Welcome to March, goodbye winter. No matter what happens this month winter is behind us. Still recovering from Strep Throat. I don't think this old body is responding like it use to

Hello all!

"Goodbye to winter?"  I don't know man, I'm from New Jersey.  We didn't stop worrying about winter and snow until the first of May!

Ask me about getting caught in a snowstorm the second week of Jersey trout season in April!   There's a tale...

Evening folks!

Early start to the 'pot this month. A beaut of a day today. 70. Sunny. Very windy. Same for tomorrow.

Changed out all 3 shower heads today. Found a Moen we liked. The old ones were getting hard to clean. Had to slice through the fitting on one with a side grinder. Only nicked the threads on the pipe a bit. The fitting was so calcium caked internally it would not loosen, even with some vinegar soak.

Happy March SJ!

Ugh - daylight savings time coming soon...

Regards, Roy

Good evening all,

Perfectly awful practice today.  Only did 10 miles in a little under 3 hours.  Just could not get going.  Should have gone to Muncie train show instead.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning all

Ahh the month of March, the begining of Spring for me. ( S.C. ) 28* outside right now but from what I can see it will be in the 60's to very low 70's for the rest of the week for highs and mid 40's to mid 50's for lows.

Winter is done!!!! Sad But March just came in like a lamb. Surprise

Attended the Mt. Hope Train and Toy Show yesterday. An overwhelming amount of HO and N.  I saw very little Williams, which was a surprise. The Amish community turned out strong.  With the use of solar power, they were buying HO locomotives. I overheard one Amishman and a vendor discussing LED lighting for his buggy. Huh?

Have a good week.

Yeah Bucks, from what I've been seeing at the shows I go to the Williams stuff seems to be disappearing, both the new products and definately the vintage.

Quite a change from ten years ago when I'd go to a Greenberg show and there'd be exhibitors there with "walls" of Williams.  Sad.

I did luck into a Williams Baldwin "Shark" set in B&O markings back in February.  I wasn't looking for something like that but there it was, the price was more than right, and "Sharks" just look so cool!   Wired the motors in series so I don't have that Williams diesel rocket effect, and the unit's perfection itself.

50 and sunny.  That is until the normal rain starts this afternoon.  Then Tuesday and Wednesday.  Better than snow.

Read to elementary school kids this afternoon.

Go to FIL's and pickup 5 V tin and lumber.  Take to farm soon.

Enjoy the week.

Good morning all,

Busy day at work.  Wet Monday.  Dry today and quieter at work.  Noticed the Chief is not teaching the kids about that "all American sport" which is a shame considering how popular it is in that state.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Quick stop by, working from Princeton Hospital -

Mom has bronchitus and the flu, steroid treatments and IV fluids, hope to have her home this afternoon.  She's sleeping now, will check on her in a few.

Overspent at Greenburgs, got Jenni some stuff, she bought some of her own stuff, I did get a K Line abandoned bridge with fisherman for $25 and a wigwag board from JLM in Freehold.  The board doesn't work, I'll be emailing him later to see what's up.  I did hook it up correctly to my 154 crossbuck, so we'll see.

Been working from home as of late, so it's a nice change.  I have to go to a shop and speak with the manager tomorrow, so I'll be on the road - I like the way the font and boldness just changed on the post.....wtf???

OK, will check back later

Chief, yes reading to the kids is fun. Cat used to have us managers do it several times a year if we wanted to.

Wow, 15 days out and I am still not clear of this crud! It started out like flu and went away fast but just still holding me down two weeks later?
I feel like a half flat tire. Tongue Tied

Happy birthday to Tyler! Our step grandson Dan Jr. turned 16 yesterday. Time is flying by.

Hello there, started this last night but crashed.

Happy Birthday to Tyler.

After a week of hacking and coughing  Mrs decided to go to MedExpress Monday. Yep...she's got pneumonia.

Working on the bathroom every chance I get. Wiring mods in progress. Bought 2x4s today to add studs in the correct locations for the tub surround.

The winter that wasn't is almost over. The oak tree in the yard is almost bare and a pair of robins was spotted in the yard. Knock on wood, only plowed snow once and that was about 2 inches of sleet.

I renewed my TCA membership amd bought York passes. Who all is coming??

Looking forward to the Oak Ridge Boys on Saturday at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster. Gonna miss the Altoona train show but I've been to many shows, this will be the 6th time seeing the Oaks. Better yet I'll be accompanied by two lovely ladies,  Mrs and her niece.

Gave the go ahead on a new roof for the farm house. The guy is 35% less than the next.  Makes me leary but they're all buying the metal from the same local company. Gonna watch them like a hawk.

Best get on with the day.

Prayers for those in need

Gloomy this morning but high in the 40s today. Much better than the usual early March here. We're gonna take a stroll through the new Super Kroger this morning. It's been open for awhile so I guess going there now should be ok.

Mornin' boys.  Breezy and 49 in the Potomac Highlands.  Have to head back down to railyard today to continue the work I couldn't get done yesterday.  Took Wifey for her check-up, and she's done a fabulous job lowering the bp.  Tomorrow is my turn...

Saw that 88 posted on WMSR's facebook page.  Coming out to see me Brent?

Banks - Liked your post so much, I read it twice.  I have my YORK ticket, and as of now I hope to be there Friday.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

DJ...Nice win for Rutgers. My Boilers beat Iowa again. Laugh

Working on the benchwork for the new layout by cutting the OSB. About three years ago, I started looking at my power tool situation and realized I had first class junk except for my drills and power screwdrivers. I now have a new saber saw and a new circular saw. Wow! The new saws are so easy to use.

Will not be making York this year.  Hope to be there this fall.

Have a good day.
