Thanks, We are very excited. As to visiting Japan, we shall see what itinerary they come up with. Some do have layovers in Japan, most in either Hong Kong, or Guangzhou. I told my wife that the city where our first daughter was from was known for its china as in the vases, etc. The city where our next two are from is known for its railroad history. When we went to the first's orphanage, we picked up a bunch of china, now for the second visit, I think we need to buy some trains.....didn't go over well

Good evening all,
It was cool in SE Indiana today. Spent most of it going thru my parent's photo albums so my sister and I can divvy them up. Got the new MTH catalogs as well as July TRAINS. SFHR and AJ did not do well in quals for Indy race in Detroit. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Gee Denis i agree with you got china first time trains this time sounds right to me

Prayers for surgery on Fife Princess and for healing and treatments for our friends.
Finally got caught up on the pot after a couple days - wowzers! Lots of stuff going on! Big congrats to Dennis and Laz is about done with paid work!
Today we went to a graduation lunch for my nephew - good smoked pork shoulder and smoked wings with bacon wrapped around them. Mom brought her potato salad too After, Char and I checked out showers for the basement. I have it set up for a 36 x 36, but she liked a 48 x 34 model. I think it would fit, as I have a little stub wall to narrow the space - could move it. Pain in the bu-tocks tho! We'll see. Guess I'll decide tomorrow or something.
TARDIS is ready - let's go, Mike!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Konnichiwa,
It is a very pleasant day weather-wise today. We had Sunday school and church this morning. We will spend the rest of the day relaxing. My next MBA class starts tomorrow so I will be cutting back on my sleep for the next few months. It’s now time to finish some leisurely reading before hitting the textbooks tomorrow.
Bob – If I had more time and knowhow I would probably do what you do as well. Right now I have my buying budget established as part of our monthly household budget as part of the hobbies expense. This has worked pretty well so far. I will buy some of the Vision line items once I retire and don’t have to move so much. Those are nice items which I don’t want to only display but have a permanent layout to run them on.
John – I know I will miss them one day too. That’s why I want to be involved as much as I can now.
Dennis – That is great news. If you end up with a layover in Japan please let me know.
Sayonara,
Joe

Hi guys, Wow I missed a day and there is a lot to catch up on. Been nice here on the North bluff. Neighbor Jim and I trimmed trees along the lane yesterday. It was nice and cool so a good day to work.. WOW what a pile. It went good because we used a lift to get up high so we should be good for a few years. I think I cracked a rib in the process. Very sore last night and still today. Chief, We can’t garden like that. The deer would have it all gone before it grew. Jeffery, Took a lot of nerve to post that mug shot. Nice Cat equipment. Dennis. Good news on getting the kids. Sounds like you had a nice getaway. SP Ray. Good to hear you are staying ahead of the "ailments" Brent, Cherish those moments while you can. They are gone before you know it. 8N, Hope you can post some pictures of those cars once you get some loads on them.

Laz, Don’t worry retirement grows on you,
Bob, thanks man,,,,,,Again.
DougM, Sounds like the kids have great summer jobs and you get to be rid of them at the same time. Could be fun.
Fife, funny how the help disappears when you need them. Prayers for the princess.
SJ, that is two more tomatoes than we have.
RT, good to see you have stayed out of trouble for the last two days.
BOC. Prayers for your sessions today.

Hi GUYZ,
52 here and another beauty of a day here. Did a 3 miler with the doggie this morning. Now a shower, laundry and then probably a goof off day. Went to nephews graduation party, then watch graduation on tv with MOM. Came home and watched part 2 of the HATFIELDs and MCCOYs, pretty good.
Stay frosty,
laz57
It's 65 and sunny, 75 for the day.
I'm sitting here eating store bought waffles, It's sure not like a granny breakfast. We had a large chat group last night, gave up trying to solve the worlds problems and just had a good ole chit-chat. Plans for today have not been made yet so I'll just wing it...S.J.

