Morning, Looks like rain will be the word til Monday. At least we did not get swamped as the guessers were yacking about yesterday. Some did.
Banks, My hair almost looks like it did back in 1973. You would not know there is a stay at home order around here, but then you never could. Up where the people are it was easy to see.
That is what I hate about going to scrap yards, about 50% of the time you come out with a flat that cost more to fix than you got for the scrap. Scrap is so low these days the last time I took cans in I had 97LB and only got $10.59.
Wife and I cleared a part of the dence underbrush yesterday to let a Ash tree get some light. It is a re-growth from the roots of one that the bug killed. I hope it makes it.

Sun and a muggy 60. 70 for the day. Storms and downpours of rain overnight. We have been staying in but I see more and more traffic every day. Auto plants will reopen Monday and I'm looking forward to hearing the GT engine that serves the auto plants. The crossing is just over a mile from here.

Good morning all,
Quiet day at work. Picked up sticks in yard and gathered items for heavy trash pickup next week. Weather drier than expected yesterday. No plans for weekend. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hello there,
still boggled by all this.
Fife.......more prayers, how's Mom?
Doug Murphy.......Happy Birthday Buckeye too just in case.
Roy....Glad you got all your hairs cut. I'm starting to look like the professor in Back to the future, last cut was January. I was overdue when this started.
Blair County officially moving from red to yellow tomorrow. Not sure but the only change is retail stores can open, churches are allowed to be open for private prayers but no services. The stay at home order is being ignored more each day.
My 3 day roof replacement should be completed tomorrow on day 6. It might have been done today if they'd stayed late but rain ended their day a bit early. Glad I'm not paying by the hour .
Tuesday I took a load of the old roof to the scrap yard. Got $39.10 for 900lb. Then to the coal yard for a ton of bituminous coal for the farm house. I was just about to turn into the driveway when a tire on the trailer blew. I suspect I may have cut it on something at the scrapyard. Spent the rest of the day doing some much needed pm on the trailer springs. The shackles were so rusty they barely moved, got them loosened up with old oil, a pry bar and some /$#%*<$#*&
Yesterday I bought a new tire, the blown one was only a year old, mowed grass and got the coal in the house. Today a bit of house stuff and a bit of bathroom work . Best get to sleep, fasting bloodwork in the morning.
Prayers for those in need and the end of this pandemic

Good Evening!
FIFE, Sorry to hear about your Mom, prayers for her and your family, hope she is doing better.
Didn't do much today, used some of the left over vinyl fencing material and replaced some trim boards in the yard.
Friday, suppose to have a Thunderbirds flyover! Will be watching for that.
Spend the rest of the day intrigating a "dry bar" back into the train room. It actually belongs to Chris but doesnt have room in the new apartment.
Take care all and be safe!
Don
Hurrah! Was able to get a haircut, actually several since it has been over 2 months! Sign up sheet on door. Only 2 chair shop and only 2 seated customers allowed inside, with masks for all required. Since I was the only one waiting, I signed and sat in an outdoor chair at a closed restaurant next door. Cleaned the chairs and fresh shrink wrap on barber chair arms between customers. They took your temp as you entered. Barber said no problem if you don't show up with a mask, they just shrink wrap your mouth and nose!
Updated a friends MTH TIU and Remote to V6.10 last night.
Fife - continued prayers for your mother

Hello there, Fife......prayers
Rain is the word today,
I guess they opened up WI. with a law suit and people are rushing to the bars and supper clubs, (same thing.) Good luck with that. Stupid is what stupid does. I just can't get it how slefish people are. Me me me me. .
Daughter and crew came by yesterday and brought back my stump grinder they were using. We had pork roast in the crock pot and other fixings. Was good.
Got my blood work back and I will be getting yelled at on the webcam apt next week. AST @ 88 and ALT @103. Guess it is time to dry out. 50 years of Still better than COVID-19
Prayers for Fifey's Mom.
Morning. Sun coming out. Guessers missed it again. Actually light showers north of us and at the farms east. Surprise. Now they don't know if it will rain next week as a subtropical goes up and off the coast. 67 and warming. Now dropping guessed temps Sat. and Sun. to 87 instead of 90's. Suckered tomato plants. Got a couple of little ones. Behind this year compared to last year.Got "skin Dr." appointment this afternoon.
Prayers for Fifey's Mom
Hope all are well.

Fife, your mom will be in our thoughts and prayers. Lucas stayed overnight after spending time with his daughter. Weather wet but warmer. I hope everyone has a good day.
Fife.... Sending you all my best wishes and many prayers for your Mom.
Evening folks!
Cloudy all day - warm. 80. Next few days are warm and possible rain.
Grocery store trip today. They had everything for once. 2 pack limit on pork, chicken, and beef. Wish they had done that at the beginning to thwart the hoarders. Apparently some local distiller has provided bottles of "hand sanitizer" in a plastic 750ml liquor bottle and label that looks like vodka! I put a blue tape label on it to prevent "accidents". This is the first time they have had anything remotely resembling sanitizer in a couple of months.
Washed the Mrs vehicle, sorted/cleared out two more boxes of 'stuff' in the spare room, and then rewarded myself with some minor train maintenance/lube stuff. Set up an 072 circle in the living room, ran a couple of locos, and then put it away prior to dinner. So far, no issues or reprisals resulting from the 'land of mismatched socks' incident yesterday, so all good here. Another "exciting" day!

