Morning folks!

Coudy, 78 for the moment, 92 this afternoon, and maybe a shower late.

Kev - continued prayers for Sandra!

Fife - well of course the reviews went up with your return! I'll bet if you start wrenching on the 1309 you can speed that up too!

MikeC - both our kids were in marching band, obviously the heat's really bad down here, and yes the band directors are relentless.

Regards, Roy

Mornin' boys.  Partly sunny and 63 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Worked 5 trains in a row this past weekend, without a hitch.  Reviews have been very positive the past 2 weeks...coincidence?  Perhaps.  Forgot to mention that I got to see CSX 3194 Spirit of Law Enforcement diesel, on Saturday.  It was in Cumberland all day (same day as the Back the Blue 5k).  This unit is truly stunning in person.

Good evening all,

Quiet day at work, but a long day.  Talked to sister about her twin daughter's marching band.  Seems like the band won, but six of the kids (including one of the twins) passed out from the heat.   What kind of idiot band director allows that to happen???  Got CTT today.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Afternoon all!

Cloudy and some sun. 86 at the time being. Pretty warm.

Kids will be here tonight for family dinner. Wife and daughter are working on some handmade attendee gifts for the "moms" shower lunch next Sunday. When did everyone have to receive a gift for attending a shower?  A gold star for showing up with a shower gift? I asked them if someone does not bring a shower gift do they not get the attendee gift? For some reason they are ignoring me????

#17 Texas A&M continue to find ways to continue dropping in the polls with the 28-20 loss to #3Auburn. The final score is misleading, A&M had no control in that game.

Kev - nice and you will like the synthetic rope vs wire rope.

Good afternoon guys,

Rain today so I went and got then installed a 4,500# winch on the new Gator, That should pull any deer out of the deep back ravine and do fine with tree work around here!  Yes With the JD winch ready kit already in the Gator it fit nice and has the Synthetic rope so should be fine.
Got it with the 11% off at Menards! Smile

Kevin and others if you go to my site on shutterfly and click on the making of my trainroom, you can see the progress as it has happened. I did not take as many pictures as I wanted but there is enough for you all to see.

Morning folks!

Cloudy and quite warm. Low 90's today. Been running about 5 degrees above normal. Predicted to stay that way for next several weeks. Surprisingly the weathe folks summer wrap up stated this summer nawth Texess run below normal for temperatures. Figure that out since the upper Midwest was much higher than normal.

Had a meeting late afternoon yesterday to finalize daughter's wedding venue, layout, and rough out the food $$$$$$...it's gonna be nice!

KEV - prayers for Sandra!

RT - movin along!

DonB - great news re the eyes!

Chief - plop, plop, fizz, fizz....

KRM

Morning,

RT, post some pictures over here, or do you have a thread running on CTT I have not seen?

Right now it's a holy mess in there lol. All I have at present is a 12' X 16' four feet up. I used 2" x 4" in a 4' framing boxes and since added shelves and even built some under it, to store all I have and not sure I have enough room with that lol.

Will try to get some updated Pics today. I'm finding things I forgot I had, even items I thought I sold long time ago ( ie a texas special passenger set ( no boxes but the whole set. ) also discovered I had seventeen 2500 series aluminum passenger cars boy do most of them need cleaning big time. And I'm going to get down to two of each and buy a 2353 set of AA Santa-Fe's for the other 5 of them and I will have both 2190W sets. Lionel did the same set with same set # 2190W but one had the 2343's and the other had the 2353's in them. 2343's where from 1952 and the other from 1953.

Morning all.

Plans for today clear all the paper and stuff on the floor in this room, as now the train sets and other boxes of trains are out of it :) , Also put some time in the train room trying to get eight 27GL tubs of trains onto shelves. Actually should say eleven as I have three sitting in a corner under the table also.

The plan is already to expand the layout, on the 16' side I can go twelve feet long and another 10' deep. I have to leave an area of 4' x 10' for a short platform, about 4' x 4'  plat form and then 2 or 3 steps and room for the door to the outside that is in that room, the sliding barn style door, which will be on the inside of the main house. There a spot which use to be a window that we are just going to legnthen it to floor level of the house and put the door there.

Otherwise life goes on here. Hope all have a good weekend.