Morning. Sunny and low humidity. Concert in the park at 4:30 [I have to be there for the welcome ]. Back from Sunday School. Now Hardees breakfast.
Kev, no deer. They stay outside the fence. Strange. Only had two or three jump inside over 25 years of garden there. Raid neighbor's garden on the other side.
Have a good one.
Chief, We put the tomatoes inside the rake. Makes it hard for the deer to get at and some chicken wire around the outside keeps the rabbits out. Here is that grain drill I got the wife last fall. Now dressed out with flowers. Should fill in nicely.

Good morning, well getting close to noon here. It's 82° and partly cloudy. The high will be 92° and it'll be mostly sunny. With the construction equipment I got yesterday I now have four excavators and five bulldozers (three Cat). Anybody got an extreme home makeover to be done? I already have a flatcar with an excavator and dozer on it. Guess it's time to make up another one. No plans for today.
Good morning all, just a quick note as I'm getting ready for church.
Jeffrey, your real picture looks a lot better than the avatar and the license as well. The avatar makes you look a lot older. Anyway, nice to connect a name and a face.
Went to train sale yesterday at local hobby shop. Thought it was a liquidation sale but turned out to be getting rid of junk sale. Big let down after all the hype they did. I did pick up a couple of like new GP9 shells. One for Seaboard and one for Southern. Fits Lionel or Williams geeps.
Had a visit from one of my friends in the morning after the sale. We ran trains and had lunch at my house.
D.Baker and his friend Bob came by in the afternoon and brought Don's house guests who is forum member jefelectric (John). It was pretty hot in the garage by that time but I had an exaust fan going in the back window. Don says, us older guys can't take the heat. I have news for him, thats not all we can't take. It was a real pleasure meeting John from Pennsylvania. He is a real gentlemen. Hope he has a nice visit out here and that Don doesn't wear him out with sight seeing. We ran trains for a while in spite of the hot weather and I almost put my MTH N&W class J steam engine through an open drawbridge but fortunately John caught it in time. I was demonstrating two types of movable bridges for John but this was not what I had in mind.
My DIL nephew had some kind of accident at UCLA last week and injured his knee severely which will require surgery I hear. He was due to take his finals next week so the parents are trying to find out what can be done about that. He is in the band and is in his freshman year. I don't know if the accident had anything to do with the band or not.
Have rediscovered an old friend to help my tummy. Buttermilk! I love it.
Might go out to eat with church friends tonight. Figure I can disassemble a chicken *** sandwich and have it with steamed rice instead of french fries and maybe a small salad. I think I can handle that.
Got to run,
Ray

Kev, some of my matters grow 7 to 8 feet tall. Your rake is too low.
Off to concert in the Park. Got to give welcome. Had wanted to do some Box work. Had to stay "clean" so I could be ready to go.
Later.
Laz --
It's kinda funny about that Old Milwaukee quart, I was at a gas station looking for a bottled water and saw that lonely quart and thought of your passion for Old Mils and trains so I knew immediately I had to have it for the pic. I hadn't seen one of those for years and it just made me chuckle, the beer wasn't bad either
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
Good Afternoon...
Everything be up and all sunny now..after dull dull dull and dribbly for most of the day
Had some friends pop over for a few and chatted with neighbour about newish road project that is being discussed..again

OUCH!!!! Jeffery, 52 Just apuppy dog. How is this for a mug shot? Wifey caught me getting back from some Wrabbit hunting. My ribs are hurting bad today. I must of pulled or broke something. Chief, Those are before and after pictures of the tomato plants, we force them down into the rake, but they will fill out. Forest Clay does not help our growing I must say.

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s. Just finished a very long weekend. Won't go into details, but it was NOT relaxing at all. Only good aspects were going thru parents' albums and seeing Mike Conway get a top 10 for AJ at Detroit. Also balanced checkbook after 3 months of neglect. Balance still does not look right, but I can not do anything until next statement. Will just have to see what happens. Not much else going on. TBIL and I can drive, but have an artery open so I do a direct line for the Old Mils as I will need quite a few for tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Haven't read since Thur (last day of May). At 30 post's per day you better not miss ONE DAY!
