Kevin,  It was intended to be funny!

Buckeye,  Bummer about York.  Hopefully I will see you at York in the Spring.

I thought it was funny, too.

I don't get the problem of posting a video of Detroit 3 Railers, so here it is, except something is not letting a video from YouTube to be posted. I would expect it is the super duper forum software. Whistling  Here is the url:  https://youtu.be/7zOjdn-o_eA  Neat video! Really like those long passenger trains.

Aloha. Sunny and colder. Class tonight so it'll be a late trip home on the train. Happy birthday Ray! The Pepsi bottle made me laugh!  Banks, everything is better with steam. That looks like a nice ride. The Illinois Railway Museum is just running their North Shore train this time of year.

Hello there,

Had a good time at the show on Sunday. I ran in to one of the dealers I know later. He said attendance was way off. I'm not sure why because they even advertised on TV. One thing I wonder about is the show runs from 9 to 2. Thats good for dealers and people into trains but it ends to early for those who go to church eat lunch and look for something to do. I bought an old Tyco set for less than I've seen the engine (what I really wanted) go for. The boxes are toast but the cars are pretty good.

The viewing went as expected yesterday. Today will be the hard part..........Thans for your support.

Spotted this in Hollidaysburg yesterday.........

Everett

It seems the Everett Railroaid bought it to run excursions. They have been running Fall Foilage and Christmas trains for several years. It is a local shortline running on an abandoned PRR/Conral branch that servers Appleton Papers and a couple local feed mills. There was an article in MRR about them a few years ago.

Mrs is awake now. better start the day

Prayers for those in need

The video is on a well known O ga forum. Any one can go there and see it.

It is also on the club webpage that is also open to all. For some reason this forum seems to frown on club posting, even though we sell nothing. Also they do not allow the mention of other forums by name so I have no other way to tell the guys when the video has been posted.

RT, I know, My point is, I just have not seen anything like that SINCE THE 80s. Last time it was in a contract for Cat was in the late 70s. Most places gave it up back then so anyone who get them today should thank the higher one for it. I am on SS and not happy either but don't figure it is coming.  As for the pop bottle remark in that other post,,,,,,,,,,,,,,do the math, just another personal attack that "they" let him get away with. BTW, go to another forum to see the video????????????

JMHO.

Leaves are all over the place again. Will have to start the sweep and burn process over again in the morning. Have a good night!

V8 Dennis, I hope your Honda will be OK.  It's tough when you've already put a lot into it.  My old 87 Buick has reached the point of no return on spending more money but it still runs good.

Tomorrow is my birthday but my oldest son wants to take me out to lunch today since he has the holiday off.

later,

Ray

Aloha. Looks like a nice day. Spent the weekend with my brothers and their families exploring some sights in southern Wisconsin. Highlight for me was seeing a WSR train crawl down some rural tracks led by a GP unit colored for the BN. Tried to go sailing yesterday but it was too blustery for me. Not sure how I would do in the dinghy in a strong steady breeze of 15 knts right into the marina and puffs f up to 25 knts. My condolences to you and your missus, Banks. SJ and Charlie, what a great video, as always!

Hello there.

Thanks for the condolences. Viewing Monday and Funeral Mass Tuesday. Today was spend doing stuff that should have been done long ago and Watching Grandaughters soccer game. They lost 4-0 The other team averaged about a head taller. The must be near the upper end of the age group while grandaughters is nearer the bottom.

After Mass in th AM i'm going to the Altoona train show. Probably shoot the breez with several I only see once or twice a year at shows. Then work on a pole light at son's before it's time for him to head to work. That will be followed by taking Granny to a Quarter Century Club meeting of fellow Sylvania Employee's. She retired 1981(i think) with 33 years service. That was broken service a couple times cause she started  there during the war. They found out later they were making fuses for torpedos.

Best try to get to sleep

Prayers for those in need

Banks

Hello There,

TGIF although it is sad day. Mrs sister lost her battle with cancer last evening. The good part is she is now free of pain and learning what heaven is all about. Thanks for all your prayers.

Banks, So sorry for you and yours, Just spent a week with a friend of over 50 years facing the same battle.
We did a trip to his land in Texas and I just got home tonight and saw this, I won’t go past that. I only hope he has a better outcome than your SIL.
God Bless!

Evening all bring you up to date with some of the happening around here. I found just down the road from the house ( about 2 miles) a meat market well the only cattle I see around here look to be the Black Angus type so I'm thinking thats what they sell. So made Spaghetti sauce the other night with fresh ground beef and a little fresh ground sausage from there and boy is it good Plan to have a roast from there tomorrow night.

I'm going threw my stuff and thining it out some as we did move to a place that is smaller and I'm not for putting my trains in a non-heated/ac building that I can even feel moisture in so will have to work on that in the future but for now thining some of the unneeded trains that don't really peak my intrest. ( prewar I have some but not my main intrest) etc anyway just relaxing now for the night we finally got rid of Dish and got local cable in which we didn't know was avaible until we had gotten dish. Cost to get rid of but worth it in long run as dish was going to cost us more for what we are getting now and they didn't carry some of the channels we wanted.

Hope all doing better prayers for all in need

Good morning all !

Banks, Condolences on your loss. May the fond memories quickly replace the sadness and heartache. Angel

Good run at the museum yesterday, no gremlins nor derailments. Thumbs Up

Still working on the halloween garage layout. Seems like it takes a little longer every year, guess that is normal when you enter the "geezer" category. Oh well, work a little rest a little. It will get done in plenty of time.

Family coming in wednesday to visit for a few days, can't believe how much the boys have grown in such a short time. The oldest just a little over 16 and is well over 6' tall. But the best part he is already being courted by a major SEC school for his academics, fortunately it is known more for academics than for athletics. Laugh

Finally ordered some tickets to see "Phantom of the Opera", we haven't seen a stage play in a very very long time. Hopefully I won't fall asleep after intermission. Smile, Wink & Grin

Well need to get off my duff and try to get some things done.

Later all.
