Evenin' All.

Continued prayers for Alexis. Thumbs UpThumbs Up

Mike, Hopefully this is overwith and your daughter, no matter how old they are still "Daddy's Girl", is on the mend.

Jeffrey, Don't even mentiion the Tax Man. GrumpyGrumpy

Crazy busy week with Thursday being an absolute waste, went out for dinner Wednesday nite for club bizness and apparently there was way to much salt and it thru my system wacko. Friday made great progress on the Imaginarium table for donation, for something that started out sounding so simple it has really turned into a real challenge. Hopefully I can finish it up NLT Tuesday. Then start on the BetterHalf's Relay for Life Diorama. Today was a mixed blessing day, went to a noon Mass to celebrate the life of a close family friend who passed away a couple weeks ago. Afterwards we had to cut the reception a little short to attend a museum function from 5 til 8. Glad today is over.

HudsonJohn/AF53, Ready for a "RoadTrip" ? The Yankees will be here in San Diego on Aug 2/3/4, a good excuse to vist the museum and catch some ballgames. Whistling Smile, Wink & Grin

It's about time to put these tired bones to bed.

Hey, anyone know where I can get a O scale  Creature from the black lagoon for my layout pond???? Whistling Smile, Wink & Grin

 I will check back later.

 Have fun.

Kev, There are quite a few like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/380524534207?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 on E-Bay but they measure out to about 4" tall. Since they are a tad tall you could always cut  off it's legs/lower torso and put him in the water like he's walking out after a victim. Mischief

There really isn't a matching O-gauge unit for the loco, but the 0-8-0 is a SF unit. I already have a couple of SF cabeese so I managed to hunt down a 9855 Swift reefer and a 9283 UP gondola. I also found a UP bay window caboose that will make the diesel version of the set (although UP instead of SF) that will be a good excuse to hang on to the WBB NW-2 UP switcher I haveStick out tongue

Prob shouldn't hang out on e-bay so muchTongue Tied, however most of these would prob fit into the 'cheap classics' category.

Any of you guys done this?

Bob, Try this link, it ain't the cheapest I've seen but with York coming up maybe someone can find one there for a better price.

Mornin' boys.  A very good mornin'.  Youngest Princess is coming home today.  Every day she gets stronger and more mobile.  With help, she can get out of bed and go to the bathroom with a walker.  She sleeps a lot due to the meds.  The Scoliosis operation went better than we could have hoped for.  It appears she actually gained 1 1/2" in height, making her taller than Mommy, and I don't think the incision will be all that noticeable in a few seasons.  She was noted as the yougest patient ever in this hospital's ICU.  She misses Fifemax terribly, as he does her (that's gonna be a handful later on here...).

I want to convey Kelly and mine's deepest appreciation for all the Prayers conveyed here on our daughter's behalf.  They meant everything to us, and I went back and read each and every one of them (and welled up too).  There is a healing power here.  Right after the operation, we went to the St Francis Chapel in the hospital.  Coincidence, or are you guys just that good...? Laugh

Thank you.

Cheapclassics - Angel for your Princess.

Chief - Congrats on the Grandnephew.

lionroar88 - Happy B-DayCake.  And thanks for updating the fellas.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Good Morning and HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! Crazy weather here yesterday: Temps went from 28 to 44. We had snow, sleet, hail and rain!

Fife: Great news about Alexis! Continued prayers for her recovery and for your family.

Mike C: Good news about your daughter!

DougtheG: Don't tempt us. I am retired and Ray is not, yet.

Heading out to the Greenberg Show in Edison today, right down the road from the old garage.

I am looking into buying a press and related tools for train repair. Anybody have experience and thoughts on comparing Hobby Horse to Toy Train Repair Parts? I am open to suggestions.

Have a Great Day!

Begosh and Begorra, laddies, 'Tis most cheering news about the Wee Princess. May her recovery be smooth as the silk that's wrapped around... oh never mind. And a most happy return 'o the day to our own boyo, Brent, who was so blessed to be born on this special day, along with me mother-in-law.. Off to pray more for the Princess and Mike's daughter's recovery. May those stones be blasted back... oh never mind. Smile

Great news Fife!

*

Good morning. It's 59° with 100% humidity. The high will be 78°.

The only thing on my schedule today is layout cleanup. Wanna bet I can't get it done due to interruptions? The newly remotored Atlas FP7 and the new E-R Models FP7 are getting a good run-in this morning as part of a consist of four FP7's pulling a heavy weighted general freight. It's quite a colorful consist. Unmarked gray/RI/BN/Ex-PRR.

St Patrick's Day

Great news about Alexis, prayers will continue as she heals.

Temp is 26 with sun this morning. Granny is at church and then out we go for something Irish for lunch. I wonder if Doug Murphy could be Irish. Granny Pat's mother wanted a Patrick on this day but she missed it by 2 days and had to settle with a Pat-ricia. Lucky for me, I don't think I would have married a Patrick...Enjoy the day....S.J.

Tardis ride with Brutus last night, we talked about fast food hamburgers.

Good Morning all and Happy St. Patrick's Day,

St. Patrick's story of how he was captured and sold as a slave in Ireland to tend sheep, his escape, becoming a priest then returning to Ireland where he was a slave to convert the nation is amazing story of conversion, forgivness and perserverence.

Fife - Continued prayers are being offered for healing and recovery now.

