Believe it or not Chuck, they do and it's better than most would think and there's 2 types.[:D]

Bascially you take cooked grits and add a little butter, cooked country sausage (drained) and mix together.
Place mixture into lined unbaked deep dish pie shell. Wisk some raw eggs with a little milk and pour over the grits and sausage. Salt and pepper. Then top with sliced cheddar cheese (or a favorite) and cover the pie with a shell top and bake in oven at 325º for an 40 minutes or so.

Here's the other recipe:

Grit Pie

1 9 in. pie shell unbaked
3/4 cup water
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 cup quick grits
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup butter milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp nutmeg (optional)
Chef Jenny
Preheat oven to 325° F. In a small saucepan bring water and salt to a boil. Add grits and cook 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Add butter and cook for 1 minute. Set aside. In a bowl, stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, egg, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in to cooked grits. Pour into pie shell and bake 35-40 minutes or until set.[:D][:D]

So, for you 'old' folks who are too tired and worn out to experience life, well, you can just it pass up and stick to your bland Yankee food.[V]

Don't forget Olive, the other reindeer.

And in the nativity scenes, who's the fat shepherd? And the shepherd in the sombrero and serape? And who flew the plane for the flight into Egypt?

OK....how about chocolate chip, oatmeal, peanut butter, macadamia nut cookies with a tall glass of cold milk pair up with your favorite western and favorite color? Reindeer love cookies and colors....I think's it Goofey that really likes the cookies and Dopey likes the colors.

Aha! Back to model railroading at last! Scenery!

I want two shrubberies, so that we can create a terraced effect, with a little path running down the middle (A path! A path!).

For benchwork, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest wi--iiiith: a Herring! (Oh, please!)
