Jeffrey, it's one thing to steal but quite another to do something like filling up the trucks with super glue. That's just plain mean. How did this guy gain enough of your confidence to let him in your house? Those kind of people will usually get what's coming to them eventually.
Memorial day weekend is here but I have nothing to get excited about except honoring our fallen heroes. My oldest son was born on Memorial Day but it has changed now to make a three day weekend so we will probably celebrate May 30th, next weekend.

Got grass trimmed and mowed. Got veggies planted, got the laundry room busy and I had my nap. Not a hot day but the afternoon was nice enough to be out without a jacket. Jeffrey what a jerk, being this is a family show I can't say what I really think of that kind of person. I hope you get him good. Banilla will be waiting, oh heck it's a holiday weekend, belly up to the bar and have a root beer on me....S.J.

Well I have my stuff back. Here's the apparent item of the guys desires. I guess I can't blame him. It is somewhat unique in that there's not another one like it. He had wrapped it in some paper towels so he was trying to protect it.

Got the holes drilled, messed up one column so had to rebuild it. Now to redrill that hole and cleanup a couple others... also go one coat of paint on the bridge... looks pretty good. Should have it finished for tomorrow's SPF. Then have to fit it on the layout, then remove it so I can build the mountain behind it.Have a good night all.
Jack - I have had to many of these days lately. Hope the trend continues and you get your list finished early so you can enjoy your weekend.
Jeffrey - glad you got your stuff back - can't believe the guy had the kahoonies to mess with your stuff while you were there.
Fife - congrats on the Durango
Lion88roar - bridge looks great
We made $225.00 on our garage sale. Most of the big ticket items are gone but we are still setting up tomorrow. We are going to push more energy toward projects than garage sale though.
Showed the train to the sister, brother in law,and nephew today. They were blown away. Just think when I start putting in bridges, tunnels, and scenery!
All for now. Have a good night
Good evening all,
It is cloudy and rainy in SE Indiana. Just as long as it is dry from about 10 AM to about 4 PM Sunday at 16th and Georgetown all will be fine. Will be cheering for the 14 and 41 cars (AJ's), the 21 of Sarah's (usually 67), the 78 of Simona's, and her teammate TK and Special Ed as well in the 20 car. Realistically as long as Chippy and Roger do not win, all will be good. I could even take an Andretti car winning as they have done much to promote the sport lately. Lunch is prepared, tickets and other items are ready to go, all we need is good weather tomorrow. Went to see grandson's last soccer game of the season as his team won 4-2. Jeff, I am so sorry to hear about the guy messing with your train items. That is wrong on so many levels. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
It looks like I'll have the F unit trio back in operation tomorrow. The super glue never really adhered to the parts in the trucks. Most of it came out in chunks and the rest was easily pried out with a small screwdriver. Thank the slick plastic and the ATF oil for that. I broke a couple of side frames on the second unit but I have spares and they were easily replaced. Getting the glue out of the gear teeth was the hardest part but that too is done. The trio should be running again by noon. It's been a hectic day for me and it's past time to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow which hopefully will be a normal day.
Mornin' boys. Sunny & 46 this Memorial Day Eve. Don't think Fifey will be sporting a speedo tomorrow at the pyu-ull. Major shrinkage potential. Major new car smell hangover.
RockIsland - Just wanted to make good from bad. We were right there "with" you.
88 - Looking sharp!
cheapclassics - Enjoy your day.
BOC - for your pal.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a sunny 50 degrees. Going up to 70 today with sunshine.
Today is an easy day. I have a few chores to do and then I will be in the train room until lunch. I need to run those trains.
Indy 500 today. Baseball this afternoon. And Nascar race this evenong. That's a good day.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck

Good Morning! 59, the SUN is out and it is very windy Down the Jersey Shore!
Yesterday I cut the front grass and it is finally looking good. Then it was biuld a firewood crib and load it, clean the filters in the fish tanks and just plin old chores. I missed the Tardis again! I fell asleep on the couch about 9:45!
Jack: You can be proud of the Young Lady.
Jeffrey: I would post what I think of that A$$@O&E but it would be deleted. Guys like that ruin the hobby and trust in fellow enthusiasts.
Brent: It is looking GREAT!
Fife: Congrats on the Durango! The best of luck! Enjoy it!
BOC: Continued Prayers for Gordon.
Rich: Prayers for your Sister.
Have a Great Day!

