rt - Only the best wishes for you on your surgery.
Well, looks like a cousin isn't taking the layout after all. Wifey asked what I was gonna do now. Reduce everything down to benchwork and take with me.
Hey, wood ain't cheap these days...
Hello there,
Thanks for the Birthday wishes.
Prayers for RT and all those in need
Banks, Proud member of the OTTS TCA 12-67310
Good Morning!
Hope the surgery goes well RT !!!
Belated Happy Birthday, Banks.
Been putzing around in the train room, in between time spent getting vehicles sorted out. We now have 5 sitting around here! Got our older 2002 Buick up for sale, and have an interested person on that. The plan is to end up with 4, Chris has 2, a 2007 FJ Cruiser, and 2007 Mini Cooper. Kay has 2013 Explorer, and I have the 87 El Camino.
Going to go to 50 year High School this coming weekend. The organizers have a fantastic web site supporting the event. What has been disturbing is at least a couple times a week posts are made regarding Memorial messages for those that have passed on. Can't believe how many classmates did NOT return from Viet Nam!! Sometimes makes you feel guilty that you did return. But, looking forward to the event, looks like the attendee list is going to have A LOT of cotton top ladies!
Prayers for all those in need, and stay healthy and be safe!
Don
Good morning all !
RT, Best of luck with the surgery, hopefully they can make use of an alternative to open heart.
Kev, Like I keep reminding the BetterHalf about the heart meds, incremental changes, it is a marathon not a sprint.
Don, We went to our 50th last Sept. Our biggest surprise was that our class sponsor was still around and even looked better than most of our classmates. We only went to the "Meet & Greet" on the first night as we were going too my sister's surprise 80th B'day party on the secod night. The reunion was having a dinner dance that night so we gave our tickets to a friend and classmate, who otherwise couldn't afford to go.
Seems I have missed a few B'Days of late, my apologies. y'all !
Gotta run , time for my CHF group meeting.
Later !
Remember the Veterans. Past, present and future.

Good morning everyone,
Yesterday, I was seen in the Podiatry (foot) Clinic here at the Home. I was told that I might have a partial tear/microtears of the achilles tendon in my right ankle. X-rays will be done tomorrow morning, with a follow up visit with the doctor thursday morning. I told the doctor that back in November of 2000 that I had a fractured ankle and a broken leg when I was hit by a car. Age, arthritis in the ankle, recent trauma to the anke - such as sports injuries can be contributing factors to tendon problems.
Prayers for those in need and for those who are ill.
G BEAR
God Bless
Hello all
Back on the mountain for a few days. Got another pretty good rain yesterday. I asked Gene if he had scheduled to wash the buses:)
More progress on the motorhome. The sleeping area and a/c unit installation is almost done. I have to make a couple modifications and then put the water tank under the bed. We won't be using it, but that's where it goes.
I improved some the the wiring in the engine compartment of the Datsun. It will get a new alternator and battery this Friday.
Got the kitchen table moved into the bus and Clawde.

Evening all!
Not much to say. Thanks for the kind thoughts. Wrote some stuff up for my friends brother to use at the memorial service.
RT - prayers continue
Kev - nice job and glad you are feeling better.
Kev and G Bear - My doc told me a few years back when I messed up a tendon in my right arm. There is good news and bad news. The good news is it will heal. The bad news is it will take 2 to 10 years. Luckily it only took 2.
Don - good to have the regular reports.
Fifer - That lumber would be worth more than most of my furniture.
Regards, Roy
Good evening all,
Great weather today. Good day at work. Met new director. He may last a year at most. Went to watch "my" soccer girls lose to a powerhouse team. Team played well, other team too big, too fast, too skilled. Younger daughter finally heard from priest about starting annulment process. Sometimes you just have to go medieval on people to get their attention. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
RT, you are always in my prayers.
Busy day. Started early with this award ceremony. Future Daughter-in-law. Son and girls are there with me.

Nice Chief.
Roy kind of the same here. When I did my back Doc said min of 6 weeks to feel better and 6 months to be back to the same. I am sure not 30 anymore.
Slept kind of crapy last night in the spare room. Back cracker at 12:30 today.
Yesterday Sandra and I took a long ride and tried to look at some side x sides. The Polairs are as big as her car and there were none at the John Deere dealer because that had not got them back from The Sandwich Fair where they had them last weekend. So we just drove all over for nothing. But it was a nice day for a ride in the country.
KRM - I like the Kawasaki Mule.
Good Day from beautiful mid 80’sF and sunny Southern Ohio,
Been really busy at work as I am still working through the qualification / certification process. I can’t really remember if I said, but I’m being trained for two different supervisor jobs and you have to qualify as an operator then the additional tasks for a supervisor, so that is why I’ve got six quals to complete. All very formal, structured and documented but that is how the nuclear work environment operates.
Sunday at one of the parishes I serve we had a 911 Remembrance / First Responder recognition prayer service. It was a good service.
Kev – At work we have a lot of the Kubota diesel 4x4s. I don’t have any experience to compare them to but when the e brake is engaged it pokes you in the leg getting in and out of the driver’s side, and if you place your hand on the front edge of the seat to steady yourself getting over the e brake handle, the seat flips forward to the open position.
RT – Prayers for you and your caregivers
May God bless
Jim
fifedog KRM - I like the Kawasaki Mule.
Thanks Fife, and Jim, I want to look at them all. But I need something small. I will be replacing the Compact Gator that was in the picture in front of the brush pile. It is 11 years old and has 1,900+ hours on it. Wife wants to keep it for her. The draw back with it is top speed is only 15MPH I would like to get something that does at least 30MPH but I love the compact size for our 8 acres, you don't need anything biger here. Since they first hit the market they just seem to get bigger and bigger. Sandra's Pontiac Torrent is smaller than some of them.
We have lots of time because I won't buy till the Silverado is paid off next year.
Hello There,
Quick check in.
I know nothing about side by sides
For you prewar guys. Is this a good deal?

