Take care,

John,

I'd be interested to hear your opinions of the Weaver head end cars.   I have a couple of Pennsy passenger consists that are screaming for some proper head end equipment.  Reefers alone don't cut it any more.  Are they scale?

Congratulations, Grandpa Chief.

Tom, again Happy Birthday.  Happy B-Day [bday]  What's it like to shovel snow on your birthday?

A Grits Festival?  Confused [%-)] When you have people who think that sitting in back of a pick up truck at the Dairy Freeze on a Saturday night is a big event, I guess a Grits Festival rates right up there with the state fair.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM!!!!  ...And many, many more!

A great big WELCOME to the new addition to the Chief family.  I bet 7 pounds something on a grits diet turns into 70 pounds something in 3 months Wink [;)]

Gonna have to miss the grits festival this weekend...what a shame!

I'm sure some of you in the midwest are already experiencing a storm.  The prediction here is for 3-4" of snow by Thursday morning...exactly when I have to start hauling cars to the auction.  Sounds like my Friday will be spent recleaning all my winters hard work.  If it wasn't for bad luck.....

Looking forward to some R & R in 2 weeks.  Wish I was spending the time around the house though.  I'd like to get a start on finishing the attic.

Y'all have a good evening!

eant.

Anyway, I just wanted y'all to know this is a real thing.  We actually have  a Grits Festival.

In train related news, Tomorrow, on History International, they have a program called "Voyages" which will be from Trains Unlimited- Model trains.  It is on a few different times so try to catch one.

The tractor has a broken strut, so I have one ordered.  Could weld it, but for the price, it is better to just order one and get the tractor work done later.  Besides, it allows me more time to spend on trains.

Colin, hope your dad gets better soon.

RRTraincollector, hope you get good results with your stress test.

Oh! I almost forgot, when I returned home today, had a nice little tax return check from Uncle Sam.  Handed it to my bride and told her I circled the items in the Lionel catalog I am interested in Black Eye [B)].  She says I am still on restriction.

Hope there are some trains in the future for tonight.  Only had four hours sleep last night and got up so early to make the drive and leave before noon.  BTW,  I need to eat Dinner [dinner] as I missed the lunch meal.

Bill,
My take on your situation is it isn't THAT bad because if it were you would have been sent the ER... BTW - it was fife who got on ya for now going for 4 days! Wink [;)]

Chief is definitely from the South... no one can fake a Southern accent that good! Smile [:)] He is a nice fellow, but Carey Grant he is not!

Fife - I'm stopping at the LHS today to see if I can talk them into letting me have my engine... Wink [;)]

Thanks guys...

John, I have tried warm milk and it helps, I like the red wine option a bit more... but I have strange dreams when I go that route!  The ENT put me on Ambien for 1 week to help establish a better sleep schedule, and that seems to have helped the most.  Been off it for one week now and I am feeling much better and sleeping deeper as well.  I think the weight of buying the new house and selling the old house being gone has helped the most... I don't feel as stressed as I had been...

I'm telling ya though... more trains would really help matters!  or more smoke...

Doug--

Walt's trolley's are just the best.  I have one and I'm thinking I'd like to have at least one more.  Our layout has a nice trolley section but the next one will be much bigger, folks really enjoy the look and very relaxing.
