I'll also use some 1x4s for diagonal bracing and heavy duty levelers between the leg bottoms and the floor. Probably try and find some 1/4 steel plates to put between the levelers and the carpet to protect the carpet too - but where do you find 1/4 steel plates?BrentBrent, You should be able to get a local welding / metal fabrication shop to shear them for you to any size you want. Shouldn't be an expensive deal. You would need to paint and maybe file the sharp edges a little. Thanks John! I'm going to need 22 of these 4" x 4". I found a place on-line and they want nearly $200.00 for all of them shipped from TX! OUCH! I think the yellow pages are going to get a finger walking! LOL!Brent

Brent, Check out some of the plastic fabricators in your area or on-line. If nothing else you could get a small sheet and make the cuts and clean the edges yourself. No need to paint and will not rust. Even better if you could find counter fabricator who would sell you some scrap Corian.
What's that sound I hear eminating from the Ohio area, sounds like sobbing.

Chief - The Gator Nation is probably going to come looking for you. It was the University of Florida Gators that whomped the Buckeyes (in football and basketball), not the Florida State Seminoles.

Sorry for your loss OHIO STATE fans.
Have a good one.

Good morning all,
It is sunny and warm in SE Indiana with temps near the 80s before rain, thunderstorms and Kevin from Alaska sends us all back into the deep freeze. Based on the long forecast, it is going to be a bit chilly for the sunrise outdoor services on Easter. Yesterday was a very good day at work as one of the software tools I used made a huge upgrade that greatly reduced the amount of work I have to do to produce a report. Other good things happened as well. Last night was great for soccer as I was on fire. Tmcc man, John Bakeer, Nick and alll the other footy fans, I had one of the best practice games ever, mostly as defender. I was heading the ball, and trapping with just about all parts of my anatomy, and making some good passes. Nights like that do not come along very often for me. After I got home, we heard some sirens off in the distance, and I told my wife it was the paparazzi following Beckham to my house for some tips on how to play :-) It was a very good day.
I have to get on here earlier each day so I can send the dining car to "Points East". My condolences to the Ohio State fans and congrats to the Florida people. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Mornin' boys. Looks like y'all stayed up past your bedtimes last night. Got lots of honey-2-do's over the next 2 days. Beautiful in upper 70's today in the Mid-Atlantic region, to be followed by a nasty cold front with temps in the 40's thru Easter. Yikes, hope my tulips don't get clobbered...any tips jefelectric?
Buckeye, just try and think of the happy times that you and The Ohio State basketball team have shared this season...perhaps there is a more sinister explanation for their performance...
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cool 50 degrees. The sun is coming up and it looks like a fine day. Going up to 80 today with sunny skies.
Today is a busy day. We are driving to Zanesville for a few appointments. Wife has to pick up her new contacts and see a foot doctor. She may need some minor surgery. Hope not.
I have been keeping busy around the house. There is a lot to do outside. One of these day, I have to do some serious mowing. Have not had a lot of time for trains, lately. But, the need to run them is getting stronger..
Dining Car has arrived from " points west ". Breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.
Chuck
Off to Dr. Tinker's today for some tune up parts for my "new" 736 Berk. The Chief and I had a teleconference or two yesterday on how they are to work on.
Missed out on a 1688 Torpedo freight set from 1936 yesterday. Reserve not met. He's relisted it though...

Morning all,
Yes Ohio State went down, second place again. Still second place is pretty darn good. Spose to be beauriful today. Already a great start. Sunny and warm. Got lots of yard work done yesterday and started waxing the truck. Still got about 2/3 to go. Don't realize how big it is till I pull iti the garage, or wax it!
I hope to work on the layout today, hard to do when it is so pretty out! I hope you guys who go to York have a good time. I saw another thread of wish items, strange, no American Flyer mentioned. Someday I'd like to see York after hearing so much about it. I've only been to a few train shows so I don't have much to reference it to.
Bride going to have carpel tunnel surgury on both hands tomorow, so hold her up in your prayers.
Take care and God bless
Morning all. I knew I could depend on Chuckster [also TOOTS] to post. The rest of the Ohizoians are still in bed with their alcohol to brain headaches. Especially the Irish one. Now who gave me a hard time wile I was in Orlando? "Payback is H---" they say.
Since Buckeye did not move into my lawnmower garage [to the happiness of two Carolina wrens and their hatchlins], I have to service my JD mower and cut some grass. Will probably work at the pond too. Think maybe some boys got into the Canadian goose nest at the pond. Would rather think it was a fox or racoon but evidence looked bad on the boys' side. Another sunny and warm day. Wife has flowers blooming everywhere and they call for cold temps by weekend. Hope not.

I really hate to point this out, but....
The Gator coach is from........LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK !!!!!!!!
Just goes to show, it takes a YANKEE to lead 'em!!
Yanks win, Devils fire the coach.......back to normal.
TomS... God luck and against the Pens...I rootin' for ya (until the finals of course!)
Took a convertible home last night, had the top down this AM...nice day about 75 today

It's quiet here in the office with the kids on vacation. It's not very often I can take a few minutes to post from here at 8:45 AM. The weather is supposed to be in the upper 60's today but then all heck brakes loose and back to winter on Thursday and through the weekend. Oh well, this is western NY and the weather can change quickly.
I am only working a 1/2 of a day today and then going hiking on one of the overland trails in the area. It should be a nice afternoon for it.
Sorry to all my Ohio friends for this statement but I was happy to see the Gators win last night. It is not often in this day and age that a whole team passes up millions of dollars in professional sports to return to play together in college. For that reason I was glad they won.
Have a great day everyone.

danrunner1 wrote: Can "THE Ohio State University" go back to just being "Ohio State" again or do we have to continue to hear the article "THE" every time someone mentions the school's name?
NOPE...Check their web pages. The official name of the school in Columbus, Ohio is "The Ohio State University". The signs at the edge of campus that have been there from almost day one, say the same thing. It was just when the NFL asked the players to state their name and school before a game that it was noticed. (BTW, the school in Athens, Ohio is Ohio University.)
Great day in Buckeyeland. Sky is blue and the birds are singing.
The Basketball Buckeyes lost a game last night, but here where basketball is a pastime and football is a religion, life goes on. Now if it was Kentucky, there would be people jumping off of buildings is Lexington.
Lithotripcy for kidney stone again today. Not looking forward to it again, but the stone must come out. Pain medicine is at hand.

Jim, nice looking 666! I think I'll pass on this one, though. You gonna bid?
Buckeye,
Having been there too many times myself I feel for you. I hope all passes easily and painlessly.
Jim,
Good luck to your wife and her surgery.
I will look forward to hearing how both are doing later.
Almost forgot - congrats to the Gator fans on the forum. I'm a Bama fan myself, but I'm always happy to see a Southeastern Conference team win a national championship. Seems to be a regular thing, doesn't it?
Condolences to my yankee friends in Ohio. Please put down any sharp objects you are holding and walk away. This, too, shall pass.
Looks like winter has not quite passed in Dixie. The forecast for Easter Sunday morning is 38 degrees! Not exactly spring weather! Warm and rainy today and tomorrow, then the cold air starts coming in.
Rich,
It should be a good game against the Pen's tonight. My son lives in Pittsburgh and he is wearing his Sabres shirt to the game. He was telling me he heard that next year when the new style jerseys come out that the league is doing away with all "3rd" jerseys and just having home and away sweaters. They were also going back to wearing white at home instead of on the road. I am hoping they keep the 3rd jersey because that's the one the Sabres have with their original crossed sabres on the front.
