Morning folks!

Cloudy again but a bit warmer. Seems we will get a few days close to 70 and then 50's for the weekend. The rain chances continue and we are on track for 3.5 in+ through next weekend. Very soggy here...

Saw that Eastern Div was going to make an announcment first week of April but based on some comments I have seen, I went to the York Cty fairgrounds (yorkfair.org) and the York Expo center websites (yorkexpo.com) and both say the same thing, all events are 'temporarily suspended' until May 10th.

Yesterday spent the afternoon repairing a security camera that had quit working. Tested the camera and it was not working well, but not working at all on the cable. Found the cable was bad (voltage at 1-2 VDC vs 12 VDC) and that required crawling around in the attic over the garage. Also replaced the camera. Not pleasant for this old guy, but at least it wasn't too warm.

Mrs got results of her post op regular doc visit and testing. Her white blood cell count is below what it should be so we have to sorta self quarantine since her immune system has not recovered from the surgery. She is doing great but total recovery is still months away.

Sister and BIL should be on their way back from Buenes Aries. Warned them about the US Customs/TSA lack of staffing disasters at the airport. Told them to make sure they have snacks and water for the possibly 3-4 hr wait.

Regards, Roy

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 43 (no NASCAR) in the Potomac Highlands.  Will head to office after while to handle some on-going business, but that's about it for the RR.  No complaints, as we didn't want to bring folks from outside the region.  However, news is saying patients may be brought to Cumberland from other areas in Maryland, which will shove the whole camel into the tent, so to speak.  Concern for middle Princess.

Looks like YORK ain't happening, as it would be a target rich environment for the Woo-han.  Might paint some --> --> --> in the family room, and have Wifey yell at me when I go the wrong way.

I'm certainly LUCKY that I have you all to banter with.

Hello there,
 Been neglecting to post.

PA shut down at midnight last night. The world is crazy. Seems like everyone is afraid to go without TP. Bottled Water is 2nd on the list.  Panic buying hit here too. So far it hasn't taken the stores long to restock. Mrs and I did buy a couple gallons of milk and put in the freezer along with flour and yeast for the bread machine. Got a freezer full of meat, lots o stuff in the fruit cellar and 6 eggs a day from the chickens. We're good for a long time.  If it gets real bad there's 3 cows in the barn.

Other wise a decent week. Mrs is still moving kinda slow, fear she may still have pneumonia. Made some more progress on the bathroom redo and did some spring pruning.  Looks like the groundhog was right. Crocus are about done, daffodils are blooming trees look ready to open leaves.

Found out last week another tooth is cracked and needs pulled. O joy, at least it's on the other side of my mouth. Comes out April 6th.

Someone mentioned York is cancelled. Checked the Eastern Division website just now, says they're still considering it.

88........the kids look GREAT!

Best get on with the day

Prayers for those in need

Evenin' Fellas

WOW have times changed.

Made it to BWI today to get the kids and I enrolled in Global Entry program for our trip in June to Jamaica. Praying that is still on. Enrollment went rather smooth, so now just waiting for approval and our GE cards. Noticed the kids' passports expire next year, so now that is on the list of things to do when we return from Jamaica.

The kids wanted to paint one wall in each of their rooms. We bought their paint last weekend and yesterday we spent some time teaching them how to properly paint. Both rooms turned out nicely... now to put them back together. lol

Christina's Room:

Matthew's Room:

I have to paint the trim around the new front doors and paint the new back door (had to be replaced due to damage from the build).

Can't remember anything else I was going to say... lol

Good Afternoon,

Yep, the hysteria continues.  I actually made a trip to Costco this morning.  We usually go once every 2 or 3 weeks, so thought I would just do it!  So I got there 30 minutes before the store opened, and out in an hour and half.  Not bad, and got everything I went for, so that was totally acceptable!  Couldn't get over the panic buying though, people are crazy.

See that York has been cancelled, not a bad idea.  Especially when you consider the demographics of the attendees.  I know it would be a real disaster trying to schedule a trip or doing any traveling.

Buckeye sure is doing a great job on the layout, its going to be awesome!

Chief, what are you going to do with all your free time????

Not much more to post, need to go and empty the rain gauge, suppose to get more all week.

Later.

Light snow falling on The North BLuff above Marseilles. Maybe hit mid 40s later. Gray and gloomey.

I guess a lot of kids went out to party and filled the bars over the weekend so now IL. is closing all restaurant dinning rooms and bars starting tonight, Drive up windows are okay. Schools are shut down as of tomorrow at least to the 30th and now they are saying maybe for the rest of the year. They are setting up E-learing clases.

