Good morning. It's 67°F with 95% humidity. It'll be cloudy with a fair chance of rain. The high will be 75°F.Looks like a dreary wet day here in the Sportsman's Paradise. Today I plan to clean up the layout a bit. I say a bit because if I think about cleaning up the whole thing it seems a daunting task. Now I wonder how well my plan will stand up to interruptions. I'm also waiting on a package to arrive from north of the US/CAN border. I have no idea what's in it so I just can't wait to get my hands on it.

Aloha. 60 degrees already - another century-old record falls in Chicago. A busy long day with class tonight. Browsing Hornby clockwork engines again just for fun. Got some doc visit results back and turns out I am vitamin D deficient. A great excuse to move to the sunny South? Nope, they have a pill for that. Hope you have a quick and productive doc visit SJ.

Kev, From The North Bluff Above Marseilles IL.
A very grey dawn with an ominous and darker frontal line moving east with some lightning flashes, and thunder, and the temp is 65 degrees, Is this wierd, well yes. It is January 29th in Kansas City, and the temp ought to be about 22 degress and any precip should be the white stuff. But we're headed for 10 degrees by tomorow night.
I didn't have much success wiring the next circuit of switches at the Mall layout yesterday. My ribbon wire wasn't long enough and then there was a polarity problem. I did get additional wire to reach, and set up another wiring run which is in place.
More thunder, and I'm staying home and working on the restorations and fix ups today (I washed the car yesterday and don't want to see it get dirty so soom. Glad I don't have to go out.

WOW, 59 degrees at 7:30AM. Will be 4 degrees by Thursday night.
The talking heads on the tube are all talking about flooding because of the rain we are to get on top of frozen ground. Hope they are wrong.
The wife went to work today. She sounded better this morning.
Not much planed for today.
Thanks Ryan.
Y'all have a good day.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a warm 55 degrees. Going up to 62 today with cloudy skies. And tomorrow it is turning cold again.
Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of chores to do and a project to work on for the wife. Should take all morning. Then, I can relax and have a nice lunch. And , then, a nice nap.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.
Chuck
Good morning! gonna be a heat wave of 48 here today.
so now we go from frozen to mud, NICE
The Tv doesnt bother me, I really dont watch that much TV, and when I do, I have my nose burried in the laptop anyway, or are reading at the same time. What can I say, she doesnt know about half the trains I bought when she wasnt looking, not that she'd say anything.
In fact, she must have down in the basement nosing because she once again reminded me that I ned to get insurance on the collection, I think she goes down there and adds up the price stickers. ohhhh well
got alot to do today,
Kev, Ill try for the post office again today, I drive right past it on the way home, just completly forgot yeaterday afternoon
ryan
Good morning.
Guess what? It's supposed to be ABOVE freezing today! Good chance for the ice to melt off.
Don't expect to get any layout work done.

Good Evening!
Today was Mom's last day of radiation. She has Chemo next Tuesday and 2 weeks from Wednesday she sees the radiation doc. So far no reactions, no pain or redness.
SJ, Good Luck and prayers for your procedure tomorrow.
Jon, Glad that you are home safe.
Kev: Have fun with the track plan. I am now deciding on what brand and type track. I have the layout that I want.
RI Jack, Glad you are back. I love your whit. Always leave with a laugh.
Jeffrey: Hang in there.
8N, Congrats on the Black Bonnet.
Prayers for all in need.
John
Sunny and about 70 today. Supposed to be thunderstorms tomorrow with falling temperatures over the next few days.
Work was still there today. Again, it just about where I left it on Friday. Where are those weekend elves when you need them?
I'm glad I pulled the trigger on the black bonnet A-B-A set. I was kind of regretting missing the K-line offering of a few years back.
All for now.
KRMIt is amazing how what looks like a lot of real estate gets small as soon as you put down some track.

Packing it in a little early tonight. With all that's been going on with the family and memorial preparations I've been pretty busy and I'm at the point where I just can't take much more. I'll be glad when it's all over and done with. I've not been feeling good today so didn't get anything done on the layout. It's gonna be a warm night. Looks like 65°F. Expecting some rain tomorrow.Well, that's it for now See y'all tomorrow.
Busy today, didn't get on until now.
Not much went on today. Nothing to report.
Night.
ChiefEagles KRM Chief, Mrs. Edna's package arrived today so I have been laying different track ideas down on the 6' x 10' layout addition. It is amazing how what looks like a lot of real estate gets small as soon as you put down some track. Especially when you do 72" curves. Then do dual mainline in 72". Now for TV with Wifey.