Any thing from RT today?
Best move on.
Prayers for those in need.
Banks, The shipping is nuts, also I won't buy anything from Florida anymore because I have been burnt twice by stuff from there and rust but that set does look good from the pictures. Must be the saltwater and summer humidity. My 259 Hates all of my switches so it cant' be run on my layout.
I picked up a Mule this spring. So far I really like it.
Charlie a.k.a. MichiganRailRoad714 (Charter Member TTC)
MichRR714 I picked up a Mule this spring. So far I really like it.
Case in point Charlie, like I said, bigger than my wife's car.
Looked around and the closest Muel dealer is 30+ miles away.
Looking at Yamaha to as well as kubota.
Kind of like this. Yeah,, I do have a thing for Green.

Evening all,
Quick check in. Busy day today. Not much to add. Looking forward to it cooling down this fall. Last few days have been pretty warm.
Prayersvfor RT.
Well good morning everyone. Gonna be hot today.
Morning. Highs in the 80's for a change. Out to paint 4 sheets of plywood for stands. Then Dr. and economic development director all afternoon. Tomorrow Edgecombe and work on stands.
Special prayers for our buddy RT.
Don't have time to read back. Kev, you gotten OK?
Hope all others are OK and have a great day.
Mornin FellasLearned last night that I am in no way shape or form 'fit'. TheQ bought a BowFlex Max Trainer M5 over Labor Day Weekend. I got it setup last Thursday when it arrived. She's been on it everyday since Saturday and she can do the full 15 minute workout... me 2 - 3 minutes and I'm done. It uses your weight and resistence, so I have to work my way up, but holy moly it is tough! I feel every muscle today! LOLPrayers for your surgery RTKev - There are so many of those ATVs it is like shoping for a new truck when you're looking to buy one! Christina keeps asking for a golf cart because the family in AL have them and she likes riding in them... we have just under 1.5 acres so there is no sense...Fife - yep wood ain't cheep these days. Why I have a hard time getting rid of any scraps... and now that I am thinking about downsizing the layout, not sure where I will go with what I have...

Mornin' boys. Sunny & pleasant in the Mid-Atlantic region. Slowly getting fifedom ready for evacuation. Anybody here have dealings with PODS? Lots of trash to the curb this morning.
Started to clear the layout yesterday. Filled a box for my nephew with buildings and trees. His parents are gung-ho about their Christmas garden I built him, and BIL has plans for expansion in the future.
88 - Putting that contraption together without any bone pertrusions should be considered a success in my books.
Roy - Dem Cowboys got themselve a QB.
Chief - What are you doing with that plywood later on...?
Good morning, Slept well and that is good,
Chief, I am getting better every day now, thanks. Sure been a fight.
Brent, when I got the Gator 11 years ago side x sides were few and far between. Your right, seems everybody makes them now.
Cut all the grass but around the house yesterday so today is relax.
Prayers for RT.
Quiet day at work both days. Better walking weather today. Did nothing Wednesday night and went to see "Sully" tonight. Good movie. I hope everyone has a good day.
Good Morning from beautiful cool 60F Southern Ohio
TGIF! Thinking of you LAZ
Off today. Going to change some “O” rings in the Odyssey van today to see if it corrects a leak in the power steering, and going down to meet the new principal at the kids school, then grass cutting.
The junior high boys won their football game last evening 20 - 8. It was a joy to watch and coach because both offense and defense clicked. As coaches we were really pleased. We were worried because we lost 2 starters our center with a broken arm, and our d & o tackle, who is our go to lineman. This loss had us dressing 13 players. I was very proud at how the boys played. We are now 2 and 2 for the season.
We are planning to go to Cincinnati this Sunday after Mass and meet up with our daughter who is in from LA for Oktoberfest.
Kev - I bet it felt good to sleep well.
Brent - Stick with it you may have more resistance to work than Q
Dennis - I’m still trying to get used to the Chrome book. Spending so much time at work on PC is not making it any easier.
Need to get going.

Brent,
The other fathers probably aren't that brave. Anyway you could get TheQ involved with it too?
Jim,
Do you have any experience with Gilbert's 785 coal loader? Just got one in for restoration.
Been busy with work. I did make progress on the 736 that I've been working on, and I'm hoping to get that done this weekend.
No word on RT, another patient answered the phone. So I no longer know where or how he is.
