RT and Chief - Not avoiding you. Hay is in but busy bush hogging in and around the pastures getting ready for winter rotational grazing. Rain today so I had time to check the Pot.
Train room? What is a train room? Must be that building I haven't been in for weeks.

Hi GUYZ,
RAINY AGAIN! I think I'm begining to oxidize(RUST)! I feel like the tin man and need some oil. Gee we got to send this rain to ROY they need it more then we do. Not much going on today gonna run on treadmill again. Run trains a little today and watch some football on the tube.
JOE, glad you had a good run. Yea I hear you on growing up in Shenadoah, same with me growing up in Hazleton. Glad I did when I did but wow have they changed in just a few years.
DOUG M, GO BEARS!

And Fifey has very sore eyes.
Morning from the best Carolina. Cool but not as breezy. Pretty day. Wifey and GF's came home early. One had to meet hubby at airport. They had fun. Lucy was glad to come home but was stuck up as she was with the "girls".
Lazy this AM. Slept good as cool. Had to hit the heat button this AM to get the chill out of the house. Watched TV and drank coffee. Vacumed with the new Dyson. Makes it easy. Time to clean and sterilize the greenhouse for winter. Busy time this week. Meetings and trip down east to the farm to put up another deer stand and a new feeder.
Sure Pat is cutting and bailing hay. Everyone is trying to here when not raining.
Have a great week.

Morning all not a lot happening this am. just taking it easy today may try yard work tomorrow lol. might get to it this afternoon. Its in the high 50's this am being 58 at present. Suppose to be sunny today and tomorrow in the low 70's both days.
Well still waiting for a couple of buyer's to pay for the goods but its the weekend and it ended Friday night so maybe the first of the week so I can get them out to them in a timely order lol. trying to get rid of all non scale items ( basically O-27 size and keep scale and semi scale items.)
Need to goto dollar general today to see if I can get a couple of boxes and more tape for shipping lol.
Dennis on the movie
to all and any who needs them.
I see pat avoiding us again lol guess hes just being a little busy with farm work. This is usually a busy time of year.
SJ - As long as we stay away from Valverde in this series I like our chances. Cano "almost" had two homers last night, he is really rounding into an elite player.

Good morning
45 and sunny, feels cold though.
No breaking news this morning, I'll watch the Lions game or take a nap depending on how the game is going. Tigers didn't do well yesterday and to make things worse their best pitcher can only play in 1 more game as he was the starter in the 2 inning rainout....S.J.