Ohayō,
It was not as cold this morning when I woke up to go to the gym. I believe we are going through a bit of a heat wave and our forecasted highs for the week are in the mid-50s. I am enjoying a quick coffee break at work now and watching a few minutes of the Stars-Blue Jackets hockey game. I have enough work on my plate today to ensure the workday will fly by. I plan to take the two older kids out for lunch today as well.
Hudson John – I’m glad your mom’s treatment is moving along and that you were able to enjoy the waiting time with some fellow train enthusiasts. I think we all have an Aunt Rita in our families.
SJ – I hope your doctor visit goes well.

Lehigh Valley 2089Ahhhh........ nice to be home. Didn't add any decals, but heavily weathered the cars I got for my birthday and finished adding decals to #790, an H16-44 Fairbanks Morse Small Trainmaster. Also added heavy weathering to it. Plan on posting a picture once I can.

railhead53Ryan - just so happens a few days ago my oldest daughter mentioned to me that her Mother was wanting to replace our present tv in the living room with a flat screen tv. I should mention that the current tv is doing just fine thank you! She has not yet mentioned a flat screen to me. Perhaps I shouldn't be to surprised if one Visit my website Bo's Trains at http://www.bostrains.com

You guys are scaring me. This is the second such TV discussion I have come across trying to catch up on my reading.
The LAST thing I would want is for my wife to make a unilateral choice like this without consulting me first. Keep your mouth shut and you are then stuck with the TV for the next 15-20 years. If you say you don't like what they chose, you are a labelled a thankless villain. You lose either way.
Good Afternoonish...
Good thing it was a work at home day today...now it be foggy as all get out here.
Going to have a bit of an operating session with the neighbour and go to bed early tonight...early morning doctor check up ...

Slept in today and woke up with a stuffed spinning head.
HudsonJohn...... AF Ray DID say there are times when you have a swelled head, but I never thought you were even the slightest bit egotistical.
submmbobJack - looked into coming up w/ something for the bathroom vent fan, but don't want to waste the time & money on this guy. Would rather work on my trains and radios
Bob........a 36" vent fan turning at about 10,000 rpm should do the trick. It will suck him right off the ground. The haircut will be a freebie, compliments of his much beloved co-worker, you!! And it might make him totally paranoid about lighting up in the bathroom the next time, against the company rules (and common courtesy), and then having the brass to deny it was HIM!!!!
KRM RIJack is quiet these days???
KEV.........I have been paid off to give ya'll a break!!!
wrconstructionevening guys, I played with trains ALL day today. couldnt figure out why the wife wasn't bothering me, she even came into the basement (prob only the 4th time in 9 years) and saw my collection of motorized units and fell in love with them, and we had them all out running at once. she was happy, turns out she bought a 50" LED TV when I wasnt looking today. its actually pretty nice, can do the internet on it too. should see the photos you guys post in 12" x 24" format NICE!! Ryan
RYAN.........I just HATE when that happens!!!!!!! She should have consulted you first and you would have had a 60"!!!!!

Blueberryhill RR You are right, Kev. I have to discount the price a little. Down to 10 cents each. No Paypal but I can put them in "layaway". Buckeye bought 200, so I can put a down payment on you know what. Shipping on that beast is about a hundred bucks. Chuck

Chuck as much as Buckeye has been working lately I am surprised he did not buy you out of pictures and pick up one of those you know whats for you when passing by any LHS in his travels and give you free shipping.
Bo, How much does that ZW-L weigh in at?
Chuck throw in free shipping and a dollar, I'll take one for 10 cent...S.J.
34 here on a gray Monday morning....snow, sleet and now rain....whatta mess.....
Yeah, that guy had the nicest boat.....period!!! Too cool.
Spent the day lounging around the house, cleaned up my train stuff and TRIED to get my lap top to work. Deleted many old programs and dumped a lot of other stuff on my travel drive. Will check to see if its any better tonight.....booting up takes like 15 minutes.
Devils lost last night in Montreal in OT, still got a point, though. Afterwards went shopping for lunch for the week....ok maybe 3 weeks...$40 worth. I'm set for a while, I think. The soup and noodles were on sale, so I got 16 of 'em, yeah, that's like 3 weeks, 2 gallons of Arizona Green Tea 2 instant meals and some Tastycakes Tandy Takes choclate and peanut butter and Toasty crackers with peanut butter. We're good now...
Found some stuff nearby that are either part-able or rebuildable...I may make an offer. Some Marx stuff there.
That's all from here...check back later!
PS, YES I'm working.....
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Kev - we need to watch then and see if Chuck's plan works. If so, I've got some autographed photos I could sell also!
