Good morning. Great weather we have here if you're a duck! Temp: 72°. Humidity 100%. Rainfall 0.07" since 12am. Mostly cloudy. Wind gusts 15 mph ESE.No outdoor activity planned today. I'm not into water sports. It looks like the wet weather is moving out.Today I'll likely make some small changes on the wall plates for the grain elevator or I may leave it like it is.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cold and sunny 46 degrees. Going up to 76 today with sunshine.
Today is an easy day. I have a few chores to do and then I will work on a train repair. I have to replace the truck sides on the older Trainmaster. They arrived the other day from Williams. It fell off the train table onto the carpeted basement floor and broke both sides of the rear truck. No other damage.
Indians seem to be doing better. Lost last night but put up a good fight. I like Alomar as manager.
Nascar race today.

Mornin' boys. Sunny & 52 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Not much going on today. Shift party this afternoon. Was at a family gathering yesterday, at a home near the CSX Philly mainline. Everytime a train blew its horn for a nearby crossing, my 10-month-old grandson's head snapped to in attention. Yeah...he gets it.
It's a good time to be a sports fan in Baltimore.

Good night all. Busy rainy day until 3. Rained all day and into the night [10% chance from middle morning till tonight ]. Did video pormotions early this AM. Then went to the store [Hunters Haven]. Found out last night brake lights on Chevy pickup were not working. Dropped it off at the repair shop next to the store. Lucky. Only the brake light switch had been "knocked" out of alignment. ???? Came home and watched TV with Wifey. She cooked homemade chilly. Was nice and spicy but I added Tobasco. Gooood
Good job Jeffrey.
Good news on Tyler and still prayers. Also prayers for John's Mom.

Great great news on Tyler and good luck on the job, Spanky! Glad to hear your Mom is doing better, John. Prayers for batteries, healing, and for all our intentions. Mom is doing well, she did have some nausea for a couple days, but today she was eating well. Two weeks until her next treatment - she can't wait to be done with it all.
Pretty good day today. I did a little work on the bathroom project, but when I got ready to do some assembly I found I was missing a 3/4 to 1/2 reducer piece as well as SOLDER. Pretty hard to make it stick by willpower alone! Went to HD with my son after dinner tonight and got the stuff we need, so should be able to finish that project tomorrow anyway. We do plan to go see that Hotel Transylvania movie, though - it looks like fun!
TARDIS is ready and we have banilla plus chocolate chip cookies, so let's go!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Well I've been working on the elevator project off and on today. Printed up three wall plates just to see how it would look. Lots of work to do on that yet. My work area is a disaster area! It's been raining all day, sometimes just a sprinkle, other times coming down in buckets. Radar shows more nasty stuff on the way. Rain chance tonight is 100%, tomorrow 90%. In plain language, wet!Powers been out several times today. At least today had a reason. Over the last week the power has gone out more than two dozen times and never for long, just a few seconds to a minute then back on so it can work on ruining ac units and fridges. They don't like that on and off stuff one bit and neither do I.Well it's time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
Good evening all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s. A beautiful day for soccer, and I was finally able to pull off a "triple" today. I watched "my" soccer girls (they lost 4-0), then I reffed 2 U-10 games, and then I "played" in a coaches/Refs game after all that. So I watched, reffed and played soccer all in one day. Then I came home and mowed the yard in two hours. I think I am tired. A sad note. One of "my" dear soccer girls lost her dad in a motorcycle accident Friday. Puts the whole concept of sport in a different perspective. He was only 53. Bummer. To all those with spouses, significant others, and even "friends with benefits", hug them once extra as you never know what life will deal you.
I do truly appreciate this forum and all who populate it. Sometimes I do not say that enough, but even when I am away, I do think of all who are here. Thanks for the memories and hopefully we will all many more to enjoy.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

SP RAY is probably going crazy right now trying to figure out how you are going to clean your grill after cooking all of that chicken. He's going to try to blame you if his upcoming test results don't meet his Doc's approval. Spanky, HudsonJ, Banks, MikeC, Brutus, and Ray........prayers continue. Jack Jack, you would be proud of me. My grill is still dirty from the last time I used it and that was two weeks ago. I have been just wire brushing the grill when it is still hot and that's all. Grease pan doesn't look that bad yet. dbaker48 Good Evening! DJ, Congratulations on the news for Tyler! Glad things falling in place for Corey as well. Ray, Bob plans on putting down "Hemosote" for sound dampening, then the carpet covering as an alternative to detailed scenery. Cost of the carpeting he was looking at was $12 to $14 per sq ft. I asked him if he was sure it was sq foot and he said yes. I think we are on a hold for awhile, I believe he is trying to integrate Fasttrack and Ross on the same layout plan.. So will see what HE comes up with. Regarding your wiring, you know the saying, If its not broke, don't fix it. I found the information about Falstaff interesting, it was my Dad's favorite, tasted like soap to me. The only one I disliked more was Olympia. V8Vega Latest TV forcast Sat, 99 Sun. 101 Mon. 105 Tue. 106. Sure wasn't expecting a forecast like that!! Hope it stays up in your area! Sunday will be working and it will be the Steam Engine. Had hoped those hot days and steam were over. At lease Mon/Tues will be using the Goose, Need to get going, working a computer show tomorrow morning. (Knott's Day Off) So take care and stay healthy!

