Good to hear from You Brent on the PM, for you and the family. Glad the little one is doing better!! Don't worry, some work will come. I just know it.
Hey, a wonderful day on the North Bluff again. Perfect weather as I am sure Doug is having to. Cleared all of the overgroth on the trails in the woods and I am sad looking at all of the Ash trees I know will die in the next few years, Have a nice weekend. Fife, be good tonight and have fun and be safe.

Just a reminder that if the high point of your day is coming to this forum and pressing a button or two to provoke a reaction ... Well ... There are many other places on the web for you to get your jollies, not here. Just saying.

Morning,
Slept late, funny how a cat can make you sleep longer.
Looks like rain but nothing called for. First cloudy day in over a week.
Daughter SIL and kids are coming out later.
When the SIL shows up my plan is to split those too big to lift stumps we have.
Bob, My grandpa used to say the biggest, smartest, and best fish are the ones that swim past the bait. I think he had something there.
You guys enjoy your day.

WOW!!!! Must'a missed something. I didn't see any thing to get excited over.
It was a long week. ....nuf said. Spent Friday evening at bonfire /wiener roast at church. Had a live band too . good time had by all .
Yesterday was last dirt drag. Grandson didn't do well but still 1st in points for the year. Friend also went out early last night. I think his point lead should have held up as well. Not sure on that.
Fife. ..congas. to step son. What's the latest on the move?
Corn is ready to pick but son has equipment repairing to do before he can start .
Weather is getting cool have. Want to clean the boiler before starting it for the year.
Also have hot tub to be put back together. Found the seal in the pump leaking profusely so i took it apart the other night. I keep a new seal on hand because they seem to last only a couple years.
Fixing to get a nap before going to grandson's 10th birthday party.
Prayers for those in need

What a great weekend!! Spent the entire weekend in the hospital. Went in at midnight on Thursday and just returned home after laser surgery for a kidney stone. Didn't get the boat out, either. Met at least 25 medical professionals. I did learn some of the finer points of urology. For those in Roseyville that don't get it:

Good evening all,
Noticed I had not posted the last 2 days. Work was busy but good Friday. Both the high school teams lost Saturday and so did grandson's team. I was not able to go to any as wife wanted me to go to a program on post card collecting. Long story short, I was able to sell an album that had been in the family for a while. Nothing in it had any meaning to me and it would have been one more thing for the kids to pitch or try to sell. Mowed for the first time in 3 weeks and most of the time I was mowing air. Did some necessary weed eating. Wife is starting to feel better finally. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Buckeye hope your feeling better soon. That's no way to spend the weekend.
Good evening,
Great day with the grand-kids, Lots of Gator rides and Train time. Also got those huge oak stumps split and stacked. Wood shed is stuffed full. Wife is going to play hooky tomorrow and stay home with the grand-daughter and me. Hope your day was as good. Buckeye, get on the mend, I never had kidney stones but my brother did. No fun at all. His were before the laser surgery so he had to just pass them.. Ouch!!
Banks, The corn is flying out of the fields here now. Just not a lot of it in those fields that were under water so long. The little guy is a good train engineer for 27 months old and not bad with a log splitter either.
The combines are eating the corn in this neck of the woods too. Looks like most of it is in now.
I was able to get out to an antique tractor show yesterday. Was a small one, but laid back and interesting. One unique tractor was a 1923 Eagle. Was a two cylinder 40 hp tractor. They gave a plowing demonstration with it.
Tonight, I built a fine in the fire pot on my deck and watched the lunar eclipse. Shot some pictures of it too.
All for now.
Aloha. Boy, we've had a run of nice temps and sunshine. Not today though - grey-ish and may be the last of the warm-ish days left in the year. John, your story about Kali's back-seat driving reminded me of my daugther at that age saying 'Fries! Fries!' from the back-seat every time we passed a McDonalds. Talk about successful marketing! 8ntruck, I've been fortunate to see a working Eagle from that era at a local meet too. Amazing what it could do with such a small engine. Glad you're OK, Buckeye! RIP to the Reliant, Rich... Bob and Kev, I was into N scale for a long time. You certainly could fit a nice layout in much smaller space. And these days, there is so much more available in that scale. And for a good price. As others have said, it just got too fiddly for my ten-thumbs.
Doug Murphy 'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...' Henry V.
I still have a lot of HO and some nice Large scale but no place to run them. So they wait in pretty boxes for my kids to fight over. We do have a Lionel Large scale Christmas train that comes out once a year.

Morning. Been real busy. Cloudy. Had 2.25 inches of rain Friday and thru this weekend.
Off to get arm cut on. Hope just a few stitches will do.
Buckeye. Told you that Ohio water was bad for you. Roseyville water will fix you up. Get well.
All have a great week ahead.

Buckeye, hope the kidney stone procedure was successful. I have passed many kidney stones over the years and was hospitalized for a few of them but I have never had laser surgery. I've heard of ultra sound to make little stones out of big ones but have not heard of your procedure. Do they physically remove the stone or just break it up?

