M-a-n-a-h-a-w-k-i-n. That's just fun to say.

Yes it is!

Sunny and warming after the front went through day before yesterday. Very nice out today!

The new R4LC for the DC Commander set I ordered from ERR was defective. Contacted Scott Mann and he had another sent out immediately. Great service! Said to return the defective one when possible. So had to put the 4-6-0 Bachman G Ga repair aside.

Buckeye - lookin' good!

Happy Hump Day

Took a trip to Manahawkin last night for Jenni's Mom's birthday.  Got there at 9, left at 1030, home by midnight.  Jenni's niece and nephew were there and that made her night better.  It was a good time.

Current Street Light project working well, my 3V wall wart power source is working very nicely.  Downside was I had to use a thicker wire as the thinner wire wouldn't strip properly.  I have 2 more lights to do, then make snow and snow piles, which I'll be using Buffalo Snow batting, spray snow and plaster casting with a rock mould, which I'll smooth out and apply to the side of the roads and buildings.  After Easter, I should have more time to spend on the layout.  I'll be taking a day on the 5th for a full day doctor visit and then a day for trains, TBD.

Raining now and 61F - clears up tomorrow night -

My brother and SIL are in from Texas for Easter.  Should be a nice family gathering for the week.

That's all for now.

We are in for two more cold days, low 40s for highs and high 20s at night. Then we head to the mid 70s all of next week. Burning off the last of the wood stacked on the porch. No rain in site and that is strange for this time of year here?

Dennis, I found the scenery was the most fun of building the layout.

Kids want us to go to a big Easter thing but wife said "NO" not till we both have both shots. I agree. Been this long, may as well do it right. Our neighbor's wife is in the hospital with bad COVID issues she is in her early 60s, so it ain't over yet kids!

Pension pay day tomorrow, got to get starter fertilizer for down at the creek, and some other stuff at Menards and a trip to Krogers to fill out the day.

Going to order out Fried Chicken for tonight. Dinner

Later.

Was sunny and now clouds moving in. Afternoon rain. Was just 70 degrees but dropped to 69.

Thick Egos. Dishes washed [my plate and dog bowls] and sweet ice tea made.

Out to disk garden I didn't get to do. Hope to get finished before rain.

Go pickup up new JD mower tomorrow afternoon.  Old one was 11 years old.  Did not realize it.  Will sell in front yard.

Good job Buckeye

Enjoy your day.

Good morning from the Valley,

Snow is heading our way. Sad

About 80% complete with this area of the layout.  Still need to pave the road, build a fence, add more ground, install floor in barn, wire lights and swing, add people and details. Does anyone know how to make a mailbox for the house?

Good evening all,

Made a whole bunch of improvements in one process at work.  Should have done some of them a long time ago.  Got the skin checked today.  Spot I had them look at was ok, but they did a biopsy on another, just to be careful.  Weather was good today, turns to junk the rest of the week.  I found out some more info about the website.  I just hope it is true.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Evenin' boys. Sunny & 71 in the Potomac Highlands. Dodge is in the shop for a mysterious vibration. Top wrench determined rotors bad all around. Took new momma princess to breakfast for scooping me up. Being a captive serf, I was directed to hang some new doodads inside, and spread mulch outside. Dinner consisted of burgers and burgundy.

Marty - Nice car. Does the hobo disappear on that version?

No.  I can remove him, not sure about the fire.  I'm not even 100% sure he is supposed to be able to be removed or he just fell off in shipping.  LOL!

Kids are keeping us running! Can't understand why they need a spring break when they have not been in class all year?

Probably more like a break for the teachers

Decided today there is only one way to slow down a 1 year old belgian malinois. Have her chase the grandson on the dirt bike for a half hour. Wink

Prayers for fife and family.

Been a bit since I logged on.  Getting a little done around the fouse.  Hope to really pick up some steam this week and tackle some smaller , nagging, projects.

Weather turned colder here in Western PA.  Looks like 1 good day tomomorrow and then the temps dip.

Thoughts to all that need 'em.  Stay safe everyone one.  We're getting close.  Until then here is my new Polar Express Hobo car...

