Evening all got enough of the trim work done to put the big cabinet back where it belongs and the chest freezer also. I added 2 more shelves to the wall and thats about as far down as I can go with it. Still plan to build a work bench/cabinet the 6' I have from the freezer to the doorway. That will be storage.
Did make one mistake thou that is I started displaying my trains and the wife goes how many train do you have I have never seen this many befor. ( and she still hasn't seen them all lol) Well she better get use to seeing them. Plan on building a few more shelves on a side wall to that wall to display the rest if I can. I figured I now have like 16 motorized units. and to a lot of you thats nothing I know. But to her thats too many lol.
Well thats about it for tonight time to head out of here have to work tomorrow.

Good evening all,
It was cloudy in SE Indiana today. Reffed the last youth soccer game of the season today. It was a good one with the score being 5-3. "My" soccer boys play at Centerville on Thursday for the first game of the Regionals. Took it easy the rest of the day after reffing. Busy day tomorrow for my day off. TBIL and the victory barrel rolls will contnue some more. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Time to relax,
Mike C, Congratulations on your Soccer Boy's win.
AF53, Ray, Her reaction is that there is no OT.
Chief: All it takes is 1 who wants to play politics and forgets common sense.
Time to relax with my wife with a glass of wine, some cheese, crackers and pepperoni.
Tomorrow and Tuesday I have to drive 2+ hours to a class on water bourne paint.
Have a Great Night!
John
Chilly and misting rain. Back from a political fund raiser for a friend of mine in the other part of the County. Can't even vote for him as out of my District. Kev, don't have a heart attack but the guy is a DEM. I'm doing the same for my house district. [not arguing politics, just stating my agenda and facts]
I use to mulch all my leaves into the garden. Well, with the Box taking up so much garden and then Wifey's garden is in boxes, not much room as my little garden is small. Since we have a giant oak tree in front and three pecan trees in the back, think I may have a problem this year.
Stay warm.

Went to my parents place for dinner. My mother was home from the nursing home for the day. She's being taken back there now. Before I left to come back home we all got together for a family photo. Myself, my father, mother, both sisters, their significant others, my niece and her significant other. Somehow the camera didn't blow into a million pieces. I've had all I can eat for today. I have a doctor appointment in the morning so that'll be the morning shot.
Hi Guys!
Been AWOL this past summer. Been dealing with getting the youngest into college, the oldest moved out of the house (Yeah - empty nesters!!!!), construction at the lake house, and yard rework at our main house - whew!
Hope all are well. Headed to York week after next. Left a post on Don's York post.
Watching NASCAR - go Jr!
Regards, Roy
Good Afternoon.
After all the closet shoveling and front end loading...plus all the NAS reformatting and who knows what all else I'm finally done all kinds of schtuff for the house....I hope.
We got all up to 53F today, in the cloud and partial sun...
Chief, Jack: We are kind of in the same boat here..no open fires and such...paper bag time for sure here..but we did this here for years now. As far as I am concerned we mulch ours...once we finish playing in it...lol!

SPManJeffrey, does that Baldwin NYC diesel in your picture have the right kind of trucks? I don't know, I'm just asking. I know the 6 axle units had a different style naturally. I saw some of them when I was a kid on the old original Norfolk and Southern Railway but don't think they bought any 4 axle units.
It's a four axle switcher but I did change out the trucks on it with a pair from a Proto FA1. You can see the difference in the photos below.

Off to TTOS train meet this morning.
Don, good luck on the steamer today.

Nothing is predictable in sports. The Tiger pitcher is considered the best in the league. At age 21 they might give your guy the VIP award though.
No leaf burning allowed here. Can't rake them into the street either. They have to be bagged in those giant paper bags, no plastic. I don't get knee deep in leaves so I just chop them up with the lawn mower..S.J.
Good Sunday morning everyone!
Cloudy and wet today. Yesterday was a great day for yard work and plenty was done before a family party for my son who turned 25 yesterday. Normally the birthday child gets to choose which restaurant to eat and I take the family out for dinner, but he chose hamburgers on the grill. Fine by me, whatever he wants.
Laz and Chuck - Francona seems to be a good choice, nice guy. But ownership need to give him the right players for them to compete.
RI Jack - I will be sending you a Yankees Fan Club application in the mail this week. With the form will be a hat and a Thurman Munson jersey. I hope you wear it and enjoy it.
HudsonJohn - When you talked with your financial planner this week, I was curious as to what advice my sister gave you?
Banks - Sorry to hear about your lose. We all go through this from time to time. And that's what will heal you, time.
JoeD - Game 1 tonight. 6:00 in Fifedog's neck of the wood's. Let the games begin.
SJ - There's a lot of talk here in Jersey about the MVP race between Cabrera (who I think should win) and a Jersey kid Trout. He's from Vineland NJ and is 21. He had a great year but my best argument is that Cabrera won the Triple Crown. I guess a tie would be ok too. Your thoughts?