Mornin' boys. No. Great mornin' boys. The mere fact that my post is following Blueberry Hill puts things into perspective on many fronts. This is the best place on any forum.
Cool and damp in the Mid-Atlantic region. Perhaps dinner with friends later on. Dover race. Jets vs Ravens.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a dark and wet 52 degrees. Looks like we may get some sunshine today.
Today is a busy day. I have exercises to do and then, rest this afternoon. I watched the playoff games on TV and they were pretty good. Wish the Indians could have made it.
I'll be glad when I can get down to the train room. Another month or so. I have a brand new car that I want to run and take pictures of. Given to me by a dear friend. Will look good next to the Cheerios car.
Dining car has rolled in and it's Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck
Howdy guys - man, I see Swiss Miss and it's October, just think about hot chocolate
Had a pretty nice Saturday. Cut down, chopped out, and dug up all the rest of my bushes from the front of the house. They are all bagged up and ready to go - I'll put them out with the trash a few bags at a time for the next few weeks. My old spade I've had for like 25 years broke. The blade is pretty beat up too, so I'll just find a new one I guess. I had country fried steak and okra for dinner from Cracker barrel. Tomorrow is the big day as my buddy is coming over and we'll swap out my hot water heater with the new one I bought. I'll take a few minutes to fill in some drywall while there is an open space for me.
TARDIS is ready and I'll drive, SJ said he has some banilla
ps - congrats on the movie, Dennis!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Good evening all,
I was up early this morning for the half-marathon. It was pretty cool when I first stepped outside; it warmed up a little by start time and it was a great morning for a run. I ran with another guy from my class in order to keep him on track for his goal. I left him at mile 11 and ran a little faster to finish out the last 3 miles. I am pleased with my results: 1:58:16. This afternoon I donated blood during a Red Cross blood drive. PSU squeaked out another win today and the Yankees have a nice lead right now going in to the bottom of the 7th.
Laz - The course had more hills than I expected with two of them within the last half mile. My legs were smoked as I crossed the finish line. We had BBQ afterwards. I passed on the beer since I was scheduled to donate blood afterwards. Shenandoah may not be the town it once was, but I’m glad I grew up there.
Dennis - I'm glad to hear the movie did well.
Good night,
Joe
Windy in SE Indiana. Reffed two games today and played in a coaches/ referee game. Going to Kentucky Speedway tomorrow to cheer on SFR and "Special Ed", who is starting fourth, AJ's team and Vitor, Swiss Miss and Pippa. Should be a dry day weather wise. High school boys finished regular season 13-2-1, which is pretty good. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Evening
45 chilly degrees
I'm happy and sad the Mich. teams won, Toledo Rockets won, but the Buckeyes looked like pretty bad, almost got shutout.
Banilla is ready...S.J.
Evening. Community Day was a BIG success. Lots of people and lots of great compliments.
Ray, better to have a stocky broad shouldered guy to take the weight of this country than a skinny guy with elephant ears.
RT, stay off the r SPLAT oof. Oh well.
Wifey and GF's at the lake house. I am batching with the boy dogs. Lucy stayed with the girls. Went to Fitzgerald's [Calabash style seafood] for shrimp and oysters. Plop plop fiz fiz.
Now to go see Blue Bloods [fell asleep in the first 10 minutes last night].
44 degrees tomorrow morning. Burrr. Yankee weather.
Sleep tight.
Wow, I am one wooppped puppy! Spent a good part of the day building the door for the storage area I had built. Had to go pick up some supplies...not bad. Then, had to open table saw and assemble, again not bad. Then I had to put moulding around the door and also re-install the border moulding. Not too bad, but took a long time with several interruptions. Tonight, I went into the second attic to figure out where to pick up the electric for the new outlet I have to install. Dusty and hot. Oh well.
Well, the movie did 3.1 Million the first night and they are expecting 9 Million for the opening weekend. It is the highest rated per theater movie, but with Lion King 3D, hard to compete with a lot more theaters. It should do well from the reports I have seen. The budget was 2 Million, so I am sure Sony will be happy. Thanks for the encouraging words Chief. God gets the credit on these efforts.
Wife has been cleaning the house trying to get things in order for her sister and her family along with my MIL and her husband. Next weekend should be a lot of fun...or not. I will choose to be happy!
Hope everyone has a blessed night.Dennis

V8 Dennis, what's that about rain for three days next week? Guess I'll have to read the weather reports. Like you, I'll believe it when I see it. If it's for real, might have to batten down some hatches over here.
No comment on politics except to say Mr Christi needs to lose some weight. Voters would be scared of heath issues.
Came down with runny nose today and I have been going through a lot of Kleenex. Taking some OTC medicine for it. Got a flu shot about a week ago. Maybe this is a delayed reaction.
Don, my trip back East is in November but will be back in time for Cal Stewart if I go.
later,

Aloha from a crisp, sunny Fall day. The trees are turning. My in-laws just came back from a week in Scotland, John; it is beautiful country. DennisV8, we heard about that mishap and rescue here too. Happy to hear of Thomas' popularity. . Took the youngest to a Kids Workshop day at our local Home Depot. What a great set-up. He built a helicopter.(We're hiding out whilst my bride organizes the closets. )

