Morning/afternoon folks!
Sunny and maybe 70 today. The cold front came screaming through day/evening before and yesterday like Snowpiercer - pool is full of leaves and the tree they came from is on the other side of the house. Wind is finally dying down. Glad the pool guy comes today!
BIL is doing well health/physically - just not sure about his faculties. Looks like his pup will go to his oldest daughter in a couple of weeks. Not sure where he is going to end up, but they are letting his daughters provide input which is a plus.
Fife - continued prayers for your family.
FIFE, Sooo Sorry to hear about your loss!! Prayers and condolences for you and your family!!!

Good afternoon all,
First of all, my condolences on your loss, Fife. It has been an "interesting" week. One day this week, my email started getting flooded with spam. Enabling the standard filters shoved everything to the junk side of things, but that also included the 1% of stuff I wanted. I set up some rules which appear to be reducing the flow of the sewage, and I am slowly putting safe tags on the good mail. It is a shame this somehow happened, and I hope there is a special place in Hades for whoever caused this to occur. So far there appears to be no financial consequences as I never use email for credit card activity.
On a positive note, I did my first 5K of the season. A bit brisk outside but multiple layers kept me comfortable. I wore myself out afterward helping unload the sheet metal for the shed and then doing some other tasks before collapsing in a chair the rest of the afternoon before Mass. Got some really good news as one of AJ's drivers was on the winning team for Sebring yesterday. I am not sure I like the changes on the TRAINS website. Seems like some of the benefits we had as magazine subscribers might be going away. Time will tell. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hey all!
Sunny and 60's. Nice. Son drove me to Ft Worth yesterday to visit with some friends that were in town. They have also had their shots. We had a nice time at an outdoor brew pub - big patio, breezy.
Good NASCAR and Sebring races this weekend. Sebring finish was best one in years. NASCAR today not too interesting so far.
MikeC - congrats on completing the 5K!
Had a longer post but the CTT site crashed when I hit "submit" - so not gonna retype it. Short story - asked to repair a TMCC ERR equipped G Ga Bachman 4-6-0 but appears the R4LC board is toast, and maybe the DC Commander. No way for me to proceed with this as a "science project" so informing the owner this will require all new ERR parts (DC Commander /R4LC and Sound Board) for about $230 shipped w/tax and another $250 or so for the diagnosis, recheck of all wiring, and some repairs to the pickup wipers. I do not have time - nor wish to spend it - buying a part or two - returning parts for repair - etc. A new Bachman 4-6-0 retails for $1000 - DCC ready. So unclear what the owner will want to do - $500 for repair of old loco - or $1000 plus electronics install for a new loco. Cannot say the old loco may not break something - mechanical due to age - even after $500....
Aloha and happy end-of-weekend - I got somehow locked out again. My condolences on your loss, Fife. Today was a pleasant day weather-wise - the crocuses (croci?) are coming up - my favorite kind of flower because I don't have to do anything to encourage them.

Nice weekend, Daughter truned 33 on Saturday and her, her other and the kids and cousins came out yesterday. Weather was good and they had a blast down at the creek, dirt biking and running all over the woods. The little guy Vin and Nala the dog were wet up to their Bu!ts.
Glad your getting your shot Banks,
Dennis, gas here is $2.82 takes about $70.00 to fill the Colorado.

