Time for me to call it a night. Got a doctor appointment in the morning so that's the morning shot. Lower radiator hose on the van is looking good. No leaks. Goes to show that if you do it right the first time you don't have to do it again. I had thought about wrapping the old hose with duct tape. Done that in the past with good results. The hose was too soft so I decided mot to. New was the best way to go. No layout work today but I did run a train for a little while. The GP7's and GP35 got a good run. See y'all sometime tomorrow.

Back from the cabin.  Nice weekend for getting some things done around the yard.  Way to windy to go on the lake, roughest I've seen it since November.

Took the kids out for a ride at the property this afternoon. Spotted some bear tracks, seems Ole' Bart is still in the area.

Happy birthday to the Chief! Happy B-DayBowGiftCake

Good morning. It's 80° and partly cloudy. The high will be 95°.

Got the doc appointment out of the way. Have to go back in two months. Learned the results of the lab work done before. The A1C count was much lower. 10.1 down to 7.2. Cholesterol is 81. My blood pressure is 129/78. Heart health great. Kidneys are in good shape. Looks like I'll be around for a while yet.

No plans for today. I may get some layout work in later. I have a Lenz 1014 type decoder that needs to go into a loco. It's just a matter of selecting one from the available candidates.

Good afternoon guys,

Happy Birthday Chief. Happy B-Day Happy B-Day   Cake    DID you ever get delivery of that dead possum or did your mailman steal it for himself?

BlownoutCyl hang in there man. Angel

DougM I must have been too early. It was about 9:20pm our time?? Confused

Got a little sleep last night and over slept till I heard Jim’s truck running in his drive around 8:00am so I shot out of bed and we got 3 more loads of gravel. Six more and we are done. We are at 121 ton to date. The lane is looking much better.

We keep waiting for our neighbors on the lane to come out with their hands full of money and words of thanks for the improvements but not to be I guess. Laugh

Well I am going to take a muscle relaxer and see if that helps. Zzz

Have a good day guys.

Hey guys, a rare mid day apperance for me!!

CakeHappy B-Day Chief!!!  Make sure the Rosyville FD is ready with their hand pumper......

LAZ - Congas on the soon to be retirement!!!

Dennis - saw that you may be leaving soon----good luck and safe travels & congas!!

Angel for BoC and anyone else I've missed.....we are a chatty bunch........

Not much going on just work and such, been raining since yesterday afternoon.

Princess is gone for a month and Daddy isn't sure how to handle the peace and quiet.  My gasoline bill will be much cheaper this mont for sure.  Fortunately, her Mom is going to give her more driving lessons.  Supposidly, she will be driving to Daytona (yesterday).  I haven't heard from her since yesterday, but I'm sure all is well.  It darn sure BETTER BE!!!!!!! Smile, Wink & Grin

Went to a Camden and Amboy Historical group meeting on Friday and it was very interesting.  A 180th anniversary celebration of the C&A through town will be held in October, hence my interest.  I'm awaiting an email on the application to join the group.  After the meeting, we were treated to a presentation of AMTRAKs vision on accessing new gateways into NYC.  It was very interesting and revealing to be sure.

That's all from the Capitol City .... I'll check back soon!

Good afternoon all,

Happy birthday, Chief!!!!  Best wishes for many more such celebrations.  It is partly cloudy and muggy in SE Indiana with temps in the 70s.  Nothing new going on.  Work is quiet.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Jeffrey, just noticed today that you have been using the new avatar.  Looks a lot more clear than the old one.  This must be the same as the full size photo you posted the other day.  Congratulations on your good medical report.  I have an appointment with my regular doctor coming up on Wednesday.  My Triglycerides have been too high in the past.  I  have doubled up on medication and have been walking more this time so I hope it is better.  You had a great number on cholesterol.

Picked up grandson from High School today account his mother was visiting his cousin at UCLA medical center who injured his knee and leg.   Possible surgery on Thursday.

Ran trains a little this morning.  Tried out my new Southern GP9 shell on a Williams chasis today and put it in the consist with WBB A-B-B-A F3 Norfolk Southern set for extra power to pull all those dummy F units and a 6 car passenger train.  They run great together.

Haven't heard anything from D.Baker and jefelectric John today.  Imagine they are taking in a lot of Southern California things.  Nice weather for it.

later,

Ray

Started using the new avatar yesterday. I simply popped the full size photo into it and voila. My cholesterol numbers have always been low. I usually avoid many fried foods but when I'm at my parents place that's hard to do. My father will fry most anything. Walking is a good way to get some exercise if you can do it. That's very difficult for me. Walking, running and jumping exercises are taboo for me. Pushups are difficult as well. Many standing exercises I can do as well as many sitting ones though getting up from sitting on the floor can be tricky. Exercises that require me to look up are done while sitting or leaning against a wall as I become severely disoriented and dizzy when I look up or close my eyes for that matter. It's a problem I've had for many years. I have emergency lights in my trailer that come on in the event of a power failure so I have some light and I keep flashlights and electric lanterns within easy reach just in case. I have two within three feet of me right now and  I have a key chain LED light in my pocket. I hope you don't have such a problem.

Good evening all!

Not much going on tonight, seldom is when you get home at 9:00. Got burned last night on a Wide Gauge set from the 1920's. In the last 7 seconds it jumped $200. I was in that mix but not enough.

Chief - Happy Birthday and many more! Happy B-Day

Blownout - Be strong.

SJ - Glad to hear things are going nice.

NJDevilRich - Not looking so good. Even on a 5 On 3 we can't score. Crying
