Good evening all,

Although it is after midnight, I am posting here to wish everyone a Happy New Year and to give the Chief a chance to open 2019.  Quiet day again.  We did go see Bumblebee tonight.  By far the best of the live action Transformer films so far.  Of course having Hailee Stenfield in it does not hurt.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Hello there,

way better this evening. Thanks for all your concerns and prayers. Got the catheter out this AM and two different ointments to aid in healing. Doc says 1 in 10 have this problem. Guess I'm the lucky one.

I gave up trying figure out gas prices. Locally gas is $2.29. Home heating oil/off road diesel has been cheaper than gas forever. Last week gas was $2.39 and I paid $2.69 for Heating oil.

Mrs is allready reclinerized. Bed is calling.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Prayers for those in need

From the Columbus Dispatch:

The average price of gas was $1.80 in Franklin County on Monday and $1.92 in Ohio.

Columbus-area drivers continue to get a break at the pump.

Gas stations across central Ohio are selling gas for well below $2 a gallon.

The average price of regular unleaded gas Monday was $1.80 in Franklin County, with the lowest around $1.50, according to AAA and GasBuddy. The national average was $2.26 and $1.92 in Ohio, according to AAA.

Am pleased some are seeing a drop in gas prices. The Shell and Arco stations down the road from me are posting #3.39 9/10 for regular cash price.

Here is something from the "I never thought I would see that again." category.  I spotted it while I was out getting goodies for the evening celebration.

Let's hope that we are all treated to positive surprises in 2019

Happy New Year's Eve -----

Bike is tucked away in BIL's shed, it did fit, I had to take the windshield off, which was loosen 4 bolts and its done.
Car was scheduled to go and the landlord had a big hole in the driveway, so I'll be taking it to work on Friday and then to Delaware, as it's technically on the way there anyhow.  I'll be spending the night in DE, then, depending on weather, we'll have a photo shoot with some of the guys from Delaware.  So Sunday, I fixed the shed doors in my back yard instead.

The train/ping pong table has 7 legs now and is the proper height without the foam boards, with the foam will be the same height throughout the layout.  I'm slowly moving things around to swing the table into it's east-west configuration, as the attic it full and I've moved just about everything I could to the other side of the attic, so items are being moved into the bedroom......then I can get the train table from the fire house and plug that in.  I could be laying track in 2 weeks......

So, basically, the main part of the layout will be 5X9, dogleg down to 4X8, then cross over the stairs to a 20"x8' leg.  Depending on room, may have another off shoot of that, 10"X12" pad for possibly an accessory (I have a log loader, Menards Domino Sugar and American Power and Light, amongst others).

After work, going over my sister's house tonight about 8 ----- might leave at 1230 is after the Times Square stuff is over.

Happy New Year, guys!!!

Prayers and well wishes all around for health and a better 2019!!

53 degrees and rainy.

Tonight starts a new POT.  If I don't make it, whoever.

Probably hunt as guessers say now only slight chance of rain.  Last day of season.

Have a good one.

Happy New Year's eve!   Hoping for 2019 to be a better year, as '18 sure was a bumpy one.  My resolution is not to spend money on the trains until I've finished all the projects on the layout.

Working as conductor on both murder mysteries tonight, which is kinda cool since I received the latest Murder on the Orient Express DVD.  Very rich cinematography, like Titanic meets Polar Express (no kidding, that was my impression).  Wifey loved it.

Slipped across the Potomac for a wedding and visit with grandsons this weekend.  Dropped off a MTH WM flat car to nephew, and my sister's family still proudly sets up the platform I made them several years ago.  'Twas a nice time, and traffic was not an issue either direction.

As to home inspectors, we have a good one locally, and when the middle princess was about to purchase a rancher (that I suspected had moisture issues), he found the whole front had mold issues in the front basement wall.  Realtor was furrious with him, but we didn't care how she felt.  Mike works for the buyer.  The newlyweds found another house, and never looked back.

rt - Thanks for the support.  Check for screws periodically....

Banks - Hope the plumbing gets better.

Afternoon.  Was rainy but guessers say gone until tonight.  Rain tomorrow.  Future Cast says no rain Tuesday but guessers are saying its wrong.  Hope they are wrong.  If so, will hunt last day.  Not into killing anyway.  That is unless big 8 [on camra] comes by.  Just enjoy getting out in the woods and away from everything.

Enjoy the day.

Banks...If you are traveling I-76 to Detroit it is close to the highway. You may also want to stop at Stockyard Express near Oberlin, Ohio, west of Cleveland, too.

Morning folks!

39 and gray. some drizzle, rain predicted later. Humid.

The Ms. is under the weather with a nasty cold. Banks - we have tried the various zinc treatments and it does not help us in any way. She does take various vitamin supplements. Hope you recover quickly from the setback Angel

Yesterday, first went with daughter and future SIL to look at a local wedding venue. It is very nice and the Ms. and I had attended a couple of weddings there. So daughter approved and we have booked it for Nov 10th. Reasonable price all things said.

I have had several accounts hacked.

Morning all. Looks like with all the visitors I managed to get a cold. Getting through it pretty quickly though.

Probably take the tree down today and pack away the holidays for another year. Might move the train platform downstairs for a while.

Hope for all the best in the new year.

Good Morning,

For those of you that may have Facebook accounts, I have deleted (deactivated, closed) mine I think.  I've gotten a couple of calls asking if I opened another Facebook page, a few emails.  Then this morning I got a friend request from ME !!  (I had 12 mutual friends !??).  So anyway I zapped it.

Banks, hope the recovery is going well.

RT, Boy you have a lot of trains, maybe you should keep the other house and open it as a museum.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A HAPPY NEW YEAR and BE SAFE!!!
