Good Morning from Blueberryhill............
Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone.
Today we are home and enjoying a great turkey dinner.
Going to watch the Macy's Parade on TV and relax.

Morning Gents,
Up early or late...as the case may be.
Happy Thanksgiving!....What?!? Nobody's deep frying a Turducken? Too late for us Canucks...Thanksgiving was a month and a half ago
Got my legacy remote and base back from Lionel...all upgraded to 1.52. Now, who's gettin' me something in Legacy steam for Christmas? Tired of running the SD40-2.

Still misty off and on. Chilly [33] tonight but no white stuff. Chilly tomorrow with mist off and on. Will not give up.
Big meal at In-laws. All of us might just show up at Ray's or Doug W's for the meal. Brent hasn't got that kitchen done yet.
Yes Ray, the Lord has blessed us very well.
Sleep tight.

Good evening all,
SP Man, congrats on 55 years. That is really neat. Ditto on what Traindaddy1 said as well. Should I mention that a Hoosier school (Butler) "schooled" a team from North Carolina on the fine art of basketball today? Maybe not. Doing better today, each day. Did build another American Brick house with LEGOs tonight. There is a trick to adapting plans. They do not always match up, but they do achieve the overall effect. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Evening FellasGot the rest of the kitchen floor tiled today. Heading back to Pittsburgh tomorrow morning to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family, then back home either Friday evening or Saturday morning to grout the floor. Start the back splash on Sunday... maybe grout it Monday night? Those are the last two major tasks, then just a bunch of detail and finishing work.Hope everyone has a safe Thanksgiving.

Howdy All.
Been awhile since posting, really been under the weather but still gotta have things ready for a full house tomorrow. Newest head count at 30. The turkey is taking his soak in the Maple Brine.
Charlie, belated condolences to you and your wife.
Mike, sounds as if you are progressing.
Mainly wanted to stop by and wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy being with family, extended family and friends. No ER visits this year so am very thankful for that and for the many friends on here and elsewhere that helps to enrich our lives.
Later all !

Good morning all,
Wife and I are celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary today. Being so close to Thanksgiving doesn't allow much time for anything special but we will probably go out to dinner at least and I want to buy her a new watch today if possible.
Took my Honda to a car wash/detailing place yesterday and got the marks on my car buffed out. Got the whole car waxed. Total cost was $75 but I was happy with that. I won't turn in a claim to the church but will consider it a donation.
Mike C., keep up the good improvement.
Our turkey is thawing out nicely and should be ready for the oven tomorrow. Need to do some last minute shopping today.
Our youngest son is bringing his new girlfriend over tomorrow for dinner. It will be our first meeting with her.
Thank the Lord for all the things he has given us, for the bad things taken away and thanks for all our friends and family.
Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving.
Ray

Aloha. Sunshine. Bitter cold. But I have a house full of kids and am thankful for friends like on this site, a decent job and good health. Glad that you are feeling better, MikeC - just in time for the holiday. Thanks for the info about pecans, Chief! Hope you get a deer. Kev, that is one good deal you got there. Prayers for Charlie. A tough Thanksgiving for them.
Doug Murphy 'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...' Henry V.
Have a safe and pleasant Thanksgiving.
32 degrees here
No wind, rain or snow.
The wind hammered us on Monday though, still some scattered power outages.
Had a chat with Charlie last night, he sounds exhausted, even on chat.

Well Good morning, Gray. frosty and cold. Not much planned today but to do some pre-Thanksgiving cooking to get a jump on tomorrow. I will do the Pumpkin pie and make the stuffing later so that will be out of the way. Also hope the dealer will finish up Katie's car so I can get my truck back tomorrow.

Sunday I ordered four John Deere tractors and a AC tractor for the layout antique car and tractor show scene and 100 of those Chinese people. Other than that not much news.
JimmyT hope you enjoyed your Birthday.
The rest of you have a good holiday.

