Good evening all,
Tired. Mowed yard. Long day at work. Going to bed. One bit of good news. A "situation" at work was resolved today. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
The current temp is 84.
OMG that tornado today was awful. Michigan gets some every year but I don't think we ever had one that was like that. Granny got the flowers planted but I didn't get the veggies in today. Banilla is waiting for the Tardis crew...S.J.

Pretty young lady. Takes after her Grandmother.
Busy Mayor day over finally. Tomorrow is Town Board only. I am doing a proclamation of thanks to a native young guy who has just returned from Afghanistan. That will be special.
Friend Fred coming tomorrow AM. Building his Wife some bird houses. Probably rain some more. Had several big down pours today.
Prayers for those who got hit today by storms. Hope they stop.
Later.

Hunkered down here in that red line on the radar scope that is running through the middle of Mo. Mostly noise and lots of rain. Had some high winds and 'rotation' a little earlier tonight.
Ran trains a little yesterday. Still got to work on the smoke unit in the Hudson. Had it loaded up with 11 cars to increase the current draw. Didn't seem to increase the smoke output.
Mounted the A/C in the bedroom window yesterday. Also got the new fuel line installed on my ugly old truck. Turns out that I needed a 5/8 tube wrench. The smallest one I have is 3/4, so off to Ace Hardware. I had to teach the kid clerk what a tube wrench was. Turns out they didn't have one, so I bought a box end and made my own. Rolling around in the grass under the truck working on the fuel pump end of the line didn't help my allergies much......
All for now.
lion88roar Fellas - come on - we were just warned by Jefferey, BoC, and Bob Keller to knock-off the political talk. If someone posts something of a political nature either take it off-line or do not respond. Not sure about anyone else, but I would like The POT to stay around.

Point well taken Brent. Corrected on my end. But I question why I should have done it. Seems everything is taken as political, even if it is, now just history. And BTW my reply had no political content just a reflection that there may be something more to look at. So what now, do we all get to be self made moderators ?. I may be a good one. I have no issues with what has happened just how some can't see how it did. Just make me understand why it is all okay if it is all on one side and why some get called out if some don't have the same opinion but others can post anything they want??? vacation sounds good.
Thanks,

jeffrey-wimberly Kev: Lexi makes that cast look good. I hope she doesn't have to have it on for long. One I had when I messed up my right knee in '71 was on for nearly three months. Of course that's a bigger joint with a lot more weight on it. One I had for my right wrist was only on for a month and a half.

Thanks Jeffery, They said because the break was clean and her age it may be able to come off in just three weeks.
SJ, We had to turn on the AC yesterday but I shut it off this morning. Now wishing I had not.
Ryan, It has arrived. I love it and so does wifey. Thank You. Now I know why Fife likes them so much. Very fragile though. I will have to keep it away from the kidos.
Good afternoon.
Feels really weird to be finished with school overall. Let alone the fact that graduation is roughly 10 school days away. Will be keeping myself busy by looking at notes for the two finals that I need to take. Trig and Physics. Will also start applying decals to my 109.

I didn't want to but the house was getting real stuffy. At 1:30 pm the AC was turned on. I gotta admit it's feeling better in here already...S.J.
good afternoon
the lot was a spur of the moment thing
i can get other acreage (more of it too) for ALOT less per acre, but the city hook ups were enticing
a well and septic around here about 20K (its all sand stone and they have to case the well the whole way down)
it'll come around
Ryan
Good Morning! 70 and overcast here Down the Jersey Shore!
We had a Great time at the Grandniece's Birthday Party! Lilly loved her tricycle. Today it is grocery shopping and Drill at the Firehouse.
Brent: The Bridge looks great!
Ryan: Hang in there. Things have a way of working out.
Fife & Kev: I agree with you both on NASCAR. Bring back the old rules.
Where is Laz?
Have a Great Day!
John
The temp is a muggy 75, going to 88. Of course that means we already have severe storm watches for this afternoon. We just returned from the local nursery with some veggie and flower plants. We tried Friday morning but couldn't find a parking place. Today was much better. For the OGR guys I had a ham and egg sandwich this morning(with for real ham too)...S.J.
Clouds but real warm on the North Bluff.
Prayers for all of those in the path last night and hope Jon and family are okay.
Jake congrats on the last day.
Ryan, Today is the day. I just checked the tracking. Sorry about the lot a well and septic would cost more than that.
Doug, CRVs are a good machine. Do it. Sounds like you had a nice party.
RJ, I think I will do my own storm door on second thought.
Fife, I am with you on NASCAR.
Buckeye may have to get the raiders ready for a trip to protect Doug, Dennis, Ray and the rest of CA.
What has happened to Laz?
Wife is home today so I had better get cracking.
Good morning. It's 75° with 89% humidity. It'll be cloudy with a high of 90°.Nothing planned for today except to lay back and take it easy. I'll watch some movies and later I may get around to doing something on the layout.
good morning
the lot i looked at is a bust. met with the sewer contractor yesterday, and since its so far off the path, im looking at 10k JUST FOR THAT not happening. thats more than the lot is
ohh well
looks like one of those days at work.
ryan
Aloha. Sunny and hot in Chicago. Brent, love that curved bridge. Jeffrey, love the billboard for the S.L.O.W. I am a sucker for cute things like that. Jake, congrats on almost being finished with your academic year. I have an opportunity to get a small 2003 Honda CRV that has been religiously cared for by a little old lady - to replace the 13 year old mini-van or at least free it up so the college boy can run it into the ground. I guess I should probably start planning now for the bride's next birthday too....

