra Nevada along the Yuba River on my Yuba River Sub. This is Wagon Wheel Gap on the San Juan Ridge between the South and Middle forks of the Yuba River.
Here's some pics of my (only) finished scene, thus far.
Thanks for all the compliments. The photo, untouched, was taken with a Canon dslr camera on my N-C-O Div. outdoor G 1:29 railroad located on the eastslope of the Sierra Nevada at 5,280'. My 2.33 acres are bordered on two sides by Tahoe National Forest giving many open vistas.
Thanks again, Rob

You link to a picture that is bigger ....
Your link: http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/data/500/thumbs/Whole_Layout_001.jpg
I suspect that the "thumbs" part indicate that this is a small thumbnail picture ...
Testing. Yup - if you use this path instead:
http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/data/500/Whole_Layout_001.jpg
(ie delete the /thumbs part of the path),then you get a full size picture instead of the thumbnail.

I love the one of the road work crew, I accidently dropped a big glob of model glue on my finished styrofoam road and it disolved a hole in my road, so I used my happy boo boo to my advantage, I didn't know what else to do?
I had a little work man on a ladder in the whole, he looked dirty!!!
That was my old layout but I sure miss my hole scene, maybe I'll recreate it on the new layout?
Fantastic work here, and the other pics are super artistic also.
Keep up the great work.