Mornin' Boyz & Gurlz !
Great day at the museum yesterday even though the DCS Gremlins showed up about 3pm. SWMBO went with me as usual, came home and dropped off my toys then we spent some time checking out the final cruise nite of the year. Dinner at In-N-Out Burger on the way home.
Started work on the halloween layout in the garage, need an early start because the energy/stamina levels are limiting how much I can do on a daily basis.
Jon, Great photo of that Elk. This is a great time of year in the Rockies, all the bulls will be bugling to challenge other males and gather their harems. Rumaging thru a junk drawer I came across an old faded photo of Poudre Lake by Trailridge Road. It sits astride the Continental Divide, one end drains into the Gulf of Mexico and the other end drains into the Gulf of California.
Cheerios were all gone by the time the dining car arrived, opted for mini shredded wheat.
Later All !

Lunch Time,
Pretty smooth day at work so far. Nothing out of the ordinary and pretty quiet.
Jon, Enjoy the Grandkids and Thomas. We still have the Fisher Price People also. My wife is saving them for the grandkids. I did not know we had any.
Fife, Dont overdue it. You have to get some fall sailing in.
SJ, Playoffs should not be rained out today.
Chief, Enjoy Community Day. Ours was a couple of weeks ago. We call it Community Pride Day.
Back to work,
John
Chief first job is climb on roof and get pine needles off.
Morning all. Yankee chill in the air. Pretty day. We are doing Police Dept's Community Day. It is in place of National Night Out. Everyone around us does National Night Out in Aug. Hot and sticky. We opped to do this on the first Sat. in Oct. Games for kids and free hot dogs and drinks for all. Paid for by Target. So, the Mayor is headed that way for several hours.

