Good morning all,

Less traffic today.  Weather dry but cold.  Watched LEGO Masters finale last night.  Very neat projects.  Some speculate as to whether one couple won due to their circumstances,  but all three efforts were good.  After watching episodes, may have to look at the Technics side of things to see about making some operating accessories for layouts.  Getting things done at work I normally put off until last minute as work is somewhat slow.  Got the stimulus money.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Sun, sun, sun! Heading to 70 today. Another front tomorrow for clouds, lower temps (60's) and rain over the weekend...argh....at least we are done with the 30's (I hope)...

I regularly dose with Bulleit Bourbon...so far so good!

Hello there,

nothing new here.  a little progress on the bathroom each day.

Today's highlight was a trip to the feed store, the drug store and Ace hardware.

Gas is holding at $2.09. Ethanol free is $2.49. I'm tempted to fill up with it just to see how it affects gas mileage.

Best get to sleep.

Prayers for those in need and the end of this pandemic.

Mornin' boys.  Clear and 31 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Calling for rain later.  Nothing on the agenda; perhaps a milk run.

Spent yesterday on the phone catching up with friends.  Placed an order with Hobby Lobby.  Discovered that dry-transfer lettering apparently has a shelf life.

"Virtual" YORK looks intrigueing.

Snowmorning,

3" of fresh heavy white stuff out there. Way less than they were squawking about yesterday. They had us up to 7". I will wait for it to melt.

Last night wife got up to go to the bathroom and woke me up to tell me there was no water. I checked and she was right. I think is was the cycle phase the softener was in because it was fine after a bit??? maybe why they have them run at night?  Huh?

Cloudy and 37. No snow here, yet. It has stayed south of us. On the nicer days we walk, days like this we use the exercise bike.

Morning team!

Gray and 63, with a cold front at noon taking us to low 50's by this evening. Ugh...

Did some shopping and got what we needed. They are controlling TP sales, $7.50 for a 4 pack! Gas was $0.94 at Kroger gas station with our Kroger discount.

Holy smoke, $7.50 for a four-pack of TP?  Sounds like there's some price gouging goin' on there!  Last four-pack we got was $3.99, and that was just a few days ago.  Lady F saw a 20 pack at Wal-Mart for $14.99 just about the same time.

T G I F

For youse giz  that are retired that means it's Friday and I get 2 days off....in a row.

We went for Hot Dogs for dinner and I had 2 chili dogs and we split an order of Cheese Fries.  Good eats - - we ate in the parking lot for something different. We went off to clean up the stairwell to the train room and Jenni's Dad called, her Grandma had passed, and she was very close to her up until her 1 son moved her to North Jersey.  She had developed the alzheimers and we did visit but Jenni said it wasn't her.  She very upset and there is no word of funeral or anything right now.

Paycheck today was about $700 lighter than usual.  That'll get the mortgage paid and the car, but it'll be tough with the other bills.  We should manage to squeek by.  We ain't driving anywhere that's for sure. Gas is at $2.05 and further away it's $1.89.

Sun now, rain until tomorrow night, might make 50 both days.  Sunday SUN and 65 for Jenni's walk through.

Looking good Fife....and thanks for the heads up on Hobby Lobby....I need to make a baswood order for my sidewalks and curbs, so NOW I can do that......

That's all from Central Jersey.

I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.

Sorry to hear about Jenni's grandmother 'devil.

If there's any consolation, once Alzheimers sets in the person one knew and loved starts going away, never to return.  When the end comes it's truly a release.

Sooner or later "The Night Train" comes for us all.

Roy, That is a great price on gas. Here it is $1.63 with the Kroger discount. We have $.38 a gallon state tax on top of whatever the Feds get.

I got 64 Gallons of Dyed diesel delivered to my transfer tank last week for the JD tractor. Was pleased to get the bill and find it was only $1.499 a gallon! Last time I got some it was twice that.

Most of the snow is melted. Yes

Illinois schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year.

Sorry about Jenni's grandmother Rich. Angel We were there last year with Sandra's mother.

Sun and 50 today. We had wet snow falling ALL day yesterday, it was kinda weird as it was more like rain. No big news here, gas is really cheap but we are not allowed to go anywhere.