55 and sunny. Beautiful day. Wifey wants to do yard work. I have to mow and get safety inspection on pickup. Pickup now loaded with bails of pine straw.
Our gas prices dropped yesterday. One 10 cents a gallon. Have a great day.
DJSpankyI forget, is anyone close by in VA?
We live about an hour (or so, if nobody wrecks on I-64) east in the West End of Henrico County, outskirts of Richmond.
Good evening all,
Good news. Wife found her original wedding ring. Bad news. Had already bought a replacement one. Go figure. Lots of stress. Email still getting a lot of spam. I hope everyone has a good day.
Nice day here, light rain this evening.
Cody (our dog) got skunked on Saturday evening.
Thankfully Wal-Mart was open and had De-Skunk shampoo in stock.
Tonight I took him by the same place, he went searching for it, I guess he wants to settle the score -silly dog!
Happy Tuesday from foggy Central Jersey.63F today and showers later in the afternoon.Right after I punched out last night I was in bed. 4 hours sleep will do that to ya. Slept through 3 fire calls, I was that unconscious.Plans for Friday Night already - attend viewing of past chief of Hamilton Fire and past president of the County Fireman's Association,Funeral Saturday Morning, early.Off to Jenni's after work and after I get some stuff in the attic. We'll be cleaning the kitchen and dining room and doing annulment paperwork. Not much else to report from herePrayers for FifeMom and Fife and family, Roy and his BIL and anyone else in need.Back later
54, cloudy and misting rain. Cloudy and chance of rain today.
11:00 with Hispano to look at a vaccination sight here in Rolesville.1:00 in person meeting with new Human Services Director.Raisin Brand for breakfast.Have a good one.
Afternoon/morning folks!
Lotta rain yesterday - over an inch and more on the way. Sunny today - 70 and very nice out.
Will try to piddle with the El Cam today.
MikeC - good news about the ring!
Anj - annulment papers?
Roy -
I need my first marriage annulled - married in the church - and Jenni needs her civil ceremony annulled - so we can have a church wedding.
It's something she wanted and I asked if she wanted it.
Her's is a slam dunk, since it's civil, mine is more complicated, since it was in church.
Anj - got it. Good luck!
Rain, and cooling,
Spread gravel for our neighbor Brain because he still does not have replacement lift arms for his Bobcat he broke, then he helped me install a tall toilet for wifey today in the back laundry room 1/2 bath, just to find out the darn PVC flange was broken from the hill-rod plumbers that did this house, (why it was leaking some in the first place) Jerks!!! So I got to get a repair kit, and we will pull it back up and re-do it. Just my luck! Can't trust anyone these days, no one has any pride in their work!!!
Just thinking Rich, at your age why waste your time, GOD will be the judge, not the church. JMHO Church is a man made thing to bend the rules as they want. The way you live is what should be on top. I know many won't agree but that is fine with me, to each his own. But good luck. Case in point,,,,
My brother is getting married in June to his mistress of 13+ years after being with his wife he divorced after 40 years,,,WTH????? How stipid is that??????? Just do what you want and forget the other junk, your too old to make a big change either way. ( unless they want to make sure they get ALL of your money)
Glad I went through my two X wifes before I was 30.
Good morning all,
Finally some light at the end of the spamming tunnel, I hope. Kev, I mostly concur with your thoughts on annulment. One daughter has been waiting on annulment to go through for several years, married current husband outside of church and now I have a seventh grandchild which I would not have had if they had waited for the creaky wheels of whatever hierarchy has their brain cavity placed in an impossible position to turn. (Tell us, Mike, how do you really feel?) Several other issues that were stressing me got resolved as well. I hope everybody has a good day.
Cheese toast and coffee. 57 and raining. Got to drive Wifey's boss to get a table [if it can be transported in the rain].
Good Morning!!Gray and 50F - rain later.Moved many things to the attic last night and brought a few down. My Hallicrafters C-38 is downstairs now. Needs knobs and the tuner stalk is missing. So, I guess I'll be on the lookout for those things.Chicken dinner at Jenni's and we watched NY Electric Trains live sale until 11 when we passed out.If I get time and the weather holds, I'll get the road runner out of storage and cleaned - it needs a bath really bad. I'll probably keep it stored until May then bring it home.Well, Jenni is finishing up RCIA, so there's that. No kids involved and none coming, so there is no concern there. Her annullment will be done sooner than later.
We want to do it right, we know a judge on the tribunal and also Mom is friends with the church "lawyer". We feel that in 6 months, this will be done and we can move on. She wants a church wedding. I'm way good with that.
That's all from here, nothing on tap tonight, so it's a night "off".
Good morning all!
Sunny start to the day and then some rain again tonight with possible storms. 70's ahhhhhhhh...
Did begin the day with the El Cam, started her up, and was checking the electric choke (which seems to not be working now) when I got diverted by my buddy (George for those that have met him at York) who stopped by to drop off a Legacy Big Boy that had loosened/then dropped the screw that holds the main/side rods on the right front engine - caused it to bend the valve eccentric rod into a "U". He had the screw which was lucky. Normally one cannot straighten these rods without breaking them - but lucked out in this case. Put it on a small anvil in the 1 ton arbor press and slowly pressed it straight without any fractures. Reinstalled with some blue Loctite, lubed up, test run - all good! Checked all the other screws.