RockIsland52 blownout cylinderGood Morning!! Another fine morning to be had in our wonderful neck of the woods. The colours are just starting to peak out up here for our Thanksgiving weekend, which means that we are seeing a lot of yellows and reds and other such bright coloured leaves....I'm looking forward to walking through all kinds of leaves here BOC......when I was a kid leaves were not a hassle. They were a precious gift from above. They were an exciting passage of the season leading up to Halloween and Thanksgiving. Their presence meant family gatherings when everyone would be out moving the leaves to organized piles for supervised burning and play. I remember the mesmerizing essence of the smoke and the hours spent "together" on those Fall weekends. Alas, now we folks have burning bans, electronic distractions, or are just to busy to stop and smell the smoke. The good old days are gone. And the leaves burning is just another fond memory. Jack

In Roseyville we have an open fire ban. Can do grills and open fire pits only. One female Commissioner caused so much "noise" that everyone gave in and voted it in. One of those, "one person causes problems for all". A retired guy in her neighborhood burned something every day. Instead of address the probleming [she did not want to disturb him as he was long time resident and big in the Church ], she went this way. Now we the residents [not in our taxes so we can deduct] have to pay for street pickup of yard waste.

Hi GUYZ,
49 here and rainy day today. Gotta go take dog for second walk now. Making apple crisp this afternoon and laundry. Got another part of the yarden dug and put in compost. Only have to pull out tomatoes and peppers yet then dig that under and compost. Gotta take out pumps from ponds next weekend, and close down ponds.
BLOWNOUT, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! up there in the Great White North.
CHUCK, BIG TRIBE NEWS!!!! We got a new manager in TERRY FRANCONA. He's a JACK reject from Boston so I don't know if thats gonna work?
Stay frosty my friends,

Went to my parents place for breakfast this morning. Scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy. Came back home and vacuumed the dust out of the heater and tested it. It's working OK. Haven't required it's services yet. Weather guesser says the coolest night this coming week will be in the high forties. Shouldn't even need the heater unless we get a good north wind off the lake. Projected forecast says 10mph so that shouldn't be a problem. No heat on so far and it's a nice 70° in here. It's 50° outside with 16mph ENE gusts.

It's 42, didn't go down to freezing, stayed cloudy. No sled team yet. Chief better be nice, us yank's just might send you a special present before next spring arrives. Yesterday was a good day for my Fav football teams and the Tigers won the first playoff game But, they used their best pitcher so only time will tell how it will end...S.J.

Good Morning,
Had a great day yesterday, did well. Did some wiring planning also. Want to optimize the use of wal worts and eliminate some, also have more flexibility with lighting. Adding some of the 4.5v 100 ma lights for accent, and also inside facades.
Off to day to see if I can manage the engine without creating any incidents. Should be able to I'm certain. AND its not going to be so hot.
Hope everyone has a great day! Take Care and God Bless

