Looking good Chief!  Yes

Heck looks biger than I think my first house was. That was 22'x44' with 9 rooms. Think about that. Surprise

Tks for the pictures now a skirt and inside you go. Thumbs Up

 Kev.

Saved all the skirting and track from old loacation.  It is set a lot lower here so have to cut off skirting.  Getting a new small deck kit to fit just under the sliding doors.  Saved the one from the old location for the back door.  Wifey has already got her landscaping plans for the front.  Now to get and bury the big electrical cable.  Then inside.  Take out walls except the utility room on the back corner [back door goes into it].  That will have the work bench and train "launch track".  Also want to use it for reloading ammo.  Got to take the ceiling off of the tongue grove and replace with thin plywood.  Now has spacklin and coming down.  Any one need kitchen cabinets, double sink, electric stove, washer, dryer, toilet, lavatory, shower and hot water heater [big one]?  Keeping side-by-side big frig for lake house extra.

WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!  Friday 13th is usually a good luck day for me.

Good luck, the big JD pulled the truck and box right into the spot.

Bad luck.  The hitch [hydrolic moves up and down] on the truck was too low and grabbed the chain link fence and made a disaster.

Good luck, she is all tied down and ready for me to goto work on her.

Bad luck, it cost me $250 to repair the fence which I did not substract from his fee.  Also took from 10 AM until 5 PM to get it all back and fixed.

Now for Kev and Kev only.  Rest can not look.  The Box:

The Front facing house.

The Back
Tired.  Later.

Aloha. Paradise. TGIF. Snowed all day yesterday and all night, but there wasn't that much to clear this morning. Just 4 inches or so. Got in my wife's way all day, then got unexpected news from my retina doc, he wants to zap one of my eyes before he lets the cataracts get worked on. I had the other eye lasered to fix a hole in the retina a few years ago. Oh well, more surgery and everything gets pushed back. Could be worse.

I'm looking forward to skeet shooting in the wilds of northern Wisconsin tomorrow! First time out in years. Hope my eyes are un-dialated by then. Wink

I got this in the mail this morning. I picked it on another forum for $22. It's a Walthers GP9. It needed new couplers and is missing a horn. It ran OK on a test run.

Hi guys,

Well just got back from the dentist and my guess was correct, nothing less than a new crown will fix this broken tooth. Tongue Tied

So much for the train budget.  Angry Good thing is the INS will pay for 50% that is down from 100% 20 years ago. Indifferent

 Joe,

Looking forward to the pictures of the under bed train layout. I want to do something like that for the grandson so I will let you lead the way.

SJ,

I will see if I can ship you some of this weather. It will make Chief happy. Laugh

Jack, continued prayers for your buddy Frank. Good to see your post are getting back to normal.  Angel

Chief, now about some pictures of the BOX when you get it set?  Thumbs Up

Got to build a fire so the cat can be happy.  Huh?

Kev.

Morning All,

Got the Christmas Village down and put away, Old Glory is flying High and Proud. And even got stuff cleaned up some.

Was straightening out stuff in the train room, then came inside.  Realized I had left the layout turned on AFTER I had turned out the lights and locked everything.  Then went out and turned off the layout, looked at all the lights on the layout only.  Began to think it would be interesting to run some NIGHT Runs, using just the layout lights, and lights from the engines and cars.  I'm not talking about just running in circles but doing operation activities.  Going to give it at try.

GOOD LUCK ON THE MOVE TODAY, CHIEF

Morning all.  Getting ready to head in.  Been catching up on sleep.  Will try to do some layout work this weekend.  Our church has some big projects that are going to be kicking off this Sunday, so I am sure that will take most of the day.  Hope to get the work at home completed by Saturday.

Chief, we both met up with Dr John in Prattville.  Also, when we made that raid on York, remember when we caught a place flying the stars and bars?  That was unexpected.

Regarding the Lionmaster series, I have seen some great looking engines I'd like to add to my stable, but hard to justify right now(read that: SWMBO would kill me).

Have a blessed day,

Dennis

Konbanwa,

TGIF - well actually my Friday will be over in about 26 minutes.  We had a retirement ceremony for one of my troops today; 20 years of service and now back to civilian life for him.  I hope his adjustment is smooth.  Our office also played some volleyball this afternoon and the over-35 team won all the games again.  When will those younglings learn?  I plan to start building my older son's under-the-bed layout this weekend.  It will only be 42" x 73" but that is enough for a decent oval and some sidings.  I'll use FasTrack and I will place the track on some foam covered with grass/turf mats.  I plan to install handles along the side so he can easily pull it out and push it back in.  We decided to build Lego buildings for the layout; just about all of our regular buildings are in storage so it was an easy choice.  I'll take photos as it comes along.

Jack - We would have hung the planes from the ceiling as well but he likes to play with the planes too much.  They are hanging on little hooks so it's easy for him to take the planes off and put back when he's finished having his dogfights.

Tardis Crew - I may catch up with you guys tomorrow morning; Friday evening your time.

I'll pray for all those in need.

Sayonara,

Joe

Good morning. It's 32° and partly cloudy. The high is expected to be 48°.

Yesterday I left my fire fighting gear by the door of the chiefs office, so that's done. Today I need to do some cleanup work on the layout then see about adding some bushes and weeds to the junk yards.  Also have to see about getting the kitchen cleaned up a bit.

Good Morning

23 degrees. A dusting of snow, not enough for the dog sled. The NYC SD80 was only sold in a set so they are a little harder to find than the open stock ones. Any of the engines in that SD Lionmaster series are good runners.

Happy Friday the 13th...S.J.

