Good evening Guys,

all of the train sets were sold and they only had 3 Menards cars left. On a good note got some smoking deals on Woodland Scenics Birch trees Waters Edge # TR3536 and Sun Kissed shade trees #TR3610. They list for $12.99 and were on sale for $7.99 so I got 6 sets, also had some LEMAX Ocean Display Mat 18"x48" on sale for $4.50 for my pond.
The strangest thing happened when we got home. I thought I heard a clatter it the basement and when I went seems one of the Tardis Train Crew landed on my train table. Don’t know which one of them it is because they are kind of small. I have a hunch it is SJ from the cane he is using. Only hope he is not lost or is bringing me gifts helping out Santa for the night. Can you guys help me ID this intruder?

Afternoon all. Merry and safe Christmas Eve to all you gentlemen, Sir J and RT. Cathy, boyfriend [nice guy. kind of rednecky but a good gun lover and owner] and Frankie came for lunch [fried chicken and eastern NC bar-be-que]. Opened presents and visited. Frankie's girlfriend and kids were busy but visited by IPhone [yes]. Youngest and Grandchildren are coming Wed. from Wilmington. I'll have two Christmas days.
Hope all who have Children and Grandchildren get together during the holidays. If you get a chance, post some photos on the pot. Got a neat stamp from the Buckeye. Grandson with train was the picture on the stamp.
Filling out the Home Depot survey. $5,000 gift card if you are winner. That would just about pay for my new layout materials in the box.
Now to In-laws for a thingy.
God bless.

Afternoon all!
Happy Christmas Eve and Merry Christmas for tomorrow! Put up some lights on the house today. The last 2 months have been extremely busy and just no time - compounded by the front walk replacement and much needed rain muddying up the front of the house. Cold enough the last couple of days to firm up the ground so out came the lights and ladder - SWMBO is pleased!
Jeffrey - to help you through the pain.
Fife - This is the first year in many that I have finished shopping prior to the 23rd/24th. The malls here are just too crowded but as you note the CITGOs are pretty accessable!
Jets not doing well against the Giants. Cowboys needed the Jets to win as the C'Boys are not capable of getting to the playoffs on their own.
Have a safe, festive, great Christmas Eve all!
Regards, Roy
Good morning. It's 41° and cloudy. The high will be 53° and there's a 30% chance of rain around noon increasing to 70% around 2:00 pm.Looks like it's gonna be another wet one today. I have a new shipment of Stoney Mountain flawed resin castings coming. I also found an HO Scale Mystery Machine (Scooby Doo) and snapped it up. Last night I HAD a $50 Visa gift card. It has less than $15 on it now. That and the $26 on the other gift card will be used for getting groceries at the end of the month. That'll give me some extra money to use elsewhere. I have to see one man about a couple of F3B dummy units and another man about a boxcar. You fellas know who you are. Nothing much planned for today. I didn't get much sleep last night, an hour or two and I have a raging headache. I'll be raiding the Aleve bottle shortly. The pain is about to drive me out of my mind. I'm out of meds due to my prescriptions being expired and I'm fresh out of doctors visits on my Medicaid. They'll be reset after the first of the year but until then it's not going to be pleasant. I'm already noticing problems with my blood pressure going up a bit and some discomfort concerning a prostate problem. Acid reflux, gall stone pain and diverticulitis are making themselves known again so a good nights sleep is going to be hard to come by. Can't wait to get started on more projects. They help take my mind off my medical problems for a while and keep me from going up the wall due to boredom. Being homebound consists largely of boredom if you don't have something to occupy your time.Future junkyard office:

Good morning
30 degrees and a shaker of snow over night. Should be gone soon. Better to give than receive! then I am truely blessed. The evening will be spent with Daughter and her inlaw's family, it has become a tradition since I no longer celebrate the 24th with liquid refreshment. Although I had lot's of fun those days. Christmas is different after the kids leave home. Everyone have a Merry Christmas....S.J.

