Good morning all,
It is rainy in SE Indiana with temps in the 70s. Quiet night at home again. Did some errands and took it easy after that. 20 year old John Deere walk-behind was oiled up and gassed up last night after changing plug and filter. Two yanks on the starter cord and it runs like a champ. Sometimes life is good. Had to chase some neighbor kids out of the yard last night. One was up in the apple tree. Could see him falling and his parents suing if he got hurt. Could be an interesting summer or they could be gone the next week as they rent in a duplex next to us that sees people come and leave frequently. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East". TBIL and I can drive again. Watch out if AJ's team ever wins again. Red, white, and blue ABC Supply stickers will be all over the place as well as number 14s everywhere. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....

Today is a busy day. I have an errand to run and the usual chores around the house. I will be busy until lunchtime. A nap this afternoon.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Morning all. Another pretty day. Some showers may interrupt the DWI check point tonight. Wifey going shopping while I do interviews. Working on Box this afternoon so she had better be quite and not give chores. [ = me ]
BASEBALL the true American sport.
Speaking of sports, go OSU.
Again, eating dinner with Banks [always with the great seafood].
LAZ, hope trout catching is better than deer killing.
Have a great weekend.
Good Morning
Supposed to get up to 2" of white stuff tonight ...back to winter...
Spent the day yesterday getting a whole bunch of stuff and laying in supplies for Audrey and myself's 35th anniversary....had to go sneaking around the house to do this...it was fun..she still does not realize what is coming up yet......or maybe she does....
As for my friend, he is going to released...Sunday, apparently. So we are going to be having some people preparing the welcome home for him...with no salt added...

Mornin' FellasNot much going on around here other than it is end of month and the users seem to have forgotten EVERYTHING...---Brutus - we are thinking about starting another adoption when The Princess turns 1. This court date is to finalized her adoption, it is really just a formality where the court crosses the Ts and dots the Is. But you can't get a corrected birth certificate until this takes place and you can't get a SSN card till the BC is updated, and you can't claim the adoption expenses until ALL of this takes place...
Good morning. It's 62° and cloudy. The high will be 80° and there's a 30% chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms.Well last night I brought out an F3 A/B set that's been giving me a problem. Both have Bachmann decoders. The A unit was running just fine. The B unit however while it would run the motor would rev way too high even at slow speeds and just spin the wheels as it tried to push the A unit. I pulled the decoder and tested it. Bad motor circuit. It knows only two speeds. Dead stop and pedal to the metal. Changed it out with a good one and now the set runs like it's supposed to. Fortunately it didn't damage the motor. Changing out an Athearn motor in a Stewart chassis is NOT how I like to spend my day.Speaking of things to do, it's come that time to pay bills again. So I'll take care of those that I can here then go to town to pay those others. Also0 need to get groceries and gas. That last is likely to be 3/4's of a $100 bill! And people wonder why I don't go anywhere!

dbaker/SPMan - Pics. Where are the pics of this recent project..?
Banks - If we don't get the property we had bid on, I think Wifey will settle for a newer cottage instead (or so I hope). Lots of homes on the market in the region.
dwiemer - RAILS & SAILS. I'm thinking coffee table book. Actually, June 12-13 will be kinda exciting right outside of my marina, as the tall ships will be coming up the bay for the 1812 Celebration. The best place to railfan from the sea around here is Havre de Grace.
Lunchtime,
Fife: Rails & Sails, I like that.
Blownout: congrats on the 35th anniversary. Good news about your friend.
Laz: 3 weeks untio the group picture. I should be there.
SJ: It seems that the Chief eats real good. I just had some Brooklyn style pizza for lunch.

Howdy Guys, Well been doing last minute stuff before I leave. Went to Joliet for some training on how to enter my time so I can get paid only to find out they never installed the software on my Laptop….... you think maybe by design? Sure way to get me to re-retire. So I did an expense book for the last two weeks travel and I am now had enough. Thanks again guys for the prayers and well wishes for Katie. She seems to be holding her own on all of this and I am glad it is making her a stronger person in the long haul. I guess she got the SS and IRS things straightened out with her old place of employment. She told me that she is still on good terms with her old boss so I am sure that helped her a lot. The unemployment is applied for so hope it all works out. That will help bridge the gap and it is good that she gets something extra for the baby. I told her that collecting unemployment is not something to be ashamed of because she did, after all work for it. She is working on her resume and doing some networking today. Brutus glad to hear that Char is doing better and your dad will be okay.

Got the bill paying and buying gas done. The gas wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. $52 for fourteen gallons and a bit for regular. Forked out $95 on groceries. Have less than $30 left. Oh well, easy come, easy go. Traffic in town was really tied up on the main drag. A largish Buick sedan had rear-ended an equally largish Chevy wagon effectively reducing the two northbound lanes to one lane. And naturally everyone going past had to slow to a crawl to rubberneck the scene. The guy in front of me kept stopping every foot or so and asking stupid questions. So much so the cops were getting ticked off with him and I was about ready to bulldoze him off the road. He seemed to get the message that he wasn't wanted there and finally moved on. What a flippin' circus! After I got my groceries I made my exit from town through the Lees Hills residential area. If they didn't like the noise that's just too bad. I wasn't going to slow roast in traffic.
Evening all. Off for the weekend TGIF
Okay enough with happy its friday afternoon lol
Nothing planned at the moment for the weekend but sure the other half will come up with something.

