WOW last day of May and it feels like March out there. Tongue Tied Even worse by Doug!

Will find something to do in the train room.

Fife, you can cure that by using Florajen 3 Probiotic. Replaces those bugs that eat everything. Same thing you should take when your on a antibiotic. Keeps the system running.

Morning.  Lazy.  Had to listen to DOT contractor from 2 AM to 3:30 AM in front of my house.  Resurfacing Main Street.  Ran out of asphalt in front of my house.  Took an hour to get trucks back.  Then the big roller packer that vibrated.  It shook house like an earth quake [been in one before].  Only thing, eath quake shake and stops.  This one went for 5 minute intervals. Shook Wifey's stuff off of window ledges.  Will check house for plaster cracks.

Yesterday was a busy one.  Wifey and I judged the 4 H Club District Poultry Demonstrations.  Then got home to attend the largest subdivision's HOA annual cookout [did not eat, just visited].  Then to Niece's backyard to assist her and SIL with extending her patio.  Shoveled out dirt and put in 16" fake stone pavers.  Ate at 9 PM.

Was awaken from reclinerizing by contractor milling down street and drive entrance.  Then the above.

Be nice to hear from Pat.  He's the Shenandoah [God's country] cattle farmer.

Have a great week.

According to my family doctor, it has recently been discovered that Splenda kills off the good bacteria in the stomach, thus creating a warehouse effect for calories inside your belly.

Hello there,

Yesterday was take Mrs &mom to  a greenhouse and a local Mennonite  store.  Then worked on getting a twisted off bolt out of the head on the Gravely so I can run tiller in the garden. Son interrupted that asking me to help repair 2 broken  floor joists in the barn. It wasn't designed to support hay, only chickens. The gravely is tomorrow's project.  Today is oldest grandaughter  birthday party.

Fife. ..I already drink lots of water.  I avoid aspertame as in large quantities it gives me the runs.. Splenda is to only one I've found that doesn't leave terrible after taste or upset tummy.  What's the scoop on it?

Prayers for those in need

Banks any sugar subsistute the body still see's it as sugar so to the body sugar is sugar is sugar any thing diet will read the same as non diet so you may as well drink regular in fact they say your better doing so ( I know I really need to but I have gotten so use to diet Pepsi I don't like the taste of regular coke or pepsi) Alos the crystal lite stuff is diet yes but still will run your blood sugar up ( it did me I thought I was doing a good thing)

If it's Blood Pressure learn to use pepper as your main seasoning instead of salt it works and give a new taste. just not to much also some salt subsitutes do work good I like ms dash I think it's called but then again I never was a big salt user wife is. my PB is normally good.

Just some ideas.

Morning all. Nothing really planned for today. Still working in the train room it's a slow process down there.

Hope all have a good day talk to you all later

Banks with some research it seems the pot is actually only 11 years old as it was started April 15 2004 by chief here is the link to the original post and that coffee pot lasted many years before some cried and had us change it to a monthly thing as it was to long for them also originally we could see who was on the pot by scrolling down to the bottom and more or less have a conversation with them directly like a chat room type thing. That went away first then the monthly came about 2 years later I think. anyway here is the historic link that started it all

Banks you are right, haven't seen Pat here in quite awhile.

As for the 15 year thing I Thought I just copied the heading and changed the invite a tad. It should have said May 2015, then the years. On Monday morning someone can fix it for June.

Aloha. What a weird weather day - it'll rain suddenly, then sun, then rain again, sun, rain, sun... you get the idea. Supposed to somehow drop into the 50s over the weekend. Fortunately, the wedding is actually June 13 - not this weekend - so I have a bit more time to pray for good weather. Smile

Morning All,

Things going good here!  FINALLY, got ALL the painting done.  Finished with the pool heater and filter yesterday, and that was the things I was dreading the most.  But, they look good.

Also managed to get the El Camino to pass the SMOG tests, ended up having to have the carburator rebuilt, but may end up getting better gas mileage, hope so.

My FIL backed into some gates on his driveway, so will need to replace them this next week.  Tough getting old, he really tries hard, but just can't do stuff like he wants to anymore.

