Wow, finally got some time and got feeling good enough to catch up. Man did I miss out on a lot or what?.

D.C. trip was fun, but didn't see anything Amtrak related on the NEC, no ACS-64s. Crying A few Amtrak commuters with some VRE trains.

Went to PA's state capitol on the first day. Something else I tell ya, you won't find architecture like that just anywhere.

Gettysburg was after that. It was cold, but just remembering what happened there was cool enough.

Afterward, Arlington. Conditions weather wise weren't any better.

Last on that day were the memorials and monuments. You can look at pictures all that you want, but it isn't until you get up close to them in person do you realize just how BIG they are.

Thursday was mostly on our own. I decided to hang around a friend, Danette (who moved to Towanda during my freshman year) and two others. First, the Holocaust Museum. I can sum it up in one word. Disturbing. Don't know how else to put it. I never originally had plans to go in, but since Danette was looking to go in there, I decided to as well. Natural History museum was next, and that was one place that I was hoping to get to. Afterwards, we went to the Air and Space Museum. Now Danette wasn't originally going to go in, but since I went to the Holocaust Museum with her, she said she would head into the Air and Space Museum with me. After all of that, there was a play that the class went to see.

After that long day, we went to the National Zoo. Didn't see any pandas unfortunately. Crying We then went the whole 5 hours to Binghamton to see a hockey game before getting back here in Towanda. All day yesterday and most of today I was too tired to get on.

We have had sun all day but it's cold.

Laz I was a scribe to MR and then switched to CTT Vol1,#1 and I don't recall even getting the offer for a boxcar. I missed the end of the race by a few minutes but I can live with that. Banilla tonight for the Tardis chat..S.J.

Happy Birthday Brent!!! Happy B-DayCakeGift

Laz: I saved money for York and they Do Not Honor York Badges @ Greenberg Shows.

Fife: Continued Prayers for Alexis.

Mike: Continued Prayers for your Daughter

Jake: Who cares about Amtrak when you could watch Danette!

Rich: Sorry to hear about the passing of your fellow firefighter. I am glad things are coming together.

Have a Great Day!

I got some serious cleaning up done on the layout today, enough so at least I could put together this scene in Sundown, a place so laid back that two horseflys colliding head-on is big news.

Looks like Ezra's Exxon and take-out pizza joint is getting some business.

Hello all

One more quiet night until the MIT herd invades tomorrow.

Doug - thanks for the link on the Plymouth switcher. The HO unit I had was a more modern version and was also in a red and silver paint scheme. AHM made a 2-rail version that I may be able to modify that is nearly an exact copy of the body. I do like those K-line Plymouths though, so maybe I could do a repaint on one of those. I've already had some experience w/ their smoke units.

Fife - glad to hear your daughter is doing well!

Kev - I need to take your lead on putting a few things on the bay

DougM - looks like ya guys need some chlorine for that river...Whistling

Brutus - looks like you had some weather out your way

Jeffrey - must have been a big sale or something at Erza's Exxon

In researching stuff for recreating my first train set in O-gauge, I've been learning quite a bit. Tonight I studied up on 'cabeese'. There are some great websites out there w/ types, history, modifications, and final disposition. The caboose I had in HO seemingly never existed in SF colors. PRR had a somewhat similar type, but it's actual design may be something unique to the model train world and simply inspired by various actual full size models.

For the time being we'll have the set w/ the 0-8-0 switcher and the UP version of it. I may chase down one of those K-line switchers some day.

Good morning. It's 65° with 100% humidity. The high will be 80°.

It's been a long day for me already as I've been up since 3am. I'm operating on three and a half hours of sleep. Maybe I can catch a nap later. I'm going to try to get more done on the layout today. I got a good start yesterday but I have to keep it going. The extension is almost clutter free. Once that's cleared away I can get started on cleaning up the east side where I'll eventually put in some structures for Knutsville.

Good morning.

Gut hurts today, but I think that it may just be acting up for some reason. Otherwise, nothing out of the ordinary.

Good Morning.   The computer at the house is acting up, hence no post from me saturday / sunday.

On saturday, I did speak with the REAL owner of the proprty next to me. turns out the guy that was posing as the owner is the guys son, and is simply renting it from his father.   All is good.

looks like we have some snow headed our way today and tonight..... we'll see what actually falls.  As much as I wanted a good snow this winter, at this point, I am quite frankly, just ready for Spring.

Hi GUYZ,

28 here and apose to snow but didn't yet.  Watch Finding Bigfoot last nite, they still didn't find him.  Also watched The Bible on History channel.  Pretty good.  Got PT done then take my MINNIE down to the river and back.  Call up BOXCAR BILL and work with him on my K-line shay, because of all the odd wiring we have to rewire innards.  Oh well it taught me not to purchase anymore K-line stuff.

Aloha. Grey and sleet-y today. Fell out of the TARDIS last night. Must've been leprechauns in the computer. Smmbob, I love your idea of recreating your first train set in O. My first set was a Tyco HO set too - a streamlined Burlington passenger set pulled by an F unit. My brother had your set, and I think he still has it!

Good morning all,

Cloudy in SE Indiana and then will turn cold this week.  Was hoping for a quiet day at work, but that thought went away early.  Balanced the checkbook yesterday and will start on taxes tonight.  State taxes take longer than federal to do.  TBIL and I can drive.  Four Indiana teams in NCAA tourney.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good morning, 38 and cloudy.

Had a nice relaxing evening and a enjoyed the chat on the Tardis. Doctor's appointment this morning.

Ryan: Glad that things will work out with your neighbor. One jerk could screw up all of your permits. I am lucky, I have great neighbors.

Laz: The York countdown continues. I think I will show my pass to the doc. Probably have me committed!

Have a Great Day!

Printing shipping lables and packing up parts. Still awaiting payment on 4 items. 3 more will end today and then only 1 left. it is kind of a pain selling on the bay, maybe I will get the hang of it.

Now to go to town and hit the bank and post office.

Ice all over the place out here on the North Bluff. I about fell and broke my Arss walking to the shed. Surprise

Good deal Ryan on the guy next door. Yes

Mornin' boys.  Overcast & 37 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Back on evening shift.  Youngest Princess propped up in easy chair watching her shows.  Walks a little without aid.  FifeMax doesn't jump all over her as usual; he senses something very different and is easy around her.  Smart pooch.  Wifey is exhausted after 5 nights @ hospital.

Hudson, Sub, I have 4 or so of those k-line switchers, I really like them.  Great runners. Any idea on how to make them smoke better?   Can you do the lionel thing with drilling out the smoke box?   I haven't had one apart yet.

Hudson, Kev, The neighbor thing is irritating.  but time will tell.  I think what really got me was the son acting like he owned the house. And as far as I knew, he did. Ohh well. I don't want to be a bad neighbor, but you don't move in and six months later start telling the other neighbors what they can and can't do.

gotta do some house keeping tonight before the wife gets home from Florida on Wensday.

No snow to be seen yet. Cloudy and COLD

I picked up my whole set with the six cars for $91.00 including the shipping on the bay. Nice runner and great detal. But I have had some issues with the smoke unit / units. Smile, Wink & Grin

BTW, Package shows as out for delivery. Yes

Ryan, First thing to check to be sure the smoke unit fan is working. That has been the problem on mine 3 times. Hmm