FIFE......that was very thoughtful of you to buy a brandy new Durango for the wifey.
CHUCK.......I read your schedule for today to my wife and she thinks you have too many sports on the agenda.
Jeffrey, I am thinking all sorts of gruesome consequences for that dirtbag and they all include torture and pain.
BOC........I hope our collective prayers have placed Gordon in good stead this morning.
HUDSON JOHN AND AF RAY......I sure could use some sun up here as the overcast skies and rain will be with me until 1PM.
TO ALL.....sorry for carrying on about poor service in yesterday's post but we get less than what we deserve sometimes when we don't get a tad confrontational when we have been blown off.
LATER GANG. The grandchildren spent the night and Grumpy........I mean Grampy is orchestrating the cleanup with the perpetrators. :-)
Jack :-)
IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.

Good morning. It's 74° with 95% humidity. The high will be 85°.Despite all the excitement yesterday I did have some relaxation time. My niece and her husband were having a family get-together at their home yesterday with plenty of barbeque. It was very good. Today I'll be working on the F unit trio. I just have to put them back together and it should be running again by noon. I don't have any plans for anything else.
The temp is 55 with bright warm sun.
Jeffrey you should Super Glue his fingers together. Maybe he'd remember to keep his hands off of other peoples property. Granny's at church and there's a graduation party tonight but in between all I see is a nap. S.J.
Jeff,
Wow. I don't let anyone in unless I know them. I'd be worried about that guy coming back.
Brent,
Fife,
Envious of the new car smell hangover.
for anyone I missed.
Haven't had much free time this week with the new job. Love it though. I couldn't ask for a more perfect job. Four mile commute, great people, and a safe, professional but relaxed environment.

SJ.......right product, wrong anatomical parts.
Jeffrey.......you are right. You should delegate the response to us, your "enforcers."
FIFE......Hemi? Third row seating? How about some details? Inquiring minds want to know.
JimmyT...... you kept hammering and look what happened!!! The better job!!!! Will only cost you $4.00 per day in fuel in the Mustang to commute.

Afternoon fellasWell after 1 day (2 to go) of eye drops Matthew's pink eye appears to be going away (hopefully we caught it early enough and it won't come back). Woke up this morning to TheQ saying rather loudly "Oh My God" and not in a pleasant voice. Finally drug my behind out of bed and went to investigate (since asking was not receiving an answer), only to find that Christina left a purple (of all Godly colors) crayon somewhere and TheQ missed it (found 3 others in the kids' laundry), well only took an hour of scrubbing with Comet to get it all off... what a mess!!!Check out SPF for pics of the bridge (not quite done yet)Fife - looks like we'll need to check how well the Durango knows the routes to the railfanning sites soon...
almost forgotJimmyT - congrats on the job! Brutus - prayers for Char's continued recovery.
I wonder what MikeC is doing right now. He probably took the wifey out shopping.
Jeffrey, glad you got your stuff back. Great job on cleaning out the gunk from the trucks. I knew you could if anybody could. Be interesting to know why the dirt bag put super glue in the trucks in the first place. Maybe the guy is mentally challenged or something. Sounds like something is missing above his shoulders.
Blownout, prayers for your friend.
My two racefan son's are glued to the tube today watching the Indy 500.
Need to smooth out a bump in my trackwork where it makes a transition from a Ross switch to tubular track. Any suggestions? Right now I am using transition Gargraves to Lionel pins. Problem is that tubular track sticks up higher than the Ross track at the joint.
Got some Tony Roma Ribs on sale for this weekend. Just heat and eat. Also have corn on the cob, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad etc. Yum, yum! Weight Watchers here I come. Only thing missing is Eastern North Carolina Que but can't have everything.
Church at 11:30 this morning. Son went to early mass and brought home a bulletin introducing our new temporary pastor who is starting in July. Also news that church festival was a success. However I did not win the raffle----------again for the umpteenth time. Oh well, money is for a good cause.
Have a nice holiday weekend all,
God bless our departed loved ones and heroes,

Brent......wet my pants when I read your post. You are lucky that crayon did not make it to the clothes dryer. Your escapades with the little ones bring back fond memories. Unfortunately, for every parental defensive tactic the children figure out a counter measure. :-)