Morning folks from presently 48* and partly sunny N Texess!

Should hit 64 today and maybe a shower later today. Better than the all day rain originally predicted.

Texess will start Monday with relaxing some restrictions on certain businesses. Planned/phased process dependent on how well folks comply/continued lowering of infections. Schools will not reopen for spring semester. Starting today one must wear a face mask when entering a business. A business can refuse your entry if you are not wearing a mask.

Afternoon.  Slept really late as raining hard.  Animals too.  Wifey spent the night at her sister's.  Phone calling woke us up.  Cooked sausage biscuits.  Made be a big patty like a hamburger.  Put on hamburger bun with cheese and egg.  Brunch.  Now to clean kitchen.

Rain seems to have stopped.  67 degrees.

Disked garden yesterday afternoon.  Got more meals to deliver so did that as a drive-thru.   Folks were lined up when I got to the school.

Stay well.

Afternoon All,

We had some really great weather for 3 days, now its cooled off again and suppose to get some rain today and tomorrow.  Then by Wed warm up again.

Doug DG, No surprise about the fair, IMO the Del Mar Fair is the best one in So Cal..  One year Kay and I went to all of them, Del Mar, Indio, Orange Co, Riverside, L.A., Ventura and San Bernadino.  Same vendors at all of them.

Almost have run out of projects, need to do something about our door bell, exsisting one has a broken wire somewhere, can't really put in a new one without tearing up a lot of walls.  So think I'm going to get a wireless one instead.

I must admit I've been impressed with the govenor and how he has handled the situation here.  Really need to get people back to work, its got to be really scary and hard on younger families!  But don't want a lot more people dying either.  The phased plan makes sense to me.  If people would use common sense I think we would all win.

Kays mom was released from the "skilled nursing home", and is back at home.  Kay has spent the past 2 days at her home, seeing if she can handle things for herself, the MIL can really be difficult when she wants too.

About all from here, so take care ALL!

Don

Mornin' boys.  Sunny and 34 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Supposed to get up in the 60's later, so I will mow the lawn, and perhaps get a fishing line wet.  Either way, Fifey needs to get away from this PC today.  Yesterday, we dropped off a "woo-quet" (ehhh, like that?) to nurse princess.  We miss her, and she needed the pick-me-up.

Been trying to make a false-front warehouse, to conceal hidden track.  The area is behind the canal basin, and it has been a challenge.

Well, I did rebuild two under-performing Lionel smoke units this week, even added an "on-off" switch to one engine that didn't have one.  Both smoke like champs now, so the quarantining had at least one good effect in my case.

Now, to figure out what else to tinker with...

Wow, outside work galore. We hauled old limbs from big oak around front to the pond woods. Young man and his GF were in small plastic/vinyl boat fishing in the pond. Had a nice trolling motor attached.

We came back with tailgate full of rocks [some big]. Wifey stacks them around the pond and makes borders for flower gardens. We dug up plants and moved them. Cut trench in front of shelter for the rain that was to start at 2. Had filled in over the years. No, no rain yet. Just clouds.

Wifey has roast, potatoes, onions and carrots cooking in the crock pot. Smells great. She is frying hotdogs [what I did for dinner late last night] for a snack. We both are running on empty.

Good evening all,

Watched the Indycar Irace yesterday.  Penske team won, Foyt team not so good (just like real racing).  Did go for a 3.4 mile walk on outside trail in town.  Did it barely under an hour.  Ugh.  Thought the Amazon Firestick went poof on TV, but it was working today.  Go figure.  Sunny but cool yesterday.  Cloudy today.  Supposed to be sunny Monday so I will mow then.  Gas has been as low as 1.06 nearby.  Anj, my condolences on the loss of Ms. Jenni's grandmother.  The better half went to a virtual shower for daughter today using ZOOM.  She enjoyed seeing everybody.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Evening folks!

Some rain today. Ended up in the 70's, nice, sat out on the porch this evening. Kids came over for homemade lasagna dinner.

MikeC - interesting, I also thought my Firestick shot craps today. Then it started working...? Amazon network problem???