Don, running in DCS is fine as is but I seem to be running more and more conventional trains lately and that's why I'm missing having enough feeders. I"m afraid it's going to be hot all over for the next few days but Tuesday will be the hotest. Times forcast says 95 today, 102 Sun. 105 Mon. 107 Tues. I will have to camp out in an air condtioned mall or go to the beach if I go outside.
Prayers fot Tyler to get thorugh his chemo with as little difficulty as possible.
Think Fall and cool weather,
SPMan
Good morning. It's 72° with 100% humidity. There's more than a fair chance of rain. The high will be 82°.I don't think I'll be getting much done today. There's a heavy looking line of thunderstorms heading our way. It's showing up on the radar as heavy to severe. So looking like it's gonna get noisy and wet. The power has already gone off twice in the last twenty minutes. Just what I need when I'm trying to put together a descent looking structure wall in MSPaint. So in view of that it's looking like there will be no progress on the elevator project today.
55 and kinda sunny.
Tigers lost, they need the wins. They just can't come up with them when really needed. Charlie and another friend will be here this morning to chat awhile then we are headed over to Norm Cs house. It will be a big toy train day with our club members...S.J.
It is a foggy 50 degrees. Going up to 74 today with sunshine.
Today is a busy day. Wife has decided to grocery shop. I have some chores to do and a project to finish. Put groceries away, lunch and then a nice nap.
Indians won 3 in a row. New manager looks good.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Don
Well it rained in Saint Louis again, wish I could send some to you, Jimbo. After months of draught, we are getting caught up a little. We still need more rain, though.
Prayers for all our intentions and sick friends and family.
Work was hectic, but the fiscal year is now history - on to the next one! Stopped at McAllisters for dinner with the family and then went to Best Buy to get The Avengers and some new headphones for work. I keep breaking headphones at work - they get smashed and run over by chairs etc. So, I only buy the cheap ones.
Made a deal with a buddy and three of us will go to a rock concert next Friday - can't wait I haven't been to a rock concert in years and years!
Still can't find my new CTT, but it's somewhere in the house. I did get a new Trains magazine in the mail today.
Mike - hope things continue to improve. You are welcome to drive if you want, or just hang out in the cabin? Tardis is ready, 4 x 4, on the pad and launch is go. Banilla has been loaded
Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
59 degrees
As expected I had a goof off day. I did some laundry, played video slots, watched TV for awhile but not much there to hold my interest most times. No rain here its getting very dry. Banilla for the guys and I might just nap on the Tardis tonight..Sleepy.......S.J.
I did a test printing of part of a structure wall to see ahat adjustments I'll have to make. To me the windows look too big.
Home from the woods. Everything put up and showered. Starting to rain. Now to snack and rest with TV. Later
IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
Good morning all,
D.Baker, glad things are going well at Knott's on the Goose. You make a good spokesman for it. Hope they appreciate you. Sounds like Bob is making progress on the layout. I would guess the carpeting is to deaden the sound of the fastrack. Is that carpet price per sq ft or per sq yd? Speaking of wiring, that has to be the number one need for improvement on my layout. I originally wired everything to an old type V transformer with feeders all around and a common bus wire ground. When I got DCS and added the Z4000 transformer, I wired just to that but only have feeders in two places on my big loop on one track and only one place on the other. I suppose, I am getting some kind of feed through the old wires but they have to take a roundabout route and pass through the old transformer too I guess. It's probably a real mess. I have been told you should not wire two transformers to the same track also. I think I damaged some electronics with it once. I was lulled into a false sense of security when I started running DCS because of the high voltage (18-20 volts) that you use for DCS. Therefore the voltage drops from not enough feeders were overcome but when I run conventional trains, they really suffer from the same voltage drops.
We had a get together last night with three of us. My buddy who was on a three week driving vacation picked up a nice train set in Denver which was the MTH Railking Aerotrain like the one the U.P. ran to Las Vegas years ago. It had an aerodynamic looking engine with cars made from bus bodies with only two axles. The thing must have ridden rough but it makes a nice looking toy train. He got it for about half price at a sale.
Suppose to be real hot for several days starting this weekend. Hey! What happened to Autumn?
One of our Thursday night regular guys' wife has been diagnosed with lung cancer. They will have to remove one lower lobe of one lung. They are going crazy doing all the pre op test etc. She has poor kidney function as well which is problematic. Please keep her in your prayers as will I. My sister had the same thing done about three or four years ago and is doing very well now.
Got doctor appointment myself tomorrow. Not looking forward to good report on tryglycerides or choleserol etc. due to lack of excercise on these hot summer days and not eating right. Will probably have to get back on the straight and narrow. Also need to get some minor worries checked out about soreness on my right boob.
Jeffrey, good job on the silos. Coming along nicely!
later,
Good afternoon all,
It is cloudy and mild in SE Indiana. While things will never be normal in my household again, an event occurred last night that made me realize there is really nothing I can do about the situation. Consequently any future impact on my life witll be minimal at best, and it is time to move on. "My" soccer kids split last night with the boys winning 12-0 and the girls losing 6-0. I had plenty of players on my team and I did adquately ok, but we lost 7-2. Still it was a good night to be on the field. TBIL and I can drive. I have several rotations to make up so I will be pulling double shifts for awhile. I hope everyone has a good day,
