Rain and 70 today. Hand doctor released me today. Of course it will still take time to heal inside. I ran some trains yesterday morning, everything is working.

Mornin' boys.  Foggy, humid and 68 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Wifey getting ready to head to Outer Banks with the love-birds.  Nuptials on Saturday.  My buddy Tom is coming into town today, to keep FifeMax company.  I need to head down to railyard to log a few hours in, before my 4-day "vacation".

Fifepup made it to Orlando yesterday morning, and he's getting settled in with his flat-mates.  He was realy upbeat talking on the phone last night.

Chief - Wish I could slide by for a visit, but time is simply unforgiving this trip.  (A month ago, it would have been soooooo easy....)

Aloha. Boy, sometimes this won't let me log in for some reason. This looks like a beautiful cool fall day in the city - last night a storm blasted through causing my train home to have to stop because a tree fell on the line. Fortunately, I was able to escape to a nearby pub to await rescue from my bride. The drive home was something else with other trees down and traffic lights out. Enjoy that 'vacation' Fife!

Morning all

Autumn came to Western PA.  Temps dropped over night and a cool weekend is on order.  Fuming a bit about how poorly packaging has gotten from a few of the manufacturers.  You'd think they would want better protecting to save costs on repairs.

Daughter and her pup coming in for next week.  It will be interesting to see how my pups get along.

Take care all!

I loged in tonight to reply on a thread. So I decided to say Hello here as well. I will probably back off  posting here till they can make this site work properly. I got stuck with a log-in and could not log out, I didn't like leaving an unprotected site open overnight but had no choice.I will continue reading it though.

Good evening all,

Another quiet day at work.  Cool weather for a walk.  Last Junior High soccer game of the season did not go well as we lost 9-3.  High school girls lost 8-1.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Phish,

Let me know what you think of that roadbed.  I'd prefer the Gilbert roadbed, but I need a good amount and it's not cheap.

Been MIA due to work and playing with the new toy.  This is the second 2018 5.0 I've had.  Traded #1 in since I just wasn't liking Shadow Black.

Mornin' Fellas

Well got a text from the contractor yesterday. Back porch gutter and downspot are reattached, new railings are installed, section of rotted wood replaced (only on piece needed to be replaced - was not rotten, just split due to excessive drying due to not being maintained). Got text from renter that her uncle was by to put first coat of paint on yesterday and will be back today to finish painting (front porch and back porch)... after that will have my BiL go to the house for 'inspection', then it is writting checks and getting the house on the market! This has been a long, long, long time coming.

Fife - have fun on 'vacation'. Can't wait to see the pics. Smile

York is out for October... and may be out for April depending on some other stuff I am not at liberty to discuss at the moment.

SJ - this site is rapidly becoming an afterthought. The security issue is a big concern and I can't believe they won't address it. Sad

Can't remember what else I was going to say...

Morning.  Slept till 8.  First night I have gotten over 5 hours sleep this week.  Been too busy.

Got deer feeders going and all ready for deer season [gun].  Cameras out and working.

Fifey, northern Outer Banks should be OK.  Ocracoke up didn't get it too bad.  South of that, got slamed.  Enjoy the trip.

Red, pretty red car.

Have a good one.

End of month, so this should be a busy day.  Up to 185 scans for the month so I might break 200.

Had dinner with Mom as Dad is still fighting the insurance battle in NC, so far, the roof will be totally replaced with shingles.  Just waiting for the flood insurance stuff to come around.

Slept good last night, Smurf the cat kept me company.  The skies opened up about 3ish and continued up to about the time I left about 0750 and drizzled all the way to work in South Jersey.  I did do some laundry, I need to get some more pods as the kiddos used what I had left.  I use the no dyes/smells stuff, I hate the scents they put in them.....yuk.

So the weather is supposed to be great this weekend, I have house work to do and laundry, naturally.  Sunday I'll get out for sure.

Probably run up in the attic for some more train hunting and running.  Also need to get to Home Depot for a shelf to elevate my new TV off the chest of drawers and free up that space, I have the brackets here, left over from when we modded the back room.

Fife - Enjoy the trip ! LionRoar

Good Luck on the House!!

Check back when possible

Good evening all,

Quiet day at work.  Good weather for walk.  No soccer for first time in a while when I got home from work.  Blue Bloods was good tonight.  Wrapped up a lot of story lines from last year.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Sorry to report that my brother, whom I have been posting about with cancer for the last year passed away peacefully on Monday night.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He co-founded the Portsmouth Anglers Club in Virginia, was a charter boat captain and fishing guide in the Chesapeake Bay area.  I spent many visits with him fishing.  I will miss him sorely.

Hello there,
Spent the last couple of days looking for old survey pins along the east side of my property. Found several.  Spent a couple of hours this morning showing surveyor what we found and using his metal detector found a couple more. Going to settle a 25 year disagreement with one neighbor.

Went to the drags this PM. Grandson beat his season long nemesis by cutting a .002 light and held on for the win. 1st in the regular class and 3rd in his bump up class. Haven't looked at the points lately but I think he should end up 2nd in both classes for his final year in mini's.

Kyle

Last evening we went to my class's 45 year reunion, 1st one since the 25th. Walked into the room and wondered, who are all these old people.  Enjoyed  shaking hands, discussing life and reminiscing.

Mrs is recilnerizing in front of the PSU game. Last time I looked they were up 13-7. Don't really give a @#$% about them since thew threw Jopa under the bus.

Off to bed soon.

Prayers for those in need

Ray, sorry about your brother!! Angel

Yep been crazy last two days around here. My friend Gene from north TX (Denton) showed up Friday afternoon and we shot the BS and drank some beers. Then Saturday he went up to see some cousins in West Chicago, My boy Russ dropped off his boat in the morning and headed south to see his wife's grandfather in central IL.   I worked in the yard most of the day and put the boat in the shed for the winter. . Then later Saturday Gene and Russ both showed back up. Russ covered the boat up then we got dinner from town and the grand daughter and her friend tried to wear out the Gator running it all over in the woods well into the dark. We had a bonfire and more beers. Gene left this morning around noon after I made brunch and now the world has slowed back down to normal speed.

I think the girls may of had tooo much fun, Just noticed this morning that the front of the Gator is smashed in pretty good!!

I called my son and told him to ask Maydson if she had something to fess up to. She did right away and told him it was a tree in the dark. I tied the Gator to a hickory tree with a chain and pulled it back into shape with the JD 3203. The brush guard looks almost like new. The grill I can fix with some plastic epoxy and the label is $5.60 + shipping and it will be good to go. They said they knew they hit the tree in the dark but did not know they smashed the front of the Gator.... LOL Girl drivers!!!! The funny part is Maydson was bragging that she would not,,, wreck the Gator like her sister Alyssa did the first time she drove it.

Evening all!

Back from the state fair. Got there at 10:30 and home at 7:30. Loaded up on corn dogs, kettle korn, tamales, fried pickles, beer, beef jerkey, sodas, water, corn dog ale (yep - with mustard on the rim), waffle fries, nachos, and the daughters BF had a slider with a fried mac&cheese/hamburger patty. Burp!

Saw dog, cat, bird, etc., shows, the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps (as always most excellent), toured a tiny house exhibit, walked the midway, TX Parks & Wildlife exhibit (very good, entire building, and got an answer about an obscure - to me - fishing regulation), music perfs, Texas Food & Fiber (ag exhibits) building, the big car shows (lotsa trucks), TX technology pioneers exhibit, etc....

Banks - for some reason your photos are not showing. Just a circle with a gray bar in it.

Kev - good news about the gator! Sounds like the kids had great fun as did you with the family & friends!