Sincere best wishes for your Mom, Fife!
Evenin' boys. Quick station stop. Been working at the railyard, and putting my organizational skills to good use. Finally had someone school me on the forklift.
On a personal note, my Mom is in the hospital, and things aren't great. Hoping she can come home to be with family... At least I got to share Mother's Day with her, before things went downhill. Fifepup on his way here to stay for the weekend.
Been mentally preppin' for this for some time...
Good Morning,
Dennis, the TTOS train club meet in orange county is "about" the same size as Arcadia. (Or use to be.) A lot of the same vendors, except "Mike" the parts guy doesn't go there. Typically there are about 1/2 as many people going thru. I don't go often maybe a couple times a year.l
Got Chris all moved last weekend, boy that did me in for a couple of days. It was much harder moving him out then when we moved him in. Since then I've been on furniture repair, (IKEA type). Repaired a couple of chairs, bookcase, and wall unit. Found out yesterday the dry bar that was in the train room is going to be coming back home, after being at his place the past year. Which is fine with me ONCE it is moved. Probably later today.
Weather has cooled off a bit, but is very pleasant outside.
Seems to be a lot of local confusion regarding the Corona restrictions, another 3 months of home restrictions has been met with significant reluctance. I think the days of Buffets is only going to be a memory. Beaches are only open for exercise activity, no sun-bathing, bike riding, picknicking, or sitting on the beach. And all parking lots are closed. I have noticed that local streets, parks, etc., has a lot of joggers and bikers every where. We are coping well, abiding and staying busy.
All I know for now, stay safe all and be careful.
Cloudy good morning. Guessers missed the sunshine they said we were to get. 60 and warming. Was suppose top be mid 70's. Now they say mid to high 60's. Some west of us had light rain. Maybe 30% Monday. Was on "County tax appeals" meeting by phone. Go in 28th and get sworn. Should have official hearings mid to last June. Was suppose to have started in May. Get paid good for this one. Chores outside today.
Busy at work Tuesday. Got oil changed on Escape and mowed the yard. Took over two hours to mow...not sure why. Did nothing after that. Very quiet at office today. Slowly warming up. I hope everyone has a good day.
Afternoon gang!
76 right now. Rained this morning and some more showers possible tonight. Sun never came out. More light storms tomorrow and cloudy cruddy weather for next 7 days...am I still in N TX?
Today was change the washing machine hoses day. Do this every couple of years...preventative. Also a chance to exercise the washer cut off valves and make sure they do not leak. Also did spring cleaning around/under the washer/dryer and laundry room. Threw out more useless stuff, reorganized the light bulbs (like organizing ones sock drawer!) that were scattered between two cabinets (exciting times in lock down eh?), and cleaned the entire room. Annnndddd...found the 'land of mismatched socks' where mismatched socks await a proper pairing...well too bad, the abominable 'cleaning guy' tossed them in the trash...Bwa ha ha ha!
OK - I need therapy - off to the liquor cabinet....

I did find some posts with your old screen name. You may be able to reset your password and be back in business.
60s and sunny on The North Bluff above Marseilles.
Farmers are buzzzzing like bees hammering in crop before tomorrows rains.
Went to the little store in town this morning and there was no meat at the butcher counter but about 10 packs of hamburger. 1.4# of 80% for $9.46?????? Guess I will have to cook the cat.
Got to get a blood draw tomorrow for my Webcam Dr. visit next week.
Welcome back Jason!
Freedom Train 76If anyone knows how I could reactivate my old screen name please let me know,
You could probably get your old "callsign" back by contacting Customer Service, but honestly I like your "Freedom Train 76" avatar and name better. It's colorful and cool!
My original callsign used to be "Firelock76," but when I retired and turned in the company computer I'd been using I lost it. I could probably get it back but don't think it's worth the trouble. Everyone knows it's me anyway.
Sun and 60 tody.
An early trip to Walmart, got most of what we went for. Some employees NOT wearing mask, those are probably the ones who also complain that they have to work.
S.J. Yes they had TP for those in need.
Rough day at work Monday. Totally crashed last night. Did nothing. I hope everyone has a good day,
57 and going to mid 60's. Will get to 90 over the weekend. More watering Wifey's flowers [I said, when it was raining so much, we would need it later]. Mow grass.Welcome back Jason Hope all stay safe and well.
Freedom Train 76............WELCOME!!!!!!!!
Glad to see all had a good Mom's day.
Ours was good. We dined on KFC drive through, Mrs favorite, then watched a movie. Later son and family showed with a flower for Mrs. It was cool and breezy but the adults enjoyed an outdoor social visit while the girls rode their battery Dune Racer and Gator.
Rain again overnight and windy with showers today. No roof work again but Mrs and I did split some more wood. Last batch all gone. I'm probably going to have to put coal in both houses again. Not much left and the yard is to soggy for a big truck load.
Best try to sleep.
Prayers for those in need and this pandemic to end