A friend of mine and his wife that go to a big church both have fever and hacking for over four days now and still trying to get tested? They hope it can happen this week. Both over 65 years old. Most of the churches are now not open.

We are voting tomorrow and hope to find supplies when we go on Wed? Gas is now right at $2.00 or a little less.

Morning folks!

Raining on and off. Cloudy and gray. More rain on tap for next 7 days, predicting 3 in or more.

it has been pretty cool here, cool enough that we had a fire going in the brick lined hole in the living room wall. The Ms was very happy!

Not much going on today. Just taking it easy. Stay well all!

Dougsnotta - I'll take a dozen eggs! Thanks!

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy & 33 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  I'm determined not to watch any news today.  Instead, I will concentrate on projects around the home, and in the train room.  I need to prep some electrical projects for the grandson to do, when he comes up next week for Spring break.  I want the youngest princess to finish my creek bed for me, so I can finish scenery in that section on move on.  Need to patch the wall that damaged when we installed the new hot water heater.

Have a nice day.

Good Evening,

Well California is leading the way again, ALL folks over 65 are now being directed "to stay home" (if they have one), all bars, pubs, etc., are Now being asked to close, restaurants are now required to limit seating to 50% of their previous capacity to accomodate spacial distanceing, all gatherings including weddings, parties etc., are being requested to be rescheduled/postponed for 8-12 weeks. Visitors are not allowed at nursing homes etc., unless it is life threatening, hospital visitation has been restricted to 2 persons per patient for 4 hours, AND MORE TO COME!

I dont believe this is going to do much to reduce paranoia!  Guns sales have gone up over 300% in the past week.  Wow!

Wish I had better news, just thought their is another national debate scheduled, wonder how that will work without a live audiance.

Good luck all and STAY healthy!

Good evening all,

Got federal taxes done.  Worked some more on puzzle.  Emailed my Norwegian soccer friend.  They are all locked in at home.  Must be bad there.  Was good to hear from her though.  Weather warmer today.  Drier as well.  Did not go outside at all.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Afternoon folks!

Coudy, misty, raining on and off, 53 right now. The predicted 70's never materialized. Rain and no sun predicted for next 10 days now. Gloomy...especially for here....

Well, with all auto racing, sports, etc., cancelled, I have my extensive DVR collection of SpongeBob shows to fall back on....

Went out to our favorite Chinese food place last night for dinner. Had the place to ourselves. Very pleasant. And the roads were deserted also!

Hello from Orlando. Attractions closing, stores limiting their hours, Church services' attendance down, Nursing Homes restricting visitors etc. On the bright side, neighbors following Health Authority's advice and most of all, watching out for each other and checking on us "older" guys and gals. "Keep The Faith", this too shall pass. Wishing all of you well throught this challenge.  PS If you are quarantined and bored....there's always the layout.

The hording has hit the sticks, NO TP anywhere. Tongue Tied
Ground is covered with new snow.
The SIL works as maintenance at a company that bottles water. So on the leap day the machines shut down because they could not figure out what date to put on the bottles as an expiration date even though water does not go bad the Gov makes them put a date on them anyway. So, one of the employees reset the machine and screwed up the date and they ran a whole day bottling water that had a sell by date as 3-1-2020
So rather than throw it all out they offered it to the workers. Dan is on his way over to drop off 54 cases of water today.  Laugh

They don't have spell check but the pop-up works good.

Sun with 31/40 for the day. The grocery store madness continues. So far are lives here are running normal. No train news, everything local has been canceled.

Mornin' boys.  37 with a scattered covering of snohizo on the ground.  No plans today.  Visited friends last night, and had a good time snacking and sipping.

Been working on a tin tri-plane for the layout.  Picked it up at Hobby Lobby, and it's pretty close to 1/48.  Trying a low-flying angle mount, instead of the ceiling suspension by string.  Wifey also bought me a metal locomotive wall art piece, that she will "let" me mount on the train room door.

Good evening all,

Rainy cold day.  Binged watch a show the wife was watching.  Also worked on a puzzle.  Really exciting.   Daughter sent some pics of an item youngest grandson built from his dad's Erector set I got him for Christmas several years ago.  May have to get a set off eBAY for him as well.  Did my heart good.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

It's official, via e-mail last night was notified that all of the museums in Balboa Park will be closed from 3/16 thru 3/31. For Saturday and Sunday the Model RR Museum will be limiting the number of people in the museum to 250 people max which includes guests, volunteers and employees.
