well morning everyone... who wants to head down to the ............................
with me and wash it down with some ...................
well im off to bed. up at 6 am tomorrow/today for inspection. Feel like im in the army again! take care of each other and see you all later
Good morning all,
It is hot and humid in SE Indiana with chances of rain each day. We had a nice shower last night, but it was over early enough to get the soccer practice in. The rain made the field nice and soft on the feet, ankles, legs, and bones in general. Still a little sore today. Lucas and my wife were watching "The Longest Yard" remake with Adam Sandler when I came home. I am back to my regular work schedule and regular car pooling, which makes it nice not to have to drive every day. There was just the regular fare on the dining car for "Points East" this morning and I may have to check out Zeke's donut shop. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It's a beautiful, sunny morning of 65 degrees. Going up to 90 , today with sunshine. It's gonna be hot.
Today, I will be outside this morning, and then probably be in the train room, this afternoon. Woo, ( Rocky's brother ), is going to the neighborhood groomer, for a bath and trim. He has been doing pretty good, but the heat is bad on a long coat.
Ordered a new boxcar from Williams yesterday. Got a nice discount for being a Platinum Club member. Takes two days for delivery.
Well, Dining car has arrived from " points west ", and is ready to serve breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.
Chuck
Good morning everyone. I'm just getting to the forums now as we haven't had the internet up and running until a few minutes ago.
Be warned - next Monday, I will be online from home!!!
Spent some time cleaning up my newest post war beauty last night. Slow going but so far, so good.
Chuck, which Williams boxcar did you buy?

It's been hot, make that very hot, here the past several days. I try to get my outdoor work done before the sun gets too much above the tree line. Glad I have AC in the train room, the oldest GD and I spent about an hour running trains Sunday while Grandma had the other two out shopping.
Its going to be another long weekend for me at the store, the boss is heading up to NY state to pick up a collection he's purchased. A elderly collector of Lionel MPC is liquidating his collection. The boss has the van and trailer and is hoping that he can fit it all. Its a collection that has multiples of a number of items: sets, engines, rolling stock, etc.. As he said its putting a big dent in operating reserves but well worth the trip and cost. If anyone is into MPC e-mail me a list of your wants and I'll get back to you once he's back and things are sorted out.
We'll guess I'll get out and do the 50 hr. maint. on the JD lawn tractor before it gets too hot.

Doug - just wait a while. I spent 3 hours on phone yesterday to find out Vista got lost with Norton (IE7 access to the internet was cut off). Reset Norton and all is fixed. The issue is many S/W providers are out of sync with MS Vista and Vista patches so their stuff just quits working although it says it is. Very frustrating.
Zeke - sorry about your friend. We will keep him in our prayers.

Chief, Dennis, and all southern sympathizers - we are going to have to redouble our southern defenses - where is Dr. John?
Chief - our neighbor's dog came down with epilepsy late in life - maybe something similar on your peke?
Cool and raining here. Had four showers yesterday - 2 were heavy. Can't get anything done outside.
Talked to Don B last night about his Brewery problem. Making progress. Fan motor is bad and the CW-80 is OK, but it's fan has gone out. I think I have a CW-80 fan I can give him. He is doing well and having a blast with the new layout (About 1/3 built) and locos he got at York this past spring.
Have a great day all!
Regards, Roy

Thanks for the kind words guys, my problems are as nothing compared to some of my kinsmen (and women), a lot of flooding and general mayhem from the storms (wettest June ever recorded) a months rain in two days, a lot of the places affected are close to me (particularly Yorkshire). I used to do a little light duty courting around the reservoir that is ion the point of bursting.

Doug,
Everytime you approve access to a web site or a certain program, Norton (Symantec) is adding that site or program to an approved site/program list. One has to drill down into the Norton Internet Firewall menus to find this "allowed" list. In my case, even though the list showed IE as "allow", it was being blocked and the tech and I could not figure out why. So it turns out there is a RESET button under Norton that cleared the "allowed" programs list and then we specifically added IE (instead of waiting for the program to ask me to) as an "allowed" program and then everything started working again. This is just one example of Vista and other programs being out of sync and there is no way to fix it except to reset everything and start over.
I am having the same problems with the recognition of my wireless card. The lower right tool bar icon will say I am only connected to my wireless access point, but if you double click on the icon and open the wireless connections window - it will say it is connected to the local access point and the internet. Thus Vista cannot resolve the conflict and is lost and nothing works.
Howdy boys. Passing Tstorms around area. Need rain too. Hey Bakeer!!! Kick a little of that fine STOCKPORT weather back across the pond.
CHIEF - Peek might be having problem with the bacon grease. My Collie gets seizures like that too. Now I'm also dealing with floating fish im my pond. Gonna empty it out as far as I can tonight.
Buckeye/rt - Happy Anniversaries to you both.
Laz57 - I did "fifecamp" on Sunday = 3 circuits around train show in Timonium. Lifted a whole forest and 2 O-Scale buildings as well.
csxt30 - I think it was you asking about Jeff Gordon cheating...? That would be assuming he knows the first thing about fabricating fenders (he doesn't). The 24 and 48 teams got nailed for trying to alter the fenders in the "grey area" of the body templates. Big no-no with the new car of tomorrow. Look for fines of 100k each, loss of 100 driver/owner points, and suspensions of the respective crew chiefs.

No Fife !! I didn't know about the cheating till they were talking about it before the race & I heard Rusty Wallace say they are trying to take the engineering away from the owners & drivers of the cars. Which means no one but Nascar can be creative or come up with new ways to improve on designs. I can see where this is a good point, maybe ? !! I was saying it was dumb putting these cars on a road course track, but I did kind of enjoyed the race after a while. I don't think they will put Funny Cars on a Nascar track, though !!
Thanks, John

Hi GIZ,
Hot and sticky here today at 94. laz CAMP started at 0520 this morning a nice cool although humid start for a five miler. Had to start early cause of heat and plumber coming. He got all the pipes capped off. He tore out old tub. I later took down all old plastered walls. Set up old shower in basement, it works. Went to school cut up wood for shims and got materials for new walls, that goes in tomorrow. Wife will do the painting of the walls. Then on Thursday put in new shower.
FIFE, sounded like a tough workout there. Heard those MARYLANDERS at train shows are an unruley bunch. Remember PACE YOURSELF bud.

Glad you survived the weekend with Yogi Sir James I.
Where are you located in Michigan, and what is your favorite train store?
So Far the best I've found out my way is in Dexter, but I forget the name. The closest to me is Riders, and their selection is minimal, and everything is special oder.

Evening all. One of my favoite movies is on, Absolute Power. Clint Eastwood [burglar] witnesses President kill lady [Pres's girlfriend]. Busy day. Powerline mowers are at lease. Watered some of Pam's flowers. Sprayed grass in path to pond. Funny. Have to water flowers and veggies but grass in rocky soil in hot sun grows. Rain all around but none in Roseyville. Popcorn time {dinner was microwaved squash cooked last night and tomato sandwiches [tomatoes from garden ]}.
Just a quick stop by, was another long day. One case, but perhaps the biggest type case one can do. Anyway, Pt is OK and that's what counts. I got home in time to eat dinner and watch Bourne Identity before going to sleep. Wife is having fun at the beach. I need to get some train time in, but she left me with a list of "honey do's". Oh well. Hope y'all have a great night.
