Sunny and chilly. Pretty day. Prayers for those in the path of Irma.
Contractor was told plumbers were hooking up plumbing yesterday afternoon. Never showed. Washer and dryer in place. Maybe they got deported.
Not much on agenda. Grass has really slowed in growth.
Kev, that patch and plug is the way to go.
Hope all have a good one.

Morning all!A beautiful sunny day. Looks like a slow crawl back to low 90's next week. Indian summer? Naw - not here...but SJ would appreciate it!RT - stay safe, glad it appears the storm will steer west of you.Chief - why do you need plumbing in the new train room?Banks - tough times but glad you have your mother someplace that can give you some peace of mind for her care.
Kev - good info on that patch! Have lost several tires due to sidewall punctures.
Regards, Roy

So spelling isn't my strong point. I still like to eat scrapple. Especially my father in laws recipe.

Recipe? I thought it was pig roadkill...
So it only took you 9 days to discover some one made a spelling mistake. So what's the big deal I see a lot in here. This is not a grammer correct forum, or a lot of us would be in trouble
And before you try a crack on me let me let you know I grew up in the Lancaster, PA area. So I knew of his mistake right off but let it be as stated this isn't a grammer correct forum.

Good evening all,
Grandson's team tied 3-3 and he played really really well. Granddaughter's team lost 5-2, but her throw-ins were excellent. Went to a train show and took wife to a restored structure she wanted to see. Had a nice meal at Culver's and went to Mass at Columbus. All in all, it was a good day. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Morning all. Watching Erma as it could effect us. Possible power outage, Possible up to 5" of rain, and possible winds of 40 - 50 MPH with gust even higher. Personally feel all will be fine. Wife well thats another case. lol.
Hope all have a good Sunday. Talk to you all later.
Morning all.
Watching CNN and sipping on my coffee. It's starting to look really nasty in Florida now. I still can't believe some people didn't get the message. It's only going to get worse.... Prayers.
Getting ready for NFL Sunday. The chili will be simmering shortly. Mmmm....
RT- It looks like the tropical storm warning has been extended right up the East coast. Be safe.
Chief- I missed your post way back. Yeah I live a little north of Yankee country, so I'm afraid to ask where that puts me in the north vs south banter!! It's all good though.
Rob
Morning. Sunny and chilly.
Prayers for the ones in Irma's path. Most here remember Dennis Weimer. He lives in the Albany GA area. Going to run right over him. He has said he tried to long on sometime back. Couldn't get in. OH WELL.
Roy, Yankees are jealous that us Southerners have indoor plumbing. Guess we will have to SELL that up North.
Hope all have a safe and happy week ahead.
Tomorrow is 9-11.
Later
LOL...Da Chief thinks indoor plumbing is something new. Should we tell him?
Wife and I spent the day cleaning windows. Had not been done in a while. They look much better now. Weather very pleasant. I hope everyone has a good day.
Hello there,
prayers for those in the path of Irma.
back from the hillclimb. Took clean clothes to granny now waiting on pizza &wings to go.
Son was the usual middle of the pack. His is one of the fastest machines in his class but he needs to ride more to keep in shape.
Grandson got 2nd and 1st yesterday. 2nd only because I staged him too deep resulting in a red light.
Roy scrapple is the roadkill pig broth mixed with corn meal and buckwheat flour with lots of pepper and a bit of salt.
Son's 97 Dodge turbo diesel is now sporting a rust free 02 cab and bed from da chiefs area. Been two year's in the making. While the cab was off the engine got a valve job, new rings and bearings. That was followed up by a new clutch. The front end got a good going over with several suspension parts replaced. He is proud as a peacock.
Back to the ss fund tomorrow. Best get to sleep.
Prayers for those in need
Evening all!