Rainy good morning. Garden and Wifey's plants are loving it. More on the way. The NC "baccy" is set out and growing too.
As usual, did not get to finish the scene in the Box. Always interruptions. Got door bell replaced. Then had to wire a new additional up light at the front of the house. By then, dark and tired.
Ray and Doug W., Don says visits are being planned to see both of you. Will be nice to be back in Californ-i-a.
Busy Mayor week. Off Friday [finally] but back Monday night.
Prayers for all those in the mid-west. Text from Jon E., tornado 2 miles from his home. He had 70mph winds.
All have a great week.
Good morning!
To sum up my Fri to Sun --- not enough time.
Friday was at dentist where he tried to repair a front shield filling on my tooth. Took two tries. Only for me to get home and have it come off again. So not sure what he will do with that. Front door project is still on going. Hoping to get the outside part done tonight. Probably could have finished outside part but decided to spend time with son. Hope to find out some news today on jeep. Need to call them and let them know to have a mechanic go through it. When I went to drop it off it made a terrible noise and lurched. Made me miss the first drive even.
It was a late night but I finally have a test layout done. We'll see once I start connecting all the pieces together. Either the layout or the front door will be finished tonight.
Doug - Sounds like the wife got ya for the birthday. My wife got me on my 40th. We were supposedly headed into a Halloween party. First birthday party I ever had not to mention surprise at that!
Sounds like some rough weather is headed our way and of course I have service calls today!
Hope every one has a great day and prayers to those effected by these storms.
Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Overcast and 66 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Crappy weekend weather-wise, and we still have yet to stretch the sails on the yatchet. Wifey and the princesses played Monopoly last night, and man-oh-man are they cutthroat. Did get the laundry done, and did get some pics posted on SPF (first time in like, ever)...
Trying to watch a NASCAR race is getting to be laborious. I'd like to see them cut the lengths in half (except Daytona), and go back to the 1948 rule book.
Fifepup wants to go test drive a used GMC pick-up today. Will have to try and squeeze that in before work.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a dark and cloudy 64 degrees. Looks like rain but they say NO. Going up to 86 today.
Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of chores and a project to work on. I'll be busy all morning. Lunch and a nap, I hope.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Monday.
Chuck
Good morning.
Last full day for seniors, will also be very busy.
TARDIS is ready! I am beat, Pete. Spend over 3 hours mowing the back yard/hill including down in the trees for the first time this year. It got up in the high 90's, like 150 degrees with the humidity I think!? I kept taking little breaks in the shade to cool off, but mannnnn.... I'll have to hit the rest with the rider after work tomorrow or something. Family will all be staying home on Memorial Day. I have to work on Saturday, though. I hope to get some work down in the basement just cleaning up and getting ready for the contractor. Oh well, I'll drive tonight as this banilla has really cooled me down - let's go!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
ChiefEagles KRM Come on Chief, come home from your vacation. The weather is fine. Ray, you got some CA bar-be-que for me. Will be surprising you, Dennis and Dougsnotthegrump in a couple of months thanks to US Airways. There goes the neighborhood !

Kev, Prayers for Lexi, sounds as if she is doing good.
Doug, Can't remember if I wished you a or not. Sounds like they really got you on the surprise party. I've started plans to do something similar for our anniversary in Oct. The BetterHalf has been on such an emotional rollercoaster this past two years that I want to do something special for her. Aren't many of our wedding party still living but those I've talked to plan on coming out.
Chief, Looking forward to your visit. Need to check with Roy and find when he will be out this way on business, would be cool if the dates coincided. If y'all make a rosdtrip to the museum maybe I'll do a batch of pulled pork or maybe some shrimp creole for lunch.
Good day at the museum friday, only one pile-up but it wasn't mine. Crowds have been relatively light for a couple of weeks. Spent part of the afternoon helping set-up "G" gauge track in the PB Room for saturday's Thomas & Friends Family Day. They let the munchkins take turns running the Thomas stuff, sometimes it gets a little crazy. Speed Kills ! Believe the next event will be Family Circus Day in Aug., I'll be there with my Bachmann "Emmett Kelly Circus Train".
Spent saturday cleaning up the train room, primarily getting the G gauge stuff packed into tubs and put in the garage. Now I've got room to turn around w/o tripping over stuff.
Time to sign off, later all.

It's been an uneventful day. I spent some time going through some old data CD's and DVD's looking for some software. Some of it won't run under Windows 8 but most of it will. One of those that does work is RRTRAINS 2000. Eventually I'll go through and make a new inventory of all my locos and rolling stock. The old inventory is woefully outdated. I also have to get around to printing up some cab numbers for my locos. That means first color matching the paint for the background color on the paper. Have you ever tried scanning a loco to get a good color match in MSPaint? Not exactly my idea of fun. I have some clear and white Testor's decal film but my old HP 3930 Deskjet printer isn't the best at printing on that stuff and the results are entirely hit and miss, mostly miss. Usually the ink cracks badly as it dries. Tonight I'm listening to an old Niel Diamond CD I have. Viva Las Vegas.Well, time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
Good evening.
Did get my English done, and also got work done on the 109 by adding spots to it. Looks sharp now.
Night everyone.