HI GUYZ,
Leaving to go up to MOMs for Christmas and stay til Tuesday. Ran trains last nite ala JELECTRIC. I ran a buch of stuff I haven't ran in a few years. WOW was like Christmas morning putting those trains on the track and watching em roll again. Oh yea NO PILE UPs too!!!
FIFE watch your topknot out there with those people trying to buy thos Air Jordans. A wild bunch indeed.
SIR JAMES, they don't send you money because you'll just buy more trains with it. Or maybe GRANNY should send you late Christmas cards with wampum, say April to get you out of house and relocate you for a few days in YORK?
DENNIS hope your cold is better for CHRISTMAS?
TO ALL MY PALS ON THE FORUM,
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!Stay frosty,
laz57
PS take a walk outside tomorrow after your done feasting. It will make you feeling better, I will.
Konbanwa,
We had a nice dinner last night and I had my fill of sushi, miso soup, steak, calamari, and tempura vegetables. It was a great dinner and everybody enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the wife developed some sort of rash and I had to find Benadryl in a Japanese pharmacy. I succeeded thanks to the helpful hotel staff and kind Japanese people. We came home today around lunchtime and have been relaxing. The kids watched The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. They had never seen it before. I made shrimp scampi and baked tilapia for dinner tonight. I didn't do seven fishes since it was only the five of us and fish does not taste so good reheated the next day. I just brought in the "Santa" presents and it's almost midnight. I better get to bed or he'll skip me.
Jack – I’m glad we did not end up in Roseyville; I heard how they treat us Yanks down there. It’s nice to see your propaganda machine is paying dividends.
traindaddy1 – We lived in Hawaii for three years so I know all about warm Christmases.
SJ – Japan has been great so far. Maybe you should surprise Granny with a trip out here? On the Christmas cards: It’s better to give than receive. Or is Granny getting to the money first?
Doug – The ballet trip was a success as the princess had a great time. The people out here are very helpful and will go out of their way to assist someone.
SP Ray – I have eaten sushi many times; I started eating it when we lived in Hawaii. I will eat sushi in places that live near an ocean so it is fresh. I’m a little skeptical about eating in places that are extremely landlocked. However, some very nice restaurants do have the fish flown in right after it is caught. The Japanese perfected sushi and only use the freshest and best quality fish for it. It is absolutely safe out here.
RT – Stop typing on here so much and get to work – just kidding. I wish I could help you out with your upcoming layout projects. The photos were great.
Roy – Let me know how your CW-80 test goes.
Merry Christmas!
Joe
Morning. Fox on the run. Have a good one.
RT, I am going to have the SC SBI come take your keyboard away.

Aloha from a crisp and sunny Crystal Lake. Two services last night. Three today. I'm tired. But Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night (later on) Here's a link to my youngest's Christmas choir. Good morning and a Merry Christmas to everyone.
Quiet day here, having been banned from the kitchen, I am in the basement at the computer. Think I will put a few new trains on the layout, not new, but ones that have not been run for a while.
We will have most of the family here for dinner tomorrow, except for the ones that live out of state.
Enjoy the day tomorrow.
Morning all. Still trying to see through the fog of the crud. Trying to read up and stay on top of the pot, but it can be tough with as much posting as has been going on.
Fife, glad you are finally getting around to the shopping. Ours has been done for some time now, so it is just a few days of relaxing and watching all the nuts in the madness. I usually don't have it all done, but we narrowed our purchasing and it has been a lot easier.
RT, that was a nice package there! You can drive a few isles at WalMart and then take a nap.
Gotta run,
God Bless<Dennis

