Fife - continued prayers for your mother
Been raining all day since dark thirty. Over 2 in here so far...
Repaired the headlight on the Lionel J3a Hudson. The incandescent GOW bulb went out and I do not have any compatible bulbs + Lionel shows the bulb and its substitute as "unavailable". So I fabricated a warm white LED to run off track voltage as the TMCC board only provides 1.5 vac, not enough to power a 3 v LED + a 1 volt drop through a rectifier diode. I did not want to spend time designing a voltage doubler. So I cannot control the headlight with TMCC but I do not care as real locos do not normally extinguish the headlight to back up.
Here is a pic - works good down below 6 vac and up to 20 vac track power - good for conventional and TMCC operation.

Your Marx Diecast engine would be a #333, two versions. One with a shade over the cab windows smokes. Earlier version without shades does not smoke. No news here. Only outside visits are with family.

Morning all
Nothing planned for today, I added a 8' section to my shelves the other day, and yester day I put set #139 ( prewar ) and set #1520W ( post war on it. Pics in SPF.
Trying to organize what I have and get it on the shelves I have open so I can figure out what else I can pull out and how many more shelves I want to build.
Fife Prayers still being lifted for your mother.
Hope all have a good day. Talk to you all later.
Afternoon. 85 and sunny. Breezy now. Watched our Church on laptop. NC Judge has told Gov to let Churches open. Let them go if they want to. Ours will not open now. [you can bet who will be the first one there. Reopen Fred. Says he can't believe we had to shut down. All a hoax. ] Our food plots of clover looking good and green. Deer and rabbits eating. Could use some rain. So could tobacco and soybeans on the farm. Corn on other farms look good.
Fifey, continued prayers. Hope all have a great and safe week ahead.

Chief, I would be glad to send you some of our rain. Another inch overnight and still raining. We have been lucky and not had near as much as not far north of here. We are at 2.1" where they are over 4". I think DougM has had the large amount?
Put the Gator in summer dress. Was suprised to find how easy it was to remove the doors. Two minutes a side.
Good to see Ray, Hope Hudson John is doing better than the last time we talked.
Got some small projects for the shed today and just stay dry.
Update; 6:30PM We are at 3" of rain in 24 hours.
Hey Roy, good to see today it still takes Real drivers to win Real races! So much better than that virtual crap and those kids that grew up on video games .
Dressed for summer.
Good evening all,
A busy weekend. Spent 4+ hours trimming trees and cutting dead out and picking up sticks. Then spent 2+ hours whacking at the 2 foot tall stumps of honey suckle bushes I had trimmed back a few years ago. I found the ax would not dent the wood from the side but would split the stumps if I hit them from above. About 95-99% gone now. Sunday was used to go through pole barn to determine what could go in heavy trash pickup. Weather has been warm and mostly dry. Prayers for Fife's mom. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

RAINING!!!! Chances were tonight from a front moving from the west. Seems the tropical thingy got closer to NC than expected. Getting some rain bans. Thank you Lord for the rain. Now guessers say may rain all week. Need Friday to be dry as food delivery day. Headed east with Wifey in tow. Go looking plants and then stop and dig Grandma's old flowers. Hope to be back right after noon. Pay Cisco for barn repair.
Praying for FifeMom and Family - Fife you know where I am if you need ANYTHING!! I can be there in 4 hours.
Hope all goes well.

Wowzers! Slow day today
No real news from here.
67* going up to 81* with showers today.
A new popup but still no spell check.
56/67 for today. We have had RAIN and lot's of it. Lakeshore is flooding due to an east wind. Our dicktator has opened the northern half of the state for all business' starting Friday. Bars and restaurants at 50%. A holiday weekend with just half the state open will be madness up north.
Rainy good morning. Rain most of the week. Plants here and crops at farms are now happy.
Have a good one.
Hello there, Got my tooth out yesterday so didn't do much.
Helped son load a beef to be butchered this morning. Other than that same old same old.
Roof finished on Friday. Mowed the grass and putzed around the house and watched a couple of movies the rest of the weekend.
Weather has been damp. The ground is to cold to plant corn. Hay is ready now need the weather to make it.
Best see what I can get into, the grass needs shortened again.
Prayers for those in need and the end of this pandemic.

