GOOD MORNING FROM BLUEBERRYHILL....

It if a cool 50 degreees.  No therapy today.

Afew more days.  Seems like I have been gone for a long time.

You have been.  You are headed home now.Yes

Cloudy and chilly.  Warming and clearing by end of day.  Set a record lowest high yesterday.  Lazy and slow moving today.

Have a great week.

PS: A minor thing I forgot to post Univ. of Miami [ACC team]  beat Ohio State 24-6.  Whistling  That means a certain fellow will not post for a week or more. WhistlingLaugh

Good Morning

54 with bright sun.

I feel just as tired this morning as I did last night. I'm getting hungry but granny has a machine on her leg moving it up/down while sleeping. Hate to have the smoke alarm wake her so I'll wait...S.J.

Afternoon all!

Doug - your rain delaying NASCAR - send it down here please! Storm

We actually got about 1/2 inch Friday night and forgot to note it here. We might get some rain tonight.

Poor Buckeye - Ohizo economy slumps when Ohio looses...Sigh

Cowboys vs 49ers at 3 here. Sports writers finally acknowledged in the paper this morning that Cowboys have not had real success since the 90's - DUH.

Steroids making me jittery and as they advertise, I didn't sleep well last night.

Hope everyone has a great day today!

EDIT - Doug - LAZ, ouch Bears losing to Saints Dunce

Good Evening

64 and rain expected overnight.

No nap today, The Lions won 48-3, I won't mention that it was Kansas City. I guess granny's doing ok, it's hard to tell yet, she's not moaning and groaning so that has to be a good sign. Brought in the last of the tomatoes today pulled up the plants, such a sad occasion. Banilla is ready...S.J.

Good evening all,

I was up early for breakfast and then visited a church Dennis recommended.  It was a very nice service and convicting message.  Thanks for the help Dennis.  A couple classmates and I went to a local restaurant to have wings and watch the early NFL games.  The restaurant had all of them on and there were some very entertaining games to watch.  My Dolphins are about to lose now.  I have some homework to finish before the late game starts.

AF Ray - We lost today but I believe the Sox did as well.  I hope you get to see 602 on Tuesday; that would be amazing.

Fife - The Titans deflated the Ravens' bubble.

Chief - The OSU-Miami game should have been called the Cheater Bowl.  I have no desire to watch either of those teams and we Big 10 folks should disown OSU.

SJ - I hope you were able to watch your Lions whoop the Chiefs.

Bob - I am trying to change the AF's image.  Laugh  The class I'm attending also has Soldiers and Sailors so I don't want to look bad either.  Also, my job requires a higher level of fitness.

Chuck - Great job on the PT.

Good night,

Joe

Good Evening

Brought in the last of the tomatoes today pulled up the plants, such a sad occasion. Got out the dog sled.  Tuned up the huskies.  S.J.

Evening.  Stayed cloudy but no rain.  Took tube deer feeders apart and cleaned out the swolen corn [from so much rain].  Went to Lowe's and got light fixtures.   One went well and one caused me to loose all of my religion. Angry  Plus had to modify bracket to get it to work [1940 house].  Chinese time.

Been a quiet day here.  Just reflected on my blessings and trying to stay grateful.  My ailments are tolerable today.  I feel lucky compared to some of my friends and relatives.  My sister in the hospital for cancer treatment may come home tomorrow they say and will meet with the radiology people for the next step.  She is already set up with a chemtherapy port.  She says she is getting lots of visitors and friends.  I would be there too if I lived in her neck of the woods.

Roy, hang in there with the steroids.  Hope you sleep better tonight and that they do you some good with reducing inflamation.

Chuck, nice to hear from you each day.  Almost like old times.  Are they giving you any Cherios yet?  You will be home before you know it.

V8 Dennis,  You may be right about the grocery strike.  I just saw on the news workers putting together placards for the picket line.  It's really a bad time for a strike.  Stores have already started hiring scabs to take over if they walk.  We will only have one store to go to over here without crossing a picket line.  I picked up a few things today at the store but did not freak out with panic buying.  We've been through this before.

Chief, who won the Bar-b-que contest?  Was it home made or commercial?

Watched a TV special about Louis Prima today.  I saw them in Vegas in 1958 when he was still married to Keely Smith.  They were great!  They broke up a few years later.  Too bad I thought they were better together than apart.  He has a son that looks a lot like him who also has a band and plays some of his father's stuff.

Had a nice dinner last night to celebrate our pastor's 25th jubilee.

later,

Ray

Good evening all,

Busy weekend.  Reffed two youth games then watched "my" soccer boys set a school record for soccer wins (current record is 10-0-1).  True test is this week as they face their three toughest conference foes with 3 games in five days.  If they win or tie all three, they should finish the regular season undefeated.  Finished painting the fence posts Saturday.  Will have to do the ones on the other side next year.  Barn door needs the work more.  Sunday mowed the yard and trimmed the trees along the neighbor's property.  Rough day in the IRL as Vitor was 25th after getting punted and Swiss Miss was 14th.  Dixon won.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening guys.  Had a great day with church.  We are having a "ReFRESH"  conference which has  a tone of revival, but also a lot of self reflection.  Gotta get your own heart right before working on others.