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold 28 degrees. Clear. Maybe we will see a little sunshine today at 48 degrees.
Today is a busy day. Errands to run and a lot of last minute things to do. Trying to work a date that the kids can come down. Their work schedules are mixed up.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Chuck
Fife.........I may see you out there in the jungle today. Bring your pistola and some extra ammo.
Morni -rt - Mornin' boys. Mornin' English in Fife (sounds like a swell place to live). Nibbled away at my Christmas list last night. Got a few folks done. Wifey is being "challenging" this season. She may wind up with the ol' light up plastic rose from CITGO. Surprisingly, wasn't too crazy at the mall last night. Things probably won't be that kind today. Tried to remember to wish each clerk Merry Christmas at the check out, and all but 1 lit up after I said it (and I'm guessing that doodle won't be at Saint Joe's for midnight mass...).
Brutus - Received a nice greeting today. Thank you, Sir.
laz/Bakeer - Thanks also.
Chief sent me a pic of his new transportation to and from the lake house. Seeing being re-elected he got a bonus and here what he bought for himself so he could travel in style.

Off to Pam's parents around 4.

SJ, don't forget to feed the dogs. If you don't feed them, they will not pull the sled good.
BTW: weather is extra warm and has turned dry [original forecast was rain for Christmas and cool].
Sleep tight and God bless.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
Evenin' All.
Ray, That looks like a great adaptation of "A Christmas Carol". I need to dig out my VHS copy of the version with Alastair Simms, it's an oldie but IMHO the best of the bunch.
Roy, Ain't none of them better than In-N-Out Burger, I hadn't had a Big Mac in heaven knows how long. The big problem is that one has almost my entire days alotment of sodium.
Off to the museum in the morning, was hoping someone would sign-up to run but alas nobody did. Oh well, gives me a chance to run the Christmas trains one more time.
Got somemore "honey do's" before calling it a nite and today was pretty busy, gas tank is gettin' low.
Catch ya'll tomorrow evening, between Christmas dinner preps.
P.S. May God bless.

Christmas came early at my sisters place since they'll be in north-west Texas for Christmas. I got a couple of Wal-Mart gift cards ($50 and $26), a bronze cane to replace my old Rosewood cane. I've only had it for close to thirty years now and it definitely looks it's age. Also got a Gillette men's face and body collection (no new body in it. Darn it!). A small box of shortbread cookies, a PM-Quad massage tool and a Christmas tree shaped jar of assorted chocolate candies. I try to keep some around in case I have a sugar crash. I won't have to buy any for a while.
Jack, You should do an infomercial on wifey mind control.. Mine is on board for $130 worth of scenics stuff that I ordered tonight, 4 Atlas log cars, and eight-foot more table.. Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas. Thanks dude you need to sell that mind control stuff you have.!!!! Lots to do tomorrow, see you guys later!

do you think you might want to go in uniform so maybe you get ahead of line privileges so you can get it all done in time
Roy thought about that but I honestly want it the best I can do as I want it right. I know or should say I figure I will when I get around to the layout put carpet under the legs I'm thinking I will glue the back of the carpet to the bottom of the leg so 1 it can be slid if necessary and 2 to help the noise traveling from table to flooring. I hope to build a desk/work bench about 12' long against the other wall with a walkway about 3' wide between the train table and the desk/work bench to get in and out of the house as its the main door we use ( back/side door) I plan to take the drawers and there housing ( I have an old wooden teachers desk) to use and put my desktop/ work bench across them and that will give me my height and my drawers for desk part of the work bench/desk. Plan to get a Formica counter top about 12' long to use. it will give me a great work bench to work on trains. The main thing I have to figure out is what to do with a cabinet I have in here now it was home made and I got it at an auction its 7' H x 2' D X 3' W its actually a nice storage cabinet it might just have to go into the bedroom the wife uses to keep her plants in during the winter theres a lot of junk in there that could be straightened up and maybe even go into the cabinet.
all in time lol.
Hope all had a good day and have a great Christmas weekend. I'm looking forward to the weekend as I will be with my enlarged family Sunday bring them there meals as there stuck in the hospital so will try to make it the best I can for them. I will be enjoying it and anxious to get home to wife also so we can have our Christmas dinner.
Talk to you all later have a good one