Evenin' boys. Partly sunny & 78, and a bit humid, in the Mid-Atlantic region. Spent day with newly retired neighbor, who happened to work for a local defense contractor. He has a sharp mechanical mind, and together we fixed my broken LW transformer, as well as the smoke unit to my 2026. There was hardly anything left of the original elements inside the housing. Happy, happy, happy.
Scored all the parts I needed at the Arbutus show. And also picked up a 2055 (with whistle tender), that needed some elbow grease, for $60. After watching my Ravens lose (what a football game though), spent 2 hours bringing the luster back. Runs pretty good.
Banks - Hope to have something signed and sealed by YORK.
Buckeye - Hope you're feeling better after that ordeal.
Afternoon all hope all doing well this afternoon.
Had a bit of the devil get into me and I swear he made me do it but after some minor repairs ( I hope ) I will have a nice little set. Picked up a prewar 262 with a 262T missing 3 sets of wheels & axles from the tender, probably less than $10 repair may even have some in my parts boxes will see thou. The engine needs a handrail on one side backside of cab, and brackets again easy to get and do as does the rear of the tender thats that for them as long as it works as it is untested but think it should be fine probably a good cleaning in ordered. Also comes with a 902 Gondola appears complete, little nicked up but what you expect. it also comes with two 607's and a 608 passenger car now for these I need one latch coupler and two more sets of wheels and axles but for the price including shipping I'm ahead of the game. From what I have seen them going for lately I couldn't pick the engine alone up for what I got this deal for.
Hope all doinng well now that Buckeye gave us all a scare. Not much else going on here today talk to you all later
Sounds like a good score RT!!!!
Hi there, Long day. Wife and grand-daughter and I spent the day together while our daughter tried to find out what is going on with the grand-son. He has been a sick puppy for the last four days and after the second trip to the doctor and a trip to the hospital for X-rays the word is just a bad case of the croup and some time off. So I guess tomorrow will be picking him up to let everyone else do their things and we will run more trains, do Gator rides in the woods and just lay low.
Have a good one.
Took wife to eye doctor today for a check up. She is doing well with her eyes and she is finally starting to feel better. Most of the final trim on the floor is done and both the doors are in place. Final coat of sealer was put on steps. Maybe will be done with trim work tomorrow and get the furnace/ AC in place this week. Got the latest CTT today. Goood issue. I hope everyone has a good day.
Aloha from a grey-er Chicago. Rain missed us so far, Kev. Sending it on to SJ. SJ, is the Lionel large scale battery-operated or just use G track? Fife, that's great news about the LW and smoke unit. I poked around with a neighbor's new Catalina 14.2 Expo last night. It is just like the 14.2 I sail but much simpler - the boom is stepped right into the deck and the main sail furls around the mast. Not sure how that works. Class for me tonight so it will be a long day. New CTT not yet at my local newsagent.
Doug they are DC from the rails. MPC Lionel made a nice line of G size trains for a short period of time including track and turnouts.
Good morning,
No rain here Doug, yet. Big Wreck on I80 just east of Morris no traffic moving east at all. Had to take back roads to get to Joliet to pick up the little sick guy. Just laying low with him and watching Bubble Guppies
Have a good day
cnw1995 - Looks like a nice trailer-sailer, but I'm kinda yuuuush on the roller main sail mast. I have a roller furling jib/head sail, but wouldn't want something like that on the main stick. All the big yatchets have the newer in-mast sail options, but where's the romance in that...?
Mornin' boys. Soggy & 70 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Parts of the east coast really getting deluged with rain, and Joaqin on the way. Partner texted me last night that batteries were stolen from my marina, so I'll take a ride down there afterwhile. Probably tie on some extra dock lines as well.
Looks like you guys on the east coast are in for a pounding.
Stay high and dry if you can.
Fall is here, sunny and jacket weather.
A whole day between Fife's posts!!!!!
Where is everybody????
Don't know about everybodty else but it's reallyyyyyyyyy dry here.
To late for the crops but still needed.
Look'n forward t YORK!!!!!
Aloha. At least it's sunny today but cool. Class went well. I heard about that wreck, Kev. 2 semis. Ugh. Looks like the East Coast is getting drenched with a tropical storm / minor hurricane added to the mix this weekend. Double-ugh.
SJ, that's neat. I've only seen the large-scale that was battery powered. Fife, I wonder about how those roller-thingies work - I've not found a video that shows it - but it sure looks neat (convenient). I have a hard enough time using the one on the jib when I'm alone in the boat.
cnw1995 - When you are single-handing it, a roller furling jib is a luxury.
Doug the Lionel Large Scale were compatible with LGB. They came with knuckle couplers but included LGB type as well. I bought and used LGB track because it was solid rail. Kalamazoo and Aristocraft were also were making G scale at that time.