Morning. Yankee invasion of cool air and rain. Got lots of tomatoes this am before the rain. Turnips growing. Off to lake house tomorrow AM to take Fred to the range to shoot his rifles. Back Tues. around noon.
Now you ask what happened to the range you had at the lease in Roseyville. Here is the long awaited story. Grandson-in-law of the lady kept raising h*** about shoot and damaging land by putting lead in the dam. On Labor Day, Jaysen shot his rifle 6 times to zero. Guy came down there cussing and raising h***. Called me. Told him to shove it. His FIL called and I told him his SIL's actions. He denied it and parts of our recent conversation. Told him it was his. Took all our cables, poles and shooting range away. GSIL put up his own cables [which you can lift up and drive right under. No cable on the back side [he does not know the property boundries]. Property is already growing up and I'm sure pond will got to pot too. Sad. GSIL has already had a run in with my Town Board. All Commissioners are mad at him. Sad such a nice place will go bad. I was tired of putting up with him and not owning it. I did get a new pistol range from a guy in edge of Town. May result in a rifle range later.
Big thunder out side!!!!!! with cool winds.
Have a great week.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cloudy 46 degrees. Going up to 50 today with a low tonite of 35.
Today is an easy day. I have a small errand to run and a few chores to do. Then, I will relax and watch the Nascar race from Talladega.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck
Good morning. It's 48° headed to a high of 62. Humidity is 92%. It'll be mostly cloudy.Nothing particular on the agenda today, just whatever I get around to doing. I have a throbbing pain in my left ankle that's really bugging me. Bone pain isn't fun. Darn medicine side effect. There are several I take that can cause it so it's difficult to lock it down to a particular one. Oh well, it'll stop eventually. I removed the SP F7 body from the Mantua dummy chassis and put it on a powered Athearn clone chassis, a cut down Proto or Stewart. It has a Bachmann decoder so it's slow on startup but it runs smooth and picks up speed quickly. I'll have to modify the mounting slots on the sides of the body as they don't go back quite far enough. That's an easy fix.
Good night [morning]. Busy day. Main thing was Box got uplights under front windows like the house. Looks great.
SJ, I hear barking and howling. Think the dogs are ready for a sled ride.
Reclinerized in front of TV. TWC came and replaced the cable box. It was the DVR one so lost all my recorded shows again. Wifey lost all her Christmas Movies. Took a while for the to reprogram all the shows I record. Now all OK.
Took David [David and Jeanie own Hunters Haven] and boys to Buffaloe Wild Wings for dinner. Jeanie ["adopted" daughter] is having girls weekend at their beach house. David hit a deer with big Dodge Pickup on the way home.
Mirra, our cat sounds like the rest. She is an indoor and outdoor cat. No litter box.
My pickup is a 97 Silverado 3 door. Great paint and runs great. 135 K and replaced battery, alternator, front hubs/ rotors on last brake job and about it. Runs strong as original 350. Does drink a little gas but that is because gas is not as good a quality as in the late 90's. Always has had synthetic oil.
Sleep tight.
Good Morning!!
Right now, current temperature is 36F going to a low of 34F....clear night skies ..high later today at 54F...
Today is going to be a rather slow one up here, as our usual coffee klatch crew is meeting here rather than at the diner...have a good day!!
rtraincollector I put together my portable fireplace for the den it looks real nice when on. ( turned the fake fire on not the heat lol)

RT, We lit our first real fire in the fireplace tonight. Very nice, warmed up the place good.
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 50s eventually. I have now been to the "Promised Land" and it indeed is a land flowing with milk and honey. "My" soccer boys won the sectional title today 2-0!!!!!!!!! They got two goals in the first half and made the score hold up. After the game was over, I rang the cowbell long and loud. After the team gathered for "official" pictures they invited me to pose with them as well and hold the trophy. It is so SWEET!!!!!!! Maybe next to the wedding day and births of children and grandchildren, this is the best day of my life. I also reffed 3 youth games today as well. It is a good tired. TBIL and buckle your seat belts as there will be barrel rolls aplenty. Banks, I do want to express condolences on your loss. I hope everyone has a good day.
Paid $3.29 9/10 about a week ago at my normal station but its back up to $3.37 9/10 today it jumps up and down as its having a mini price war with 2 smaller stations near by. they stay about 1 cent more as there easier to access than my normal station.
Well got my williams Reading SD-45 in today its new in box actually its in a sealed shipping box and also got my EF-4 Rectifier (Norfolk and western) in today also ( same package) its also New in shipping box unopened. Bought them at a deal to where I will put them back up on ebay to resell that was the idea of it when I bought them.
The G scale train set Circus which I bought the other week I bought it to resell and sold it today so that was good. Getting time of year to put my for sale items up not much this year as most I plan to keep now. Not sure about the santa- fe F-3 units I bought as they look nice on the shelf where the southern where ( sent them out to be serviced) Need to put up like 2 more shelves on the one wall and then later we will see about the other wall I plan on using. have like 4 shelves already. That will be nice. I put together my portable fireplace for the den it looks real nice when on. ( turned the fake fire on not the heat lol)
still need to find my soldering gun and solder so I can remove old cord and attach new cord to the zw and then test it. I wouldn't even try to test it the way the old cord was.
Not much else going on waiting to see if the tardis crew show up tonight been a while since I tried to catch it. Hope all have a good sunday I plan to sleep in some ( probably about 8 lol 5:30 is my usual so 8 is sleeping in for me lol)