Chief - I like doin' the weekly thingie. Kinda creeps up on me that way.
POURING and has been for hours. Still not to chilly but temps have dropped. Seems things are changing to snohio in the mountains. Here bilge pump in basement.
Fifey, how many more days? Need to start posting that. We can count down .
Wifey off to her Mom's to do Thanksgiving. Aunt and Sisters to come and help too. Her Mom not in good health.
Have a good one.
Mornin' boys. Raining and 41 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Schools closing 3 hours early in my area, and closed already in Brent-ville. Raining, 41.... Work tonight then off until Monday. Gonna spend some time with my folks while they are in town, then get to YORK on Sunday for the annual toy show. Will stop off in Glen Rock, PA for their Christmas Garden, and hopefully catch YORK 17 with Santa.
Better day. Actually went outside twice today. Once to get the paper and once to take trash bins back to the barn. Watched "The Flash" and wife and I did a jigsaw puzzle. Talk about an exciting life. Lucas checked on us today with a call. That was nice. Getting better a little each day. Still a long way to go. Thanks again for all the support. Dbaker said it best today on his post about thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a good day.
cnw1995 Chief, what does a pecan look like when it is on the trees? Big green soft but firm shell. The green splits open and what you see as a hard striped pecan falls out. Problem is, squirrels will start eating them in the green hull. You try to get them out of that hull and your fingers will be stained pecan brown for days. Also, when they first come out of the green hull, you need to let them dry a few days or hard to get out. We had a quick trip to Michigan this weekend to marry off the daughter. She and her fiance decided to have a civil ceremony so she can connect to his benefits. We'll still have a church service in the summer (I wasn't able to dodge that bullet ) Congrats

I have a name for the local weather forecasters. Not nice. Forecast was maybe a sprinkle or two from yesterday until tonight. Then big cold rain tonight and tomorrow. All activity from the gulf rushing NE was suppose to blow off shore until tonight. Started with thunder and lightning around 6:30 PM last night [just as I got to truck from deer stand]. 5 minutes later, bottom fell out. Rained all night [even though forecasters said not until Tuesday night] and this morning. Drove home. ~#%^*%@ Cloudy and not raining here. All east of I 95. Everything is always east of I 95 where the farms are. Must be a wall in the sky there.
Later
Aloha and Brrrrrrrr! Chipped ice off the car to open the doors and see out the windows in the station lot last night. What a turn-around from near-50 that morning.
Mornin' boys. Mild today, SNOHIZO tomorrow. I am making headway on the Christmas layouts. Got all 3 set-up in my garage at the moment.
Fifepup got his schedule, and has to work Thanksgiving night at his office supply store. Really...? OMG, 50% off on staplers!!! Would Norman Rockwell have painted an image of idiots rushing through a retail entrance on the last Thursday of November... I despise the ever-growing greed and selfishness of this society.
Good Evening All!
Not much going on here, just sitting back and reflecting on how much we have to be thankful for. And it is a LOT. Kay's situation and how well it is turning out, compared to what it could be! Then Chris' miracle that he is even here! And my leg is definitely improving! So what more could we ask for? I shudder to think if I would have known last year at this time, what was in store for us. Don't mean to be blathering, but we really appreciate what we have.
On the train side, I finished installing an ERR upgrade in the set of 2383's AA's that I have. Had a few difficulties that were due to the age of wiring in the engines. But the kit went in extremely easy. I also added an electric coupler and lights in the markers. When I run it, I put the non-powered unit in front facing forward, it has a headlight and marker lights that are always on. Have the powered unit connected back to back, so it is pushing backwards all the time. When it is running backwards I installed a couple of lights for the markers so they are on. And also installed the coupler on the front of that engine. That way I can couple and uncouple cars from that end of the consist. Then the marker lights are lit when it is running and the headlight is off. The headlight is lit on the lead engine. If I have the two run the opposite direction then the powered engine is leading with the headlight on, and markers are off. But it looks and runs great. Now I'm going to go through all the passenger cars and do some minor touch-up on the paint, and do some masking where light is leaking through the dome car. The set has been run more in the past 4 days than it has in the past 4 years.
As per family tradition, we spend Black Friday putting up outside decorations, which include a 20' long display of Santa, Sleigh and Reindeer. I also have one of the Miller Engineering Sleigh and Reindeer sets on one of the houses on the layout.
Glad to hear Mike C is doing better, and condolences for Charlie and his family.
Also hope Ray and his wife continue to do well, then there is the Chief. He would probably do better if he would stay out of the woods for awhile, until he totally gets better.
That's about it from here. So take care and STAY Healthy. Hope everyone has a great Turkey Day!
Don
Things sounding like there improving there Mike glad to hear it. Little by little is all we can do. Not much happened here today went to the store to get a few things to get us through till Tuesday the 2nd as don't want to deal with black Friday/cyber Monday or what ever lol.