Snowing like crazy now.  Weird, yesterday played outside in shirtsleeves and now snow!

Later, May God bless

Yesterday's race was good the last 20 laps. Kyle Bush the winner (Fife, you note?). I agree with SJ. Its the last few laps that are the best.

And short tracks are better than the long  tracks with their stay in line and go around and round.

Fife - great outcome for the little Princes.Yes

Chief - Looking forward to gardening season. Note quite there yet.

Morning all.  Sunny now and warmer than earlier.  Was cloudy and misty around 8 AM.  Suppose to be "off and on" today with rain tomorrow and Tuesday.

Best of the Irish to all.

Sir J, my pilot buddy's name was Patrick.  His wife's name was Patric.  So, you drop the K for female.

Sturg, glad to have you back posting.  Being a non-Catholic, you help me understand your Church.  We all need to understand each other.  Great respect for your Church.

Mike, good news on Daughter.  Continued prayers.  How is that Son of yours?

Fifey, great news.  Continued prayers.  Yes, we have seen this "rag tag" bunch "pray" a lot of good news.  CBS, Good Morning America, did a thing on good friends and how they help the brain.

DougDG. Thanks for the link. I was thinking about cutting what ever I got in half so it would be coming out of the water.

BOC, I agree when will spring come????  Tongue Tied Heck I would take just a day or two above 50 at this point.

Happy St. Paddy's day to ye all,  I'm not Irish but I married one so that makes my kids at least half Irish.  Don't know if I have any green to wear to church today unless it's warm enough to wear a golf shirt.  I suppose we could sing "Who put the overalls in Mrs. Murphy's chowder" or some other Irish ditty instead.  S.J. we have one Patrick.  our first born has that for his middle name.

Fife, great news about Alexis.  prayers continue for complete recovery.Angel

Ran a few trains yesterday with no pile ups.  Wife stuck her head in train room while I had music blaring and three trains running with all that racket to inform me that the movie "Titanic", the original one with Clifton Webb and Barbara Stanwick was on.  Told her to call me again if they ran "A Night to Remember".  I like that version best because it puts all the emphasis on the story and not the actors although they were good.  The very latest with Leonardo DiCaprio, although a box office hit, was strictly Hollywood.

Went out to eat last night but appetite ran out before the food did.  Brought some of it home.  The place  where we went is very generous on the portions.  I call the place, "The home of the wide load" which reflects the look of some it's patrons.

Have a happy St Patrick's Day and "May you be a long time in heaven before the devil knows you're gone".

Watching the race - don't really care for #18 but he can drive a race car. From rear to front after a pit speeding penalty. Where is M Martin today? Bristol is one of his favorite tracks.

SJ, LAZ, and H John - gettin closer to York everyday. The gang and I here are making our travel plans this week!

FIFE - great news about the Princess! Prayers continue Angel

A little cooler here today at 73. About the same all week and maybe a little rain Thurs?

Have a great St. Pats!

Fife - Angel for Alexis - may she come back stronger and better than ever!!

MikeC - continued Angel for your daughter

Happy B-DayCake - Brent!!

Been a long week - Viewing for a brother firefighter's Mom and stood Honor Guard at a viewing and funeral for a long time member.  They are an Irish family and the burial was rife with Irish traditions weather and bagpipes not with standing.  It did my heart good to know the last 2 Honor Guard shifts were manned by us of the Italian heritage, so you know he really did get the proper send off.

I celebrate the day of the Irish only for 2 real good reasons: My Grandma M was English/Irish and my best friend is of Irish descendance.  And I truly love them both (Grandma gone quite a few years now and I see my best one for lunch now and again).

Was at fire training yesterday and I have the minor aches to prove it.  Cut up a few roofs, busted open a few doors and squirt some water.  The 3 fires we had set for us were hot and smokey...good times even in the snow!!  Those of you on Facebook may have seen the picture.  I'll try to post it here if I can.

Took Mom and Dad out for breakfast this morning at the Elks lodge.  It was good to treat them for a change.  Making progress financially, slowly but surely.  Headers coming soon as I'm sure the money is right.

Sun is out and quite chilly.  I may head out later after my "chores" have been completed.

See ya soon!

Good question LAZ, I think the only way would be for us to quit posting. Nope...not going to happen and they know it...... Someone convinced someone at CTT it was a good idea?? No wonder they did not send you the Boxcar, they had to pay some idiot to screw around with the site, and they still have not fixed the Party guy emotion. There is a X on the lower Right you can click on but everytime you change the page you will get a new one.  Tongue Tied  Laugh

The NASCAR race was lame and Bristol with 160,000 seats,,, and from looking, seemed like about only 60,000 had anyone in them should tell NASCAR something about the cost to attend a race. Danica WHO????

They did have a nice bit on my old guy Allen # 7 before the show. May he RIP Angel

Good evening all,

It is cloudy again in SE Indiana.  Ran the new Marx set today.  Absolutely gorgeous.  Runs really well.  No smoke or sound, but it does have an electronic E-unit, which is nice.  Watched the taxicabs for a bit.  Kimi won the F-1 race in a Lotus-Renault, which was a bit of a shocker.  Have to go balance checkbook.  TBIL after "Once Upon a Time".  Good to hear from Fifedog, and continued prayers for Alexis.  Thank you for all the support for my own daughter.  Happy St. Patrick's Day from an Irishman!  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

I just block it out with Adblock. All that's left is a little black square in the lower right corner.
