Good morning, Like Doug said, doing better here guys, bright sun but still only 49 now and 54 for a high but with the sun that should help.

Yard is a swamp so I can't cut grass and it won't warm up till Thursday so I don't know what I will do today. Maybe tackle that outside faucet. I don't like the one I got and at 12" will put it almost into the floor joist so I may get a 10" from Menards and pick up the PVC glue I need at the same time.

Like I said had some train time last night with the grand-kids. The good part was,,,No pile-ups. Wink

Aloha. Cool today but Sunny for the first time in a week! Rained all weekend. Worked church services; puttered around the basement. Saw 'Evita' last night at a local theatre - it's sure a lot of singing... DonB, be a docent! You would be great!

Good evening all,

On the balance, it was a good day.  Indycar took a black eye with Boston race being cancelled.   Too much politics.  Need to race on established tracks.   Long Beach is the only street race that has been a consistent success.  St. Petersburg might develop into one.  Got some shopping done for kitchen remodel.   Lots of rain again.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Hello there, missed my TGIF this week.

Still in the running on the big project but not looking good.

First drag of the season Saturday. Grandson took 1st on his old machine  (guess all the kids gained weight ) He managed 3rd on the new machine. We got some tuning to do. (It's a stock class. Only allowed to change tires and gearing ) Brady was doing well until the  skies opened during the main race and they ended up calling it.

The sky was still open this am so between that and mom's unpredictable issues I stayed home from the hill climb. Slept most of the day  (felt good )I did ride up and help put stuff away. The weather slowed the hill but it was rideable

Fife, if your neighbor still has the tiller for sale PM me his number. I may make him an offer.

Best get to sleep.

Prayers for those in need

Evening all from wet Southern Ohio,

Been running since 0800 this morning. I was up Buckeye's way in Sunbury this afternoon. Ready to relax then off to bed.

Buckeye-Have you been in Union Terminal before? We love going down there. When youngest daughter lived in Cincy we had season passes and went a lot.

Good night and may God bless

Done with the brake job on Katie's car.

All new OEM parts for the front. 2 rotors and pads. 20 minutes after I got done the some-day-maybe SIL shows up.  Go figure.

Well we had some good train time in the basement with the kids. They left and now strong thunderstorms.

Had to smile, after I took the car for a test drive, she (the daughter) asked does it still shake Dad? I just said Oh ye of little faith, did I not say I was going to fix it??????  When she got home she e-mailed me that they were great.

Broke down and had a few beers with SDM in the train room with the kids. Back to one-a-day tomorrow. Gave Blood Thursday and Dr. blood test in 13 days. Wink

Evening all. been interesting night last night and this am to say the least. Check tracking number of a lot of trains I won with both prewar Lionel and AF and even has two Ives gondola's in it. well it said delievery attempted no secure place to leave left note ( Perkinston, MS. ) Well I live about 600 miles from there in South Carolina, So emailed Seller first response they will try to re deliever monday or you can take note to post office and get it. My reply back to her was Hello I'm in South Carolina you sent my stuff to wrong address. Well that got her attention and she sent me a new tracking number seems she put the wrong one down at first, well that tracking number was for Willow Springs, N.C. about 4 hours from here so she sends another one where it's sitting in Bell Garden, CA. she claimed she wasn't awake yet when sent last one My package will be here Thursday. We will see. Some how I know the chief is mixed up in this. Whistling

Other than that today has been fine. Went to cut grass couldn't get mower to run for more than a minute before it would die like it wasn't getting gas from the tank for some reason as if I primed it, it would run then die less than a minute later. So ordered a new one from H/D I'll pick it up next thursday when I'm in Aiken, S.C. ( the 12th)

So had a great dinner here at home baked chicken, stuffing, scallop potatoes, Gravy, French style green beans and lemon pie for desert.

Don Baker and I bumped into each other at the TTOS meet today.  He was leaving as I was arriving.  Dull meet but I enjoyed visiting some  friends.  One was supposed to stop by my house on the way home and check my bad order turn signals but forgot. So now I'm on my way to see my wife.

later,

Ray

Good Sunday Afternoon!! WOW!! Page 1? Been a while since I've done that!!!

Spent the day near the Shore - Manasquan, NJ - for a car and craft show.  Met some nice people, was a bit breezy but I found a place without too much breeze and got some sun.

Took a slight detour to my old stomping grounds - read that as street racing grounds - to Asbury Park.  Must be at least 30 years since the car and I were there together.  Much has changed...buildings gone, arcades gone, streets now 2 way instead of one way...Stone Pony and the Wonder Bar still exist.  I have to wonder, how much some "progress" occurs before you loose the soul of a town.  Asbury is not the same, and that is a shame.  Definitely not the Asbury Park Bruce Springsteen sang about...

My Mom is off her injected pain meds and resting after her shoulder surgury.

Prayers for John's Mom and Char...Chief - get better soon

Have 2 interviews next week.  Things are looking up and we will see, also have 2 more "casual" interviews, just have to show up with a resume and interview then.  The house thing is not good, the Princess is coming, still not sure when, and all the houses we have looked at are either too expensive or under contract.  Just hope I have a window of 30 to close on an appropriate abode....garage and basement are a must !!!LMAO!!

Raining here now about 50, laundry and clean up in the house today.

Thanks SJ.  Just getting to computer.

Rainy this morning.  65 degrees.  Actually being lazy as Dr. ordered.  Not so yesterday.  Oh well.

Was awaken at 6:30 with a call.  Seems some manand woman living on North Main Street are seperated.  She lives there off and on.  Came home this AM early with boy friend.  Argument between hubby and BF follow [you think].  BF shoots hubby.  Hubby dies at hospital.  Under investiagation.  Maybe she planned it that way???

Have a good one.  [will go read old Pot to catch up]

Good Morning!  (I like the heading for this thread! That's cool)

Getting bored with the Dr's layout, got 10 of the switches modified with Non-Derail, only about 20 to go.  Sometimes he can really frustrate me, he will ask how does he prevent a derailment if he has a switch set wrong, (entering the throat of the switch).  He didn't appreciate my reply that he had to take responsibility for setting the direction of a train. Hmm  I think I finally got through to him how with Command Control you alter the "engine", and in on conventional you alter the "track power".  (Patience, Patience, Patience)

Had a fun and interesting day yesterday.  Went to the annual "Fullerton Railroad Days" at the Fullerton train depot. Picked up some hat pins, a book, and talked to a some people.  One local park in Irvine has a small 24" propane powered train that they were looking for Part Time Engineers to hire.  Was kinda of tempting, but thought a little and quickly forgot about it.  It essentially was the same as "Little Toot" we had at Knotts.  But dont like working with the propane.  Then a little later stopped by the both for "Rail Giants of LA Fairgrounds".  This is where the 4014 UP Big Boy was at for so many years, and is NOW being restored in Colorado by UP.  Anyway, just talking to them, they asked me if I would consider being a "Docent" at the Museum?  That seemed interesting and fun.  Then a little tease, they told me that as part of the arrangement that was made to left UP have the 4014 back.  That the first excursion that will be done with 4014, is a two day trip from LA to Sacramento, turn around and back to LA.  All the proceeds from that excursion will be turned over to the museum.  So I was thinking that that would improve chances of getting a ticket on that excursion, probably in 2019.  (600 passenger train).  Then they told me that there HAD to be a Docent in every car for the trip.  Hmmmm, sounds interesting!!!

Going to go to a local train meet this morning.  A guy is suppose bring a two track Signal Bridge for me, ($20).  Then home to watch Talledega.  So busy day.

Hope everyone has a great day, Be Safe and Stay Healthy!