Better day today. Actually watched a movie and took a shower. I hope everyone has a good day.
Hello there,Prayers for Charlie and family.Been really crazy here. Started last week with a whirlwind trip to Cedar Rapids Iowa. Mainly a favor to a good customer here. Price checking a local (Iowa ) contractor proposing some work in their plant that they are being forced to do by the local utility. My 1st impression is they are proposing to sell them way more than they need. Will verify that when I get a load history from utility company.Thursday on the way home from work received a call that resulted in an all nighter for a couple of my men with replacement men about 7:30 AM (I got about 3hrs that night) We got the power back on about 2:30 PM The 4160volt feed went to ground on 2 of the 3 phases due to lack of preventive maintenance. It’s a large old manufacturing building now several smaller business’ are in it.Corn is over half done with a decent crop. Yesterday was round 2 of leaf cleanup Mrs blew them to where I could get them with the Gravely. Got our yard done. Still have to do Dad’s.I found out how durable Samsung phones are. Last night while shelling corn son dropped his and it ended up in the corn sheller. After recovering the phone, the back and the battery he put it together and even though one corner of the gass is broken and it’s a lithe bent it still works. Probably should have a new glass to keep out moisture.

Charlie, prayers for you and your families during this time of loss to get comfort from the Lord.
Mike C, hope the costipation thing gets resolved soon.
Had a small accident yesterday at Church. We were having coffee and donuts after mass in the parking lot. A temporary 4 legged canopy for shade was caught by a strong gust of wind and blew onto my car parked nearby. Got a scuff mark on the hood and some small paint chips on on side. I'm hoping I can get this buffed out by somebody. Don't want to file a claim with church if I can avoid it. I just got the car painted a few months ago.
#2 son due back from North Carolina tonight. Have to pick him up at the Metrolink station. He went to a turkey shoot yesterday with his cousin. I don't think any turkeys got hurt.
later,
Aloha. Today's rain supposed to turn to snow up our way and in the city. No-one in the office today. MikeC, glad you are recovering well. Chief, what does a pecan look like when it is on the trees? Praying for Charlie's family!
If you have a Menards in your area, I recommend you check out their toy train accessories (some of which Bob Keller has highlighted). They are awesome. Lights, Miller Engineering signs, etc)
Oh boy it's 57 degrees but strong winds and cold temps are marching right back in before the day is over.
We will make visitation for Charlies dad today but we may not be able to make Toni's grandpa's.
Morning,
Rain has changed to snow within the last hour and everything is now white. Sending to points east. Big barn fire up by Doug in Woodstock. 32 horses died, only 5 got out.
No action on any of the traps last night. The bacon sounds like a good idea Frank. Yeah not like RB to not be posting anywhere.
Missing my truck. This loaner Equinox just don't cut it for me.
Good day to stay in by the fire with the cat.
Charlie,
Morning all. Sunny and very warm. Up and Down. Up and down. Suppose to get into the 70's today.
Off to the hunting camp. Back tomorrow night. Wifey off all week and getting Thanksgiving going.
Kev, try old fashion trap with peanut butter or heat a piece of bacon enough to make it smell [I usually put a tiny pieces on the end of a fork, use a grill lighter to make it sizzle a little]. The later, I have caught the buggers in less than 5 minutes of putting it down. Next is a bait trap kitty proof with Decon.
Mike, call Dr.
Prayers for upstate NY.
All have a great week.
PS: Everyone remembers Running Bear. Well, he was in rehab and posting there. Has not posted the forums for over two weeks. Anyone heard from him?