Joe, glad you liked it there.  It is a good place and some good people.  I hope to get out that way for a visit soon, but we do have some things for the next couple of weekends.  My bride and I have to attend a meeting for adoptive families next weekend and then I will be on call after that.  I will give you a call.

Bob, glad to see you doing well out there.  One thing that I find is that by being the "go-to-guy" is that you may never get the praise, or even the thanks, but somehow, when the stuff hits the fan, you are still the one they call to make things right.  We keep you in prayer for guidance and discernment.

Chief, as I was informed a few years ago...it is called "THE Ohio State University".  Don't want any bundled underwear.  Between the issues at Miami, OSU's problems and so many others that we hear about, I just wish they would get back to playing the game.  As for BBQ, I could really go for some now, but my bride and I are trying to eat better....oh well.

Roy,  you may find some sleep aid in Benadryl.  I would wait till you have the following day off if you are not used to it, it can really make you groggy the following day.  I often take it because of the arthritic pain in my neck, and I have to keep away from pain medication due to testing for drug tests that can come at random...(not that I have done anything, but all clinical medical staff at our hospital are subject to it)

Well, time to hit the sheets.  Rest of family is sick with colds, so I better get some rest and hopefully stay healthy.
God Bless,
Dennis

Evening!

Cowboys somehow pulled it out this afternoon Stick out tongue and beat the 49ers.

Ray and Dennis - thanks. Dennis I may try the Benadryl in a day or two if the sleep issue persists. The steroids is a 7 day pack. Take one less each day.

Wow - we had rain here - 1.5 inches at our house. We sure needed it and the storm is hitting a few of the lakes here. Sure need it.

Sure like hearing good news Chuck!

Have a great evening all!

Good night all.  Reclinerized too long.

Roy, when I was on a large dose for several months of the same years back, they gave me Ambien.  A problem with that was my body got use to it [about 4 months in a row].  Took two more months of taper doses to get me off.  Sure do sleep well though. Sleep  Benadryl makes me sleep.  Take it for alergic reations.  When I do, crash.

Sleep tight.

Good Mornin' Ya'll From Crystal Clear Taxachusetts,

Cool and clear weather continues, highs and lows running about 10 degrees below normal at about 65/43.  But it will be warming up starting tomorrow accompanied by some rain.

Yesterday was a busy day.  My son and I started things off by taking in the Collings Foundation air show at our local airport......more of an exhibit of the WWII aircraft with just a couple of takeoffs and landings, but awesome nonetheless, especially the tour of the inside of the B17.  Besides the B17, B-24, and the P51, and a trainer, a pristine Corsair joined the group with a bi-plane and a dirigible airship.  Had promised wifey we'd be home by noon to take her to the International Street Festival in Peabody.  But as soon as we got there we saw an area next to the tarmac was set aside for a classic car show.  Hot rods?  You bet (V8), and everything from a Model T to 1970s muscle cars (Rich).  Wifey kept waiting, and she didn't buy the old flat tire excuse.  Whistling Smile, Wink & Grin  I bought some raffle tickets for a free ride in one of the bombers, but the phone didn't ring yesterday informing me I had won.  Sad

After all of that, the Wifey and I bolted up to NH for dog training at two different places.  She has signed up for the trials to take the field for obedience competition with Maximus at the Doberman Nationals in Fitchburg MA the first week in October.  The last four training consecutive training sessions have been solid.  He's still maturing and has the "zoomies," so the consistency isn't quite there.  Which dog will show up when it counts is anybody's guess. Bang Head

It sounds like some of the bumps in the road are smoothing out, prayers working. Angel  Chuck is counting the days until he takes his PT entourage home with him. Whistling SP Ray's back has settled into "tolerable," hope that means progress.  Sleepless Roy's neck is responding.  RT must be feeling better, didn't mention his virus.  And SJ is keeping the stove fires to a minimum while Granny P is recovering, he must be living on banilla and root beer. Laugh  Char, Brutus, and family are celebrating Baptisms with family.  And Brent and SuzieQ haven't snapped yet due to sleep deprivation from Christina's schedule.  Prayers continue for all who need them.  Angel

RaySP......was glad to hear your Sis may be going home soon.  Prayers, buddy.  Hope you can get in a trip to visit her.  Easier said than done, don't give up. Angel

Chuck........while it may seem like a long time, you are snapping back quickly!! Thumbs Up!  Hang in there.  Soon you will be homeward bound with about 5 weeks to spare to harvest the pumpkins for Halloween, enjoy a beautiful Fall, and prep the snow cannon.  By the way, your trademark font color failed you on your last post I read.