Then Chris bought a car yesterday from CarMax.  I think he got a pretty good deal, its a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, 4wd.  Really looks nice, and only 60k on it.  He bought an extended warranty that covers 5yr or 150k.  Normally I dont go for the extended warrantys, but thought this would be an exception.  It includes everything, all electronics, drive train, suspencion and was not very pricey.

Good luck this week-end Doug!!!  Hope everything goes as well for you as Fife's did.  That is awesome that YOU are performing the ceremony.  Now you can additionally hold them responsible directly to you for the vows they make to each other.  Best Wishes for the new couple!

Chief, you were commenting about me not passing the air tests, and wondering what I was eating.  Well, it was the "Golden Coral"  Angel

Going to go and see what I can get into today, wont be anything too big as we are working both Sat & Sun this weekendl

So, you all take care, and Stay Healthy!

Don

80s today, we are expecting rain/storms again before the day is over. It has come to my attention that some are not sure when ice cream season begins. So it starts on Jan 01 and runs through Dec 31. However Banilla is open season all year long. Just enjoy.

Good evening,

Well I got my marching orders from daughter Katie. Lexi goes under the knife at 2:30PM tomorrow so I will pick up Jordan at 3:00 from day care and bring him here for the night. Katie warned me of what she called his sprinkler effect. When he gets mad he will cry till he pucks all over the place like someone turned on a puck sprinkler. Ick!   Oh Joy. Glad Sandra will be here if that goes down. He is one hard headed kid for sure. All should be fun. Wink  What it should be Fife!!!  Yes

Good evening all,

For all the people who have been here awhile, IIABSDISEI!  As AJ would say, "All in all, it was a good day."  The upgrade went well at work and I got a tiny bit of payback for all the years of being corrected by one of the coworkers.   The weather was nice for my noon walk.  We got the car down to the dealership and the yard was mown in time for the weekend.   Doug M, good luck with the wedding activities this weekend.  You can do what I did with both of the girls and ask them before they went down the aisle if they were absolutely sure about what they were doing.  If it were only that easy......   I hope everyone has a good day.

Doug, best wishes on the wedding.  Hope you don't get rained on.

Roy, hope you are safe with all the flooding in Texas.  Crazy weather!  We're still in drought over here.

Yesterday was graduation day for my grandson from local high school.  It was held in local college football stadium.  Got there early but still had to walk about a mile after parking.  Had a nice reception after with all the relatives on both sides of the family.  Ate a lot of crab claws and other seafood.  We all had  good time and grandson made out pretty good with a lot of cash gifts.  He got a scholorship to The University of California in Irvine this fall and will major in mechanical and aeronautical engineering.

Aloha from a beautiful summer day. As Kev said, rain tomorrow and temps crash in time for the weekned. The Big Day is outside - but inside if it is raining. Only wedding at the place so that makes it easier I hope.

Hi guys,

57 going to 85 with 0% chance of rain. Bright sun and no clouds. The rains are coming to get Doug and us tomorrow. So no Trains today. I will be cutting grass as soon as the dew dries off.

Doug is the big day going to be done inside or outside? Huh?

I should find out what time tomorrow Lexi's surgery is by noon. My job will be to care for Jordan during the surgery and tomorrow night so I will have my hands full and there will be trains then for sure.

Banks, Why they call them SMART phones. Laugh I don't even look for the dead Ash back in the woods but there is a lot of them in there to. I have way too many trees to treat them and they are dead everywhere around here. It just breaks my heart to see it. Crying

Mornin' boys.  Saucy day in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Did get yatchet all set up yesterday.  Perhaps get out on it tomorrow afternoon.  As for today, grandson is coming over, so nothing will get done.

Banks - My personal timeline is by October.  Ideally, by Labor Day.  In reality, one day at a time here.

Good evening all,

Horrible day at work.  Good night for soccer.  Unfortunately, I stayed on the field about one run too many and got beat by a player on the other team who had a one on one with the keeper, which he converted.   Final score was 1-0.  Ouch.   Good news is that we should break ground next week on house addition.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,