Good Mornin' Ya'll From Wet Cape Ann Taxachuchusetts,

Dodged a shot from the snow late yesterday and overnight.  Points West and North of me were colder and were affected, but nothing too bad (6" ?).  I was able to talk the wifey out of our Thursday night dog training in NH as the fellow students up there emailed the roads were "terrible."  Roads were icy and there were a fair amount of accidents.  If you saw how folks drive up my way when the weather gets a tad sloppy, you would conclude they are outright oblivious and should have their drivers' licenses yanked.  No adjustment of speed to accommodate the conditions and driving rushed and distracted.  Last night I drove a mile to pick up some milk at a local convenience store about a mile from my house.  Wet and traficked 2 lane road with a 35mph speed limit, just rain, no ice (41 degrees).  A motorist had impaled his car on a tree about 10 feet off the road, totalled  Fire department, ambulance, police.  Turned my 1 mile drive home into 20 minutes of frustration.  Could have walked and gotten home 5 minutes sooner. Bang Head

Thank you each and all of you for your continued prayers for my buddy Frank.  He was transferred to a general room from CCU.

Progress continues, much better than expected each day.  He has a whole host of problems (heart, lungs, stroke-related issues, UTI, pneumonia, fluid retention, other things).  Informed me yesterday he's going home today and back to work on Monday.......yeah, right!!!  There is no sense arguing or even discussing anything with him as his doctor has been giving me the entire scoop daily and necessary steps going forward.  I'll let her do all of the "adjustments" of his expectations with her realistic game plan.  Keeping my mouth shut and just nodding my head in agreement with him, except reminding him he had one foot off the edge and the other on a bannana peel (in a coma and worsening last Friday and through last weekend.  Told him not even God nor the Devil want him and have jointly decided to leave him here on earth to continue torturing the rest of us.  Thumbs UpAngel

Charlie..........I was trying to protect your true identity and your reputation by calling you 'Mitch" in that picture with Don and the Chief, but my subtlety was a tad over the top.  You let the cat out of the bag.  Smile, Wink & Grin

Yorkies from the "Last Supper" picture.......it was very astute of you to have the waiter remove all of the beer bottles from the table before the picture was taken. Whistling

Later gang.

Wind blowing hard.  Front is getting here.  Suppose to drop 20 degrees in a few.  High tomorrow mid 40's if that.  BURRRR

8ntruck

Cloudy, windy and 20 today - a good proper January day, the likes of which would have good southerners like the Chief cowering in his house with three flanel shirts, a blanket and an Elmer Fudd hat on trying to keep warm.  I just buttoned the cuffs on my long sleeve shirt and thought that if it were another 5 degrees colder I might have to put some gloves on!

That is the truth.

I've been watching for Lionmaster SD80's on e-bay.  It is interesting how there are a bunch of Conrail versions out there at the moment, and not too long ago there were a bunch of NYC versions.  I'm kind of looking for one in CN livery.

Got several CN in full scale.  My first layout was all CN back in the early 70's to mid 80's.  All 027. Had to hand paint and decal most all of my rolling stock and hand painted and decaled all my engines [zebra striped].  Took hours but was fun back then.  All stored in tubs.

All for now.

Glad to see Charlie posting more.  I know he has more time now as the snow is so deep he has to stay in. Guess him and Sir J will be getting out the dog sleds tomorrow. Whistling

Yes, made it to Southern Californeyea.  Had a good visit with Dougsnotagrump.  First met Shake and Bake [Don Baker, we call him that because he is having an earth quake or is on fire] there in Indian Wells [still planning to make it out west to see him].  Made it Nawth West to Post Falls Idaho in January.  Snowed hard the whole time.  My rental was an all wheel drive.  Visited by Tim [Pigseye] Mitchell who use to post here.  He drove up like it was a sunny day in the summer.  Was visited by Jon Englehart and his lovely wife while in WI.  They drove to Cabela's to met me. [just might slip out to Ioway and visit them]  Fife and John F led a group to visit the big NS yard near Harrisburg and the Rock Bridge.  Got to meet the famous LAZ there along with Brent and Mitch.  Dennis W. in Savanah.  Use to go to Manchester HN to the home office.  If I ever go up again, I'm going to slip down to MA and surprise Jack.  Roy M showed up in Ft. Worth for a visit.  Took me to see his big club layout [now taken down] in Dallas.  Bob Nelson in Austin fed me at his home one night.  Too many times to Columbus OH. Confused  Missed seeing RT in Columbia a couple of times.  Several others that right now slip the mind.  The York visits are great as you get to visit with a lot of the gang like Charlie and Sir James that I have not made it up that far nawth to MI.

Off to bed.  Reclinerized too long.

Sleep tight.

Expecting a coating of grits.. I mean snow here in the morning.

Hopefully not enough to need the shovel. We are getting spoiled with how mild it has been up to this point.  I think my luck is running out.

Well, we got hit by freezing sleet and ice, then snow today.  It wasn't really as much as all that, but the weather was so cold and MODOT messed up, so highways were all terrible.  I had the day scheduled off to go to the eye thing with Char.  I had intended to go in to work for a couple hours, but when I heard about all the accidents, a fatality on my highway, etc - I just decided to take those hours I had on the books.  We did get her to the doc appt and they did their thing.  She said it involved several different computerized devices.  They did not have to use the medicine, so she was fine after the procedure, but I guess I was the insurance.

School is already cancelled for tomorrow also, but I have to get to work as I have a report to finish in the morning.

TARDIS is here, so let's get moving guys :)

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

That would be fine with me Chief? We can take a ride on the IL. river in my boat.

Good Evening

36 but fall is almost over. Winter is coming, late but it will come.

No snow yet but a little is expected overnight. Chief pour some instant grits under those wheels and you will have a rock hard driveway in just a short time. Temps are falling but Banilla still sounds good with chocolate syrup and peanuts. Waiting for the Tardis...S.J.