MikeC........I'll be pulling for your boys' soccer team.  What a season they are having.  Must be doing the opposite of what you are telling them.  Whistling

LAZ and DougM......not only did the Bears lose, but they lost half of their starting offensive line in the process.  QB Cutler doesn't need any help disintegrating. Whistling  Roy.....Cowboy's Romo plays better with two cracked ribs.  Fife......what happened to the Ravens from the week before?  Seems they took the week off.  RT and Brent.....the Steelers are just too good to fold up.  SJ......your Lions apparently haven't read the script and are smokin'!  MikeC.....only four more months of football with baseball, basketball, and hockey for you to contend with.  The NASCAR championship will keep you occupied.  My Pats offense is smokin' but the defense hasn't jelled.

SubmmBob.......glad to hear we can put a man on the moon but you need extension cords to keep the atomic clock running up there on the mountain.  Bang HeadLaugh

Roy......by my calculations reading your posts, you got two inches of rain over the weekend.  As dry as it has been in your neck of the woods this entitre year, hope most of it didn't just run off.

JoeyD.....you don't want to make the Army, Navy, and Marines look too bad.  Slow down.  Whistling

AF Ray and JoeyD.........Red Sox nation is depressed.  We just need to sweep the Yanks next weekend and get a little help sandwiched around that.  SJ must be overjoyed with his Tigers, they won again yesterday.......too much excitement going on at the Royal household.

TODAY'S HEADS UP........you may want to buy your Haloween pumpkins early this year.  Shortage predicted, pumpkin rot, due to all of the rain in pumpkin country.

Gotta run.........later gang!!!

Jack

Still dreary today but a bit warmer. Already warmer than yesterday, 64 and got a good rain overnight.

It looks like NASCAR will get it in today over in Joliet. Bears better rest for next week if they hope to have a chance against the Pack.

Morning all!

Nice day here after last night's rain. Will be mid-80's and then low 90's tomorrow. Cooler on Wed.

Chuck - great news again and so happy you are feeling better!

SJ - good to hear Granny is doing well also.

Doug M - all right matey's Pirate - gaargh! There's scurvy on board!

See the NASCAR race is now scheduled for noon ET today. I am working from home so I can steal a glance now and then.

V8 - they tried that here about 20 years ago and it benefited the stores that did not have strike risks, basically it backfired.

Mike C - the IRL race was not televised here this past weekend.

Feeling the same today as yesterday - no better no worse. Tapering down the steroids and should be off of them Thursday.

Have a great day all!

RT - glad you are better also.

Jack - the only time Romo focuses is when he is in trouble and then many times it is too late. But not to put all the blame on him - our team owner typ spends all his salary cap on aging/troublemaker receiver "stars" and then neglects the offensive line so our QB gets jammed all the time. If the owner would wise up (I know this is a dream - problem has persisted for 15+ years) the Cowboys would have the biggest - meanest offensive line in the league and the QB would have time to execute plays without getting blitzed/blindsided and getting his ribs cracked. Kitna is a good backup but same issue - an aging QB needs a great offensive line to protect him.

Afternoon Fellas.

Busy weekend... that seems to be the theme now. Smile Still trying to figure out why the shutoff valve is leaking in the powder room. Have 1 more connection to check and if that doesn't work then I am cutting it off and installing a new one! (that is a conversation you don't want to walk into at the end!)

As a wise 84yo coach likes to point out, you are never as good as you think you are when you win, and you are never as bad as you think you are when you lose. I found it comical how many Ravens' fans were gloating after they beat Pittsburgh last week, and I find it even more comical how they are acting today! Last weekend was the perfect storm of most things working in The Ravens' favor and against Pittsburgh, The Ravens played a heck of a game, The Steelers forgot when the game started! This weekend The Ravens played like The Steelers last week... The Steelers played Middle Seatle High School, so I'm not sure how much that game really shows us. This coming week The Ravens visit The Rams for what could be a very good game, and The Steelers visit the depleated Colts and will again play a team that they should soundly beat (Colts are definitely no where near the team they are when Manning is playing).

Good to see all the old folk are on the mend! SurpriseCoolPirateWhistling

Mornin'/Afternoon All.

Glad to see Chuck is active again, just goes to show the old adage is true: "Old Guys Rule". At least that's what my coffee mug says, which doesn't get used anymore since I gave up coffee. Sigh

See the cardiologist tomorrow, hope he does an adjustment of the meds. My butt has been draggin' for awhile now, no train time at the museum last friday although SWMBO and I joined some friends from out of town  there for lunch.

The "Munchkin" is six years old as of today so I have started a conversation with the daughter & sil about him joining the 3Railers Kids Club. Hope he does, need somebody in the family to leave my toys to. Whistling

Ray, Prayers for your sister and families.

Joyous weekend for Clan Brutus. Thumbs Up

Tragic accidents at the air shows this weekend, unfortunately it sounds as if the PC folks are coming out of the woodwork. Not to mention the federal regulators. SoapBox

SJ, Were you able to get rid of the pizza boxes and fast food wrappers before Granny got home. Smile, Wink & Grin Sounds as if things are going well.

Later all, feel a snooze coming on. Zzz

PS_ I purposely avoided mentioning the results of Sandy Eggo's sports teams yesterday. Ick!