Frustrating couple of days. Son's 2012 Jeep Wrangler has had this mysterious starter problem for over 2 years. Won't start with a jump. Battery not the problem. Been in the dealer several times for this. No clear solution. The "magic" ignition key was deemed the problem a couple of weeks ago and replaced ($500). Then yesterday and today it randomly won't start again. Had AAA tow it once again to the dealer. Argh! In today's high tech world the ignition key "signals" the car that it is a legitimate key and then when switched to "ignition" position the ECM then sends the voltage to the starter solenoid. Have always been able to hear the solenoid "hit", but starter sometimes will not spin. All bolts and connections tight. Yes we know the solenoid also connects the battery to the starter motor (maybe that is where the problem is). So much for "technology" being applied to what used to be a simple process to start a car.Located a remanufactured starter at AutoZone but for the life of me I could not get the secret lock on the ignition voltage connector to release the connector off the solenoid. Otherwise it was only 3 bolts to (2 hold the starter and 1 for the battery cable connection) drop the stupid thing. So we called AAA wrecker (cannot say enough nice things about AAA service the last few years - which unfortunately we have had to use a lot).Add to this the dealer does not have a wrecker drop off spot for when they are closed, so we had AAA drop it where it blocks the door to their body shop down the street. HA! Then dropped the key in the night box with a note. That'll get their attention!
Ahh Chief - not sure SJ will accept having an outhouse indoors counts as indoor "plumbing"...
Thanks to all for your kind thoughts and prayers for those of us in Florida and all those in the path of Irma.
Mornin' boys. Foggy and 50 here along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Going' fishin' today.
Tired of watching the weather-dogs trying to "be" the news. Glad storm didn't destroy FL. Situation on the Caribbean Islands appears to be ugly.
9/11. Never forget. N-e-v-e-r...
Morning gang!
A beautiful morning here. 55. But high 90's by the weekend.
Remember 9/11...
Prayers for hurricane victims.
Watching the morning news as I wonder how much damage was done, particularly the keys where it was still a cat4/5 storm when it hit. If you look at what the dozens of news/weather dweebs present and continue to present, all that happened was some wind (so they could show they could stand up), high water ( so they could stand in it), and trees blowing over ("OMG, here comes some leaves and a small tree branch 'right at ME' "). Pathetic...
BTW - what day of the week is it?
Roy you are so right about the WC, I guess one of them will get killed before they understand the stupidity.
Train Daddy glad you faired good so far. I'm in S.C. and we are suppose to only get like 30 40 MPH winds and gust up to 60 MPH so nothing like what you have had to deal with. I have been thru a few big Hurricanes my self. Take care and may prayers be sent for all of you down there.
Good morning.
55 here heading to mid 70s, The leaves are really starting to turn. Won't be long and it will be sweep and burn season.
Same kind of clear cool 9/11 day it was 16 years ago.
Roy, I will never have another Chrysler product again. There service sucks. The daughter's MIL has a new jeep that shuts off at stop signs and stuff to save gas. When she pulls into a driveway and it shuts off it won't start back up. It is 3 months old. I told her to read the manual.
Neighbor Brain has a RAM 3500 that ate the right front tire off in 20K, Took it to three dealers to find one that could even look at it because it is so big they did not have a rack to pick it up and they said nothing was wrong. He replaced the tire and it has 5K on it and has real bad wear already. Get Out of Dodge!
Now the hard part for all those who were in the hurricane paths. The clean up! And Jose is on the move.
Remember the Veterans. Past, present and future.

Cloudy good morning. Not suppsoe to get a lot of rain here. Concerned for the mountains. They can flood if it rains a lot. All runs down to the valleys.

Prayers for those in the hurricane path and where it has been. Also those from Harvey's destruction.
Hope RT doesn't get too much rain.
Going to leave now. This software bugging me.
Aloha. Beauty of a day - just like 16 years ago. Praying for those in the hurricane's path. I am puzzling over what might be wrong with that jeep...

lion88roar KRM Brent, After years of felling hundreds of trees, a 50'+ oak will still make me pucker up at break away. No doubt! As soon as it started to break away I stepped back @ 10 feet and watched it with everything that could cross crossed! I was just happy it didn't hit the shed, house, or the kids (who thankfully listened and stayed by the screened porch (and they moved back toward the sunroom when it started to fall - as instructed).I went upstairs to tell TheQ that it was down and this was her response:I know... I heard it. I waited a few seconds to see if you or the kids called for me. When that didn't happen, I waited a few minutes to go look to see if you were under it.