Good morning all,
Work was quiet yesterday. Overdid it this weekend as I did absolutely nothing last night. Monday did start off right with a "dopey grin" email from my Norwegian soccer friend. Their country is starting to open up and their "real' football league starts mid June. Rainy off and on here. Forgot to mention Honda autorack train has started back up and I got to see a rare Sunday daytime run. I hope everyone has a good day.
Good Morning,
We had a little rain yesterday, barely measureable here but did get things wet. Was over by noon. Today in the mid 70's.
Worked in the train room yesterday, all Chris' fault. I had this dry bar in the room since the begining. It is "actually" his, so he thought it would be a good idea to finally put in his apartment. So last year we moved it out. Then I had an old small desk, which I refinished and integrated into the room as a workstation. It really worked well and I liked it. So with his new "bigger" apartment the bar just didn't work. And now as he is working at home, thought the desk would be better than the bar. So NOW I have the bar back, and the workstation is gone! So I had to reorganize the stuff, took about 3 days. But got it done. Looks good, and have a stow away workstation also. So all is well!
Past couple of weeks had a problem with the pool cleaner, finally got it running working again, only has one moving part! I inspected that part 4 or 5 times to no avail, and actually thought it was a different problem. The simplist solution is always the best!
Kay is making arrangements with her hair stylist, for US, oh boy!
Imagine Buckeye is probaly up to his arm pits in grease since he started work in the round house at his local museum. Wishing him good luck, and hope he remembers Soy Sauce is great for burns!
Continued prayers for Fife and family, and home the threatening weather leaves everyone safe.
Take care all and be safe!

Buckeye, I WAS serious about the Soy Sauce, I carried a couple of packages with me all the time. Very easy to touch something you shouldn't, and the soy sauce stops the pain immediately, and also minimizes any burn mark or scar. I would get packets from a Chinese take out. Only bad thing is if there are very many cats around they may find you.
Mornin' boys. Rain and 50 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Fifepup and pupgf just left for FLA a little while ago. I will be heading off to work in an hour.
Mom's looking and sounding better. She is able to set up in her favorite chair and watch her birdies. The periodic pump of the O2 machine, as well as the nurse visits, are the constant reminders... When our talks get too heavy, my wife takes the wheel, so that I can gather myself. She is my Rock.
Thank you for the thoughts and prayers. I believe in them, and they delivered Millie home so that I could be with her. In the Webster's, gratitude has a new group photo next to it.
fife,
Good to hear of your Mom's improvement. Prayers will continue. I can see our feeders from my desk as I type. What are her favorites? Everytime I see them it will remind me to send off a prayer.
Have a peaceful and fulfilling day.

Fife......Glad to hear Mom's doing better. Prayers will continue. We've supported each other for years.
Morning folks!
Some good weather...son planting more grass plugs in the bare spots. Yard took a beating this winter and spring.
Fife - glad your mother perked up some. Continued prayers
Buckeye - how far do you have to drive to the Museum?
Banks - good you finally got the bad tooth out.
Busy day at work. Weather creates a vacuum. Busy tonight. Prayers for Fife's mom. Glad to hear improvement. Does not look good for 500 as they canceled GenCon, which was set for early August. Buckeye, if Ohio is open now, what does that mean for sporting events (i. e. Mid-Ohio in August)? I hope everyone has a good day.
Morning Guys,
Hope your mom keeps it up Fife.
Nothing but rain here the last 5 days. Drying out today but cloudy and cool. Corn is starting to spike in the fields.
Get this USPS story. I ordered some masks on the 10th, they left LA PUENTE,CA on the 11th, got to CITY OF INDUSTRY CA DISTRIBUTION CENTER on the 12th then to the USPS Facility CARSON,C.