Ohayō,
Last night we had a pizza night and watched some Veggie Tales. I did not go to bed late as I was finishing schoolwork. I was up a little early this morning since the youngest decided he wanted to wake up early. The forecast called for some rain today but right now it is very nice outside and only partly cloudy. We don’t have much planned for today; I did not plan anything since rain was in the forecast. I have minor chores to take care of but if the day continues to look nice I will have to do something with the kids outside. The wife will be doing some shopping later at an Asian bazaar/flea market on base.
Dennis – I did not read that article. What is preventing the information flow to the public?
Brutus – I’m glad your father is okay and that Char is feeling better.
Chuck – Did you not watch the Athletics-Mariners games which were played here in Japan? They were regular season games and very entertaining. Of course, you probably would have had to wake up at 0500 to watch them.
Sayonara,
Joe
38 now, some rain, thunder and hail this afternoon but nothing violent. I'm just looking at the screen as I have no breaking news tonight..i will just wait for the chat....S.J.
Well all seems fine and were back able to post I see as sj has. Evening all not much going on. Just been relaxing and playing with some engines.
Hope all have a good weekend. Talk to you all later
Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
Good evening all,
Getting behind on the forum again.
Great news about my brothers heart catherization today. They found no blockages at all. His arteries are clear. The only thing they found was a thickening of the heart muscle which they say can be treated with medicine. He is 71 and the doctor said he had the veins of a 20 year old. Thanks for the prayers.
Ran trains for a while today and tinkered with the trains a little. Changed a couple of tires too. I don't have any pictures of the layout but maybe Don will put them on. He took a few but I have to warn you, I was not wearing a tuxedo. My walking shorts look like droopy drawers in the pics. Maybe I can get my son to help me get some photos of the project.
Got to get ready for dinner now.
later,
Ray

Tonight was dinner out at Fudruckers and then haircuts night. Sorry for the miscommunication, SJ - thought I mentioned it last night? We got home and I took a little while to teach my son to shave as he has needed it for a while. First time, so I mostly did it for him and told him next week he can show me how he does on his own, with a little supervision. I think he wants it to come in thicker, but that will take some time. The mustache was actually coming along nicely, but a little whispy.
Char wants to fix her laptop and also get a new one, pass this one down to our daughter. Okay - sounds like train money to me
Congrats on anniversaries and parties and prayers for family and friends.
TARDIS is ready so we'll come back and get everyone with the wayback circuit - TTFN!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Evenin' All.
Good day at the museum today after overcoming some early DCS issues. Fairly steady crowd all day, nothing to rave about numbers wise just a good steady volume. Back tomorrow for a Kid's Club Fun Run.
Ray, Good news on your brother.
Kev, With all those free meals the Chief gets probably does save on the grocery bill but the tailoring fees and new duds for the expanding waistline probably makes up for it.
Should be an interesting game tomorrow night, UK & Louisville. Go Cats !!!!!!
Almost beddy-bye time, up early in the morning.
Pre-surgery physical, cataracts, went well this morning. Good to go. She even got a chuckle out of my weed pulling body surfing comment when she checked out my still extremely sore ribs.

DWI checkpoint over due rain. 5 DWI, tons of no licence, 8 revoked license and 1 drug charge. Bed time. Waiting for police car for ride to PD. This from cell.
Mornin' boys. A dark and damp 48 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Not for somebody who hit the big megaball in my county.
SPMan - Ummmm, hey pal, this is a droopy-drawer wearing bunch if you ever met'em
Chief - For a small hamlet, that's a pretty good grab. Those numbers tell me that it's probably not a good idea to drive after dark through Roseyville.
Morning all. Chief, glad to hear the bad guys getting off the roads. Hope folks learn their lesson.
Ray, good news on your brother in law. I am sure you are all quite relieved and ready to get back to normal. Joe, what typically happens is the industry and media jumps on something and projects an unrealistic image. They find a group who get behind it and say how much better it is than the old way. In most cases, it is not. When I first started, they said that angioplasty was going to do away with bypass surgery. Then stents came on the market and they were going to do away with the need for surgery, then drug elluding stents. To this end, the recent studies have shown that the survival rate is better for patients having surgery over stents. Now, if I had a non critical blockage that was causing pain, sure, I would opt for a stent. But in a critical area, I believe I would be better served with surgical repair. Also, if someone's condition was too severe that they would not survive surgery, then stents would be called for.
Been raining for the past two days. Our son stayed over a friend's house last night. I will have to go fetch him before long. A few other honey dos and some scenery to get to.
God bless,
Dennis

It is a cold and damp 44 degrees. Loud storm last night. Going up to 60 today with more rain.
Today is a busy day. I have to run an errand this morning and the usual chores. I'll be busy until lunchtime. Maybe a nap later.
Yes, Joe, I watched the Athletics/Mariners game on TV. They played it in the afternoon here. Those fans in Japan really packed the stands. Lots of picture flashes. I got a kick out of all the Japanese ads on the walls.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