Hope the move goes good, English. Send us some photos of the new home and the country side.
LAZ has sore back from lifting stones and brinks.
Glad the old Horn Blower is having fun with the Grandkids. Still judging those marching bands.
Shake and Bake has a great reunion. That is good.
RT and yard work. Will look like a goofer hit town.
Well, now we can get a bowl of Cheerios so our hearts will be healthy.
Dennis, keep up the good work on films. "Union", you don't want my opinion.
Fifey, bet you will not be so happy to "bendover" the next time.
Have a good one.
47 here this morning. Last nite pulled up brick pavers outside shed because of water flowing in. Dug out stone placed pavers in new location then filled in void left by pavers. Hopefully my water problem is fixed. Did that in 2 hrs then had fire with wife had burgers and Ol Mils nice cool nite enjoying the fire. Went in and ran trains for an hour, NO PILE UPs. Today its gonna rain this afternoon. Got to run sweeper in house then laundry and then maybe work on layout.
JOE, have a nice half marathon today. The last half I ran was down in Williamsburg, Va. We ran that 4 times its in February and had a blast every time. Start and finish in the gym at William and Mary College. Nice flat course and afterwards they had free food and free BEER. Mrs T's Pioegies were there and we had our fill of them afterwards, GOOD EATs as always, I mean come on its from SHENANDOAH, right, whats not to like.
Charlie went north to his cabin, hope he took undies with a flap on the back. Plans for today is watching football. I guess granny will just lay around, got her on the knee bending machine right now. 4 hours a day. We have it till Monday then Medicare runs out on it and they Will be knocking on the door to pick it up. Winter is here so away we go..S.J.
A warm greeting from the Heartands, it's just beautiful here today. Woke up to 36 degrees and an extra warm smile form our Grandkids who are here for the weekend sans parents, YES! Our Oaks are just beginning to have the tips of their leaves touched by an artists brush and the Sumacs are turning bright red, we are truly blessed by nature's show in Oct.
We are off to Patches later this morning, a gorgeous farm where we can go on horse back rides, a hay rack ride and pick our own pumpkins--oh, and roast marshmellows. It's become a tradition for us and the kids are sure excited, we picked them up last night and thankfully they slept until 7:30!!!!!
My marching band judging season starts this afternoon and ends at 10:00 tonight. I am busy every weekend through Oct. and I just love it, except when it rains. This month's "haul" allows me to bank the $$$ and plan for next summer's road trips. Next summer will be extra special -- Alaska!
Young Grandson eye's just light up when he see's Thomas all set up in the dining room, he could care less about Grandpa's big layout in the basement. He just turned two and can run the transformer just fine. Big sister enjoys taking the tops off of the passenger cars and putting her Dads old Fisher Price people in there for a ride. Sure glad we saved those old "good" toys.
Best to everyone!
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
Cloudy and cool. Looks like it's that way all day.
It is October already. Lost a couple of months this year. Coffee tastes extra good this morning. I slept good last night. Only woke up once.
Watched playoffs last night. This should get good.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Morning all good to see a new pot. Hope all having a good weekend have running to do today then yard work tomorrow.
Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Hey, what's this about a move to Scotland? Should I change my greeting to Mornin' Scottish? Mornin' Scot? ...Scotty? FFRREEEEeeeeedoooooommmmmm!!!!
I digress.
Partly sunny and 59 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Flurries in Appalachia. Mowed lawn yesterday. Still healing.
Fifepup got an A (singular) in PhysEd. Now he has a stress fracture in his injured leg. As for the other subjects, let's just say he didn't get Dad's creative juices...
RockIsland - Thanks! You really know how to JACK us all up.
Chief - Who would want to oppose the CHOSEN ONE, and endure a year long bashing by every media outlet... Perhaps if Washington just took a 4 year hiatus, the country may turn around itself.
Good morning and welcome to October boys! It is much cooler here this morning and supposed to be so for the next few days. Great to see the fabulous Baker Boys posting from both Cali and across the pond!
I will try to recall the posts from the end of Sept. to respond here. Banks, the Kendrick brothers and the church made two films prior to "Fireproof". I was not involved other than the financial end and prayer through the church. Those movies were "Flywheel" and then "Facing The Giants". Each have progressively gotten better with experience and budget allowances. My involvement started with "Fireproof" as both a consultant and as associate producer.
Bob, glad it was only an egg. Had a friend who was an engineer for Metro North Railroad in New York. One day some kids thought it would be fun to throw a brick off an overpass that came through the front windshield and almost killed him. He had significant injuries, but survived. After that incident, they put cages across the front and used thicker glass.
Jack, yeah, we are proud. We take our roles as parents very seriously. It is in sharp contrast to a news story we had here yesterday. A 14 year old boy was shot in the back of the head in front of his house by a 18 year old on a bicycle. While a tragedy, one has to question why the 14 year old was not in school. Also, why does a 18 year old on a bicycle have a gun? We actually do make a difference in how our children turn out.
Chief, two of the folks in the new movie are from your neck of the woods. Rusty Martin Sr., and Jr. are both in it. I saw a news story on your Channel 5 News with an interview with them. They were great to work with and really "walk the walk". Also, with regards to Chris Christy, I like much of what he has to say, but I can also tell you the guys from the union have a less than admirable opinion. Perhaps that is what we need. Personally, I am liking much of what Cain has been raising...but I don't want to get into a political thing here. Only one politician per thread!
Well, gotta go join the family. Son was up quite early reading. It is amazing how they can get so into a book when it captures their imagination. I think the reading and attention our kids get certainly show when they get to school, and hopefully will bring them into adulthood with sound principles.
God Bless,Dennis
Morning All...
Aroma of fresh pot was very appealing.
Lots of traveling going on, or will very soon! John moving to Scotland, and Ray going across country. Sure hope both have safe trips!
We had some BIG rain today, the drops where about the size of a dime, but spread out quite aways. Not many of them either. Suppose to get some more rain this weekend and into next week as well. Apparently it is all part of prior hurricane off Lower Baja.
Chris is out camping this weekend in the desert, Marble Mountains near Barstow. Think he may be getting a little wet.
I met with my former Brother in Law today. Been close to 30 years since I last saw him. Had a very nice talk, and caught up on a lot of family news.
Getting late, so need to get some rest, want to start the new month off with plenty of zest and vigor.
Be Safe, and God Bless
Don
