Welcome Alconut! Sign - Welcome [#welcome] I can't wait to see pictures of progress once you start.

Wikious, thanks. We where visting relitives in Slinger. So on Saturday we decided to had up to Horicon. Alot of Stuff. When that train left we just decided to chase here back to Slinger. We could of gone one more town south to Ackerville. But my dad didn't want to. If it was my cousin we probably would of chased her farther! More picture at Slinger and Horicon At Teen Railfan Place.

If any of you are going to do a MR chase and want to be "realistic" I have a few photos I took this weekend of a Wisconsin and Southern Chase from Horicon-Slinger WI.

Well, how's this for a summer job?

Installing decoders for $25.00 a pop, lights and all.

I'm doing this through my local hobby shop. He doesn't have time to do it, so he has other people do it for him.

That's what i'll be doing at night when it's nice and cool!

after eading this months Trains W&LE feature, i think the A&S will use an SD35 for interchange. The RR would use SD35s, GP40-2s, SD40-2s, and GP38s.

I have an Atlas Master SD35 as well....except it's the passenger SDP35 version. In my version of history the steam generator was taken out.

Railnut, I have an SD35 like that. Atlas Master right?

It's hard to see but there WC 2500, WCs only SD35.

I might make another Doriama. based on this shot.

I know in Wisconsin there is something like this. But Firt I need to finish my current one. This next one will be long, and might have trees, so it doesn't look like the Great Plains.

Photograph time!

And Tyler, who said you can't build good models from scrap? I introduce to you, the SEC Funnies. Built from retired cars, these are little switchers. And no, they are not powered.

Maybe. I wasn't really trying to build this car in paticular, I just looked in my scrap box one day and said "What can I build?"....great way to build a model, ain't it?Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] I now know better than that... My next models will include a bit more planning....Wink [;)]

If you used a rib-side boxcar, you might be able to use that to fix the rock car, and build an intermodal flat.

Vincent

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

I scratchbuilt one based on a car like that....turned out horribly, so I'm going to reuse the frame on an intermodel flat...much easier to scratchbuild!Wink [;)]

Thanks guys, i'll take pictures soon. I think I will repaint the GP9 for the A&S, or get some old loco for it. I'll be doing a little switching, so i need a good loco. It will probably get another model of a GP9 or SD9. maybe a GP38/SD35.

Packers #1, if you need a loco for the shortline that's just for display, if it just sits on a spur to show the identity of the line, you might paint your F unit that you said doesn't run well. That way your main railroad can use a good loco. Lots of lines down there have F units, I'm pretty sure there's one down there that still runs an F unit, and I think it even has "Georgia" in it's name like your shortline! (well, not really the name Georgia, but the capital anyway...)Cool [8D]

I've been working on my layout some more too, getting a crossing set up for my crossing lights that came in yesterday, as well as just some more scenery areas that were unfinished. The crossing lights hopefully will be up today or tomorrow, as the glue still needs to dry at the crossing.
