photo bucket is garbage.  the whole idea of this forum is help each other and be able to share.  I WON'T BE RENEWING MY SUBSCRIPTION TO THIS WORTHLESS MAGAZINE

Model Railroader is not associated with Photobucket and not responsible for their changing their terms of service.  They are not holding you up for money.  They are attempting to hold up tomkat-13 and the many thousands who for years have used their free photo hosting service to post images on these Forums and other web sites.

It is currently possible to get tomkat-13's signs for free as described in my post above, but you cannot see what you are getting because of the Meter.    Once saved to your computer you can see the images, open the images and use them.

"On June 28, 2017, Photobucket changed its Terms of Use regarding free accounts and third party hosting (hosting on forums, eBay, etc). Only the most expensive plan, at $399.99 per year, now permits third party hosting and linking to forums, etc. Which effectively alienating a very large percentage of their users, whom only used Photobucket for third-party image hosting. Photobucket made this change with no input or consultation with their current users, or the public. Adding this to photobuckets use of excessive pop-up ads, scams, clickbait advertisements, and in some cases viruses embedded in ads, the number of active account quickly decreased."   from:

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

Actually they want tomkat-13 to pay.  Currently possible to get images he posted, but you can't tell what you are getting.

This is the last image posted on Tomkat-13's post  of July 10, 2016. I clicked on the image (Meter in post).  It opened image of meter in Photobucket which I right clicked and "save  image as" to my computer.

Will not work if image has been deleted ftom Photobucket or Photobucket account closed.

BigDaddy

Following the link in Tomkat's signature, I found this.  What in the world?

Looking at many of the other construction photos I'd say they were backing this car onto a temporary "trestle" so fill could be dumped and the timbers gave out. The engine is sitting on rather loose fill.

Lots of fill work was done that way sometimes shifting the entire track like our flex track, or jacking the track up with timbers and continuing the fill as the level increased.

Not much in the way of compaction as is the practice today.

Interesting photos!

Sorry if the secret is buried deep inside this thread, I've read as many comments as I could. My question is: How do I download the billboard type signs so that I can print them out without them being distorted in some way? I'm not sure if it's pixelation, but let's say there is thin black lettering on the billboard, no matter what I do (I click to the pic's original page, then save it at 600 dpi on Irfanview) the lettering looks like there are small crosshatches or gaps.

Really love these signs as graphics are on of my fields of interest, just can't figure out how to transfer them flawlessly for my needs.

Thanks for any help,
Mike

Does anyone have artwork or know where to get anything for Associated Transport? It was an LCL trucking company back East. My Grandfather worked for them and Brown's Trucking for 45 years until 1969. I'd like to have some AT trucks on the HO layout.

Thanks,

Roger Huber

Roger Huber,

Just happened to be going thru this thread and caught Your question. If You are still looking for those decals or are interested? Here they are: Sorry did not catch Your post sooner.....could have helped You months ago. These are thin vinyl decals self stick, graphic's are superb....I use them all the time. For all truck models I build for Myself and clients. I'll drop You a PM also.