Morning,

Don, GREAT news on the eyes!!! Yes I know that stuff was working on your mind.

RT, post some pictures over here, or do you have a thread running on CTT I have not seen?

I wanted to go to a antique tractor pull in Symerton today with my brother but he has kidney stones again and it is raining now and looks like rain in the afternoon. Lightning Storm I was going to try to take the 6yo grand-son Jordan with but doubt we go now. Sad

Best go open the gate.

Hello there,

Kev.....good luck to Sandra

Don.....great news on the eye.

Mrs has the last of the maters from our garden in the crock for chili.

      Slept late this AM.

Last drag of the season tonight. There is a rain date next weekend but they've elected to forgo it due to issues getting water for the track.

That said although they're gaining on him  there's a slim chance of anyone catching grandson in the points race. I'm  hoping the gearing change I made yesterday will put him back in 1st in tonight's race.

That and a hill climb club meeting were yesterday's activities.

Best get on with the day

Prayers for those in need.

Good Evening,

Boy is that an understatement!!

Kev, WSure hope everything goes well for Sandra, it would be a wonderful Christmas gift for her to be able to get out of all that pain.  Lots of prayers from the left coast!

RT, You're making really making a lot of progress!  You've accomplished a lot in the past month.  There is ACTUAL carpet tape available.  It is what is commonly used at trade shows.  Do a google on it you will probably find it.  It is really good stuff, will do just what your looking for.  Removable but strong.  Also, maybe you could use the Transfer Table in a classification yard, for shifting cars around, just a thought.

I had a great day, went to the VA expecting another injection in the eye, (Macular-Degeneration).  After the exam and photo were done.  The Dr. said sorry, you don't need another injection, it appears the condition has become inactive!!  I noticed 2 days ago the gray spot has disappeared, and today my left eye even tested better.  They still want to monitor it on a 6 week basis, and that's great.  All in all, a huge sigh of relief here!  Still have an appt on Monday for plastic surgery on the eye lid.  The drooping creates a blind spot and they can correct it.  Just a quick out patient procedure, and a couple of stitches.

Went over the expenses of my trip, turned out it was considerably less than what I was expecting.  I guess all that free-loading paid off.  Thanks Chief for all the tips, and SJ you were right on.  Its easy once you get started.

If any of you enjoy country music, PBS has a series on "Country Music", there are 8 two hour episodes, #1 and #2 are being re-broadcasted tonight (Sat 9/21), you might want to set the DVR.  Essentially it the evolution of Country Music.

Take Care all and be Safe

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. She will have two MRIs on Monday to get things rolling. Would like to get this all done before the holidays, but it is what it is.

Got 1/4" of rain overnight and heading to 87 today. Will be a stickey one here today on The North Bluff.

Hello there,

Doc visit Wednesday went better than expected. He says due to my numbers the known blockages would've gotten any worse. I need to lose more weight and I'm retaining fluid so oh joy he started me on Lasix.

Grandaughters soccer team improved to 5 and 1 breaking  a 0 to 0 tie with 2 minutes to play. The girls were wupped playing with no subs.

Spent yesterday farming. Covered a lot of ground to get 80 bales due to dry weather. Shoulda  been 250.

Best get on with the day

Evening folks!

Cooler today due to the tropical depression between here and Houston. Radar seems to show this thing has dissipated quite a bit. Maybe some rain tomorrow.

Spent many hours yesterday and today dealing with an upgrade to Norton PC security. Lotsa hours of on line chat and phone help. 3 of 6 PCs choked on the long download. Norton's software is great, once you get it loaded and actually working...argh...

Good evening all,

Quiet day at work.  One more day of I-465 construction.  Weather nice.  Watched "my" soccer girls take an early lead then lose to a team helped by the non calls of the officials.  Lot of the girls got hurt due to lax reffing.  Not too sure this is fun anymore.  Maybe I should stick to 5Ks.  Non contact sport.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Sir James I --- Banks:   Hey guys, appreciate your replies.  YORK, while on my bucket list, is still "down the road". My post to LAZ was just sort of a way to say Hi since it has been a while. Thanks, again.

You no longer need a sponser for York. Just go to the Silver hall and register as a guest. You can do that one time.