Good evening all,

Watched USMNT win a friendly at Northern Ireland today.  The other team has not won in over a year so not a major deal.  Probably will not make World Cup again....

Windy and cold today.  No progress on shed.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

dbaker - The FOX promos with Clint and Jeff have been great.  Gordon has always been just plain vanilla in the broadcast booth.  Now he's plain vanilla with rainbow sprinkles.

Afternoon All,

Not much going on here, helped Chris re-assemblying his weight training station.  3rd time I've put it together.  Hopefully it will be the last for awhile.

No Nascar today, was looking forward to it.  Just watch it tomorrow.  Really enjoy listening to Clint Boyer and Jeff Gordon during the race.

Need to starrt thinking about taxes, did get Turbo Tax and have it installed, so won't take long now.

Hope everyone has a good day.  Take Care All !

Afternoon all!

Missed a day or so. Been under a bit but better today. Went and did the grocery shopping so that wore me out. Sunny and cooler from a cold front last night. Yesterday was nice and warm so I spent about 30 min pulling up all the old soaker hoses from around the house. All were leaking badly where they should not be. We have had enough rain last year and this year to not need them.

NASCAR Bristol rained out yesterday. They tried a mud run - ha! Lasted just 2 laps when the windshields were 2in deep in mud.

Fife - again condolances! Nice pet!

DJ - are the landscapers a neighborhood HOA thing? Why do they get so close to your house? I thought the area you were dealing with for them was along the back property line.

Regards, Roy

80 and some clouds.  Getting windy.  Possible storms this afternoon.  Some yesterday but we got big rain for a short while.  Some early this AM.  Some boomers.

Went to a new [to us] Church.  Biggie.  Big stage, band, big screens projectors and lights.  Kind of like a rock concert.  Good band and music.  One of the many associate pastors preached.  New preacher coming in a couple of weeks.

Resting rest of the day.

On the ship in the Suez, figured there was a pilot like most ports.  Figured he dropped his cell phone and was crawling around looking for it.  Wife was calling.

Mornin' boys. Raining and 51 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Not sure how they will get the NASCAR race in today? It was a total cluster yesterday, and the network has been hyping this dirt track race for months.

Fifepup's fiancé likes crafts, and while she was here I asked if she wanted to paint in the train room. She applied the base color to the new section of the layout. I really like her. Speaking of the layout, I probably should get working on the new scenery, and post some progress pics.

Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes.

Hello there,

Fife....glad things worked out, continued Prayers.

Spanky..... looking good.

Not much on the kitchen this week.

Mrs and I got our 1st Pfizer shot Monday. Sore arm for about 24 hours was the worst side effect. Was more tired than usual too.

Quite the operation they had. There were 20 or 25 giving the shots plus at least that many support personnel. Who knows how many appointments in 10 minute increments.

Spent a couple of days farming. Hauled shi%, put fertilizer on the hay and got some equipment rearranged.

Grandson's four wheeler appears to be a victim of ethanol. It didn't mix well with the oil and toasted the piston and crankshaft. Spent a day working on it  and parts shopping.

A tick was found in littlest granddaughter's ear this morning. Her sister stayed with us during the trip to Med Express.
They spent the rest of the day here riding bikes and their ride on toys.

Best move on

Prayers for those in need and the end of this pandemic.

Question??? How does a competent ship captain get sideways in a wide canal?

Supposedly  there was a high wind that pushed the ship into the side of the canal where it stuck fast.  Looking at a ground level photo of the ship and how high they've got those containers piled I can understand why.  That's an awful lot of top-hamper and a very broad side to present to a cross-wind.

I wondered if there was a steering gear malfunction but that's not supposed to be the case.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny and 53 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.

The dust has settled here in Fifedom.  It was a lovely viewing and service, but rained like the dickens at the cemetary.  It's been a long couple of weeks, and it ended with taking Fifepup and fiance' to the airport yesterday.  Today is the first day that Ms. Kelly and I can just sit down and unwind.

Thanks for all of the prayers and well-wishes. You all mean so much to me.  Some of you reached out to me privately, and those were met fondly as well.

Annnd, this showed up 2 nights ago...
