Jim, thanks for the thought.  Actually, this guy is in Milano, Italy.  I have an address and multiple contacts.  First I am going through law enforcement, then, I have some other methods.  (did you know we have military very close to where this guy lives?)

As a matter of fact, I do...

Western Union has a photo of this guy picking up the money.  With apologies to our Italian friends here, have you ever heard of a ginny neck tie?

I'm familiar with that one as well.

Mornin' all...

The movers aren't a question, they are a given.  We have far too much furniture and heavy furniture at that.  It's the whole 2 18 wheelers I don't believe.  When I moved down from Pittsburgh I rented a 36 foot Pensky truck and I didn't even fill it to the brim, probably about 2/3 full.  My wife and I are going to move the clothes, trains, porc. dolls, computers, and other fine collectibles that we do not want damaged.  We aren't closing on the old house till 6 days after we start moving, so we have plenty of time to get the rest of the house emptied.

My biggest concern with an 18 wheeler is them getting it in our new driveway.

Won't be on much today, have to get some school work done and then I have to leave an hour early to get to an interview in Bethesda, same company just a different contract, hope to get a little raise and an extra week vacation! Smile [:)]

Good morning all,

It is mild and rainy in SE Indiana with temps in the 60s.  The person working on the garage finally finished it yesterday, and it looks nice.  This has to be short today.  Maybe I can post tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 53 degrees. Going up to 63 today, with rain in the forecast. Looks like a couple of days of it. Yuk.

Dennis...Good luck with your dog. We are still feeling the loss of ours. Will be, for a long time to come.

Today, I am driving up to Cambridge for the unpopular grocery shopping. Gas prices are still very high. Latest at $ 2.78 a gallon.  Somebody is getting rich over this.

Later today, I think I will spend some time running trains. Have not spent too much time there lately. I need to get back into the fun.

Well, off to the Dining Car. Time for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Morning all,

Had a tough night, one of our dogs is having lots of problems.  I have to take her back to the vet...afraid she might have to be put downSad [:(]  Hopefully it is something that can be treated.  She may have been bit by a black widow or snake.

I was had on that hudson deal.  I was suspicious of the whole deal, but for the money, I figured I would see where it went.  I do have enough information on the guy that I hope Law enforcement will follow up on.  If not, I have some contact information that perhaps I can witness to him...plant a seed and let God convict him.  I will post a thread on this so others won't be taken.

Busy day, got a case this morning and then to the vet and finally, take the kids to get pictures taken.  I really hope things go well with the vet. anyway, not much in the train front.  Take care,

Dennis

Brent,

You are finally off the hook! I got your tender to work last night. It screams like a banshee now. Sometimes it won't stop unless power is cut off. I'll figure it all out. Only 2 tenders left in the infirmary!

Lisa,

If you're going to lob them in underhand, I'm going to swing for the fences. All in good fun. Wink [;)]

Good morning from Gettysburg.  Not much to report from here.  Beautiful weather the last few days. Supposed to get some rain here over the next few days.

Been crazy busy at work.  Last night I did not get home until after 8:00, late nights tonight and Thursday with rescheduled make-up activities that were snowed out in February and March.

Take care,

Mitch

Dr. John,

I take it from your question that you are not a TCA member currently.  If that is the case, I would be happy to sign your application form for you.  Once you are a member of TCA, the Eastern Division will send you an invitation each six months to sign up to attend the semi-annual meet in York, PA.  That is not the only reason to become a TCA member but it is a very good one.  The membership application is available online at

http://www.tcamembers.org/membership/application.pdf

If joining the TCA is not for you, you can still attend the York meet one time as a guest of a member.

Greg, thank you for the kind offer and the link. I've downloaded the form and am considering joining. If I do, I'll take up your offer of your signature on the application.

RT, That is interesting, never heard of it and it's just down the road.  What is the lettering on the engines?  PRL?  Exactly where near Denver?

Good afternoon from beautiful and warm Buckeyeland.

I get to mow grass tonight.  Big Smile [:D] The John Deere started very easily last week after being stored all winter.  Did you know that John Deere is a northern company?  I can't imagine a self righteous Southerner sitting his butt on a JD, but there are always a few odd balls down in NC.

Not much train news.  Too much work.

I was stunned to learn that Roy was from New Jersey. Shock [:O] I always thought he was from Philadelphia.

See ya down the tracks, and Brent get the movers.  Been there, done that, too many times.

Brent, get the movers - call around and find someone who comes recommended. Estimates will be all over the place.  It was worth every dime to not have to manhandle all that stuff myself - I was stunned we easily filled an 18 wheeler - and two pickups (with just plants and pets)  --- and the kicker is - we were moving about 4 blocks (7 yrs ago). Big Smile [:D]|

I too have a few I gauge "Chiefs" on the layout - loafing in front of Eagles Ridge Electric Park; waiting for a trolley at Junction station; and, cutting down some big trees in the Apitz Forest...

Brent, I have a couple of O gauge "Chiefs" roaming around my layout. One is gladhanding people as they try to enter the diner for a bite to eat. The other one is trying to scam a paper boy out of a free paper on the station's platform. No R or X rated girlies on the Jumijo. Well...Magnetta IS the town tramp, but only my wife and I know that. We don't tell the kids. She's also on the platform waiting for her sugar daddy to arrive. You can see the Chief over on the left, and Magnetta is on the right in the red dress in the photo below:

Please note that Chiefie left his Snow White outfit at home and is conservatively dressed in a gray business suit.

Jim,
I picked up 7 metal figures at the show last Friday:
Bride
Groom
Photographer
Army Soldier
Policeman
Engineer
and a lady in a red dress (she appears to be undressing)

Wife sees them and says, "A bride and groom?  What the heck?  A photographer, what are you going to do, replicate our wedding day?  Oh an Army guy, wonder why you got that! (I was in the Army) Policeman... can't figure this one out.  A train guy, go figure.  Oh a lady with black hair.  Is that me?'  'Yes dear, she reminds me of you.' 'WHAT THE HECK HER BOOBIE IS HANGING OUT!'  'See I told you she reminded me of you!' Shock [:O]Whistling [:-^]

I got hit of the head for that one! Confused [%-)]  Then I told her about the 'adult themed' figures Fife and ran across.  She just laughed.

I guess I will finally get back to posting on a regular basis.  Spent some time with Don when he was in the Keystone State.  I think he may have gotten his fill of trains for a while.

Jim Fortner, I don't know if anyone else mentioned it, as I didn't read every post for the last week, but there was quite a lot of Halloween themed stuff at York.  One booth was that theme exclusively, you would have loved it.  Might be even more in October.  As far as joining, just download the app. and send it to two of us to sign that are TCA members.  Or just send it to me and I will get both signatures for you and save some postage.

Doug (dagrump), I understand what you are going through with your stepmother, I went through a similar situation with my stepmother almost 4 years ago.
