Good Morning
28 and I just cleared 3 inches of lite snow.
It's gone till wednesday. I have a lot to say about our reaming but since we can't talk politics, I'll suffer in silence but not alone. the roads are already clear but Me thinks I will stay in today. Granny is frying real potatoes so a good breakfast is on the way...S.J.

Frosty this AM. Now in shirt sleves. Off to vet to get Burg his meds and then Miss Edna's. Been busy this AM.
True Grit, OK but not as good as the original. Funny. Original came on last night on AMC so watched it too.
Later.

Hello Sir James: you could talk politics but it won't help. Get out and get involved and VOTE, VOTE,VOTE.
Think good thoughts, do good deeds!
No actually, we can't talk politics here or you risk being deleted. its probably a good policy as we all have different opinions on some subjects. this keeps us civil. But right now I would sure like too.
S.J.
Good morning all,
It will be another spring-like day here for us. I suppose I should take advantage of it and complete some outside chores. However, I will probably just open the garage door while I run the trains today. We have friends coming over for dinner tonight, but other than that we should have a pretty uneventful day.
Laz - If you have the Remember Me button clicked, you shouldn't have to keep logging in as long as CTT’s site is operating properly. However, if you have your Internet browser set up to delete Cookies every time you close the browser or log off the Internet, that would be why you have to log on to the site every time.
S.J. - I agree. I think we can sometimes rant in general terms, but I am glad politics is off limits on the site.
Good day all,
Joe
Sunny and 32 at exit 77 this afternoon.
Laz - I haven't logged in for about a year. I just added this forum to my favorites and it opens it up right to here. For me there is no reason I can think of in logging out.
Navyjack - Sure anytime you want. Maybe John and I can test your buys out for you and report back

Good morning all, off to TCA Western Division meet this morning. Today is the date for our periodic auction. Don't have anything to put in it though.
Dennis, prayers for healing on your eye.
Laz, sounds like the new pup is doing fine.
Re True Grit. I have only seen the John Wayne version. That was good enough for me. Don't know why they need another one. I guess it has been a long time since the last one but it seems recent to me. Time flies.
Back pain bugging me lately and stiffness in left leg after sitting. Old age is setting in again. Got to keep moving.
Got to run,

Afternoon all. It is in the low 70s out here. We are getting ready to go out for lunch to a local eatery. I have some meds I need to pick up at the pharmacy as they added a few for my eye. Thanks for the kind words....hope it heals properly and soon! Regarding the dust while working on my friend's house, there was some, but now I will need some eye drops as I can feel it. Ended up fixing a ceiling fan, replacing a light fixture with a track lighting set up, and replacing three rooms worth of outlets and covers. All went well.
Regarding inflation, we have yet to see the large increases, we have seen some. I think General Mills is increasing their products by like 7% and the claim is because of the cost from suppliers. We have seen it in some of the things we buy, but again, not as bad as some have predicted. While we have done well, I know a number of people who have either had their work hours cut, or reduction in pay...for those folks, any increase is felt.
Hope to check in later.God Bless,Dennis

Afternoon all!
Back from Phoenix/Mesa trip where it was quite cool, partly cloudy, and in 50's. But - it is going to be 74 here today before the cool down starts next week. Predicting some freezing rain Tuesday?
Taking it easy today. Trips wear me out now. Watching start of Rolex 24 at Daytona.
Hope all are well! Dennis - glad the eye continues to heal up!
Have a great day today all!
Regards, Roy
Evenin' boys. Spent first part of today at a college open house with middle princess. Lots of chotchkies and free coffee, but pretty sure she's headed east...and that's good.
rt - Is that kinda like being on double secret probation...?
dwiemer - Story is not over. Perp's family is suing the bank for giving him a red dye pack (that went off while he was holding hostage), as well as city public works for not clearing the street (causing him to slip on snow and lose grip of his hostage), THUS ultimately leading to lead poisoning. It is Maryland...they may win...
Demay - It's all good.
Hello Sir James; i like my head where it is, your right . i would never dispute the King!
fife yeah thats it but what got me she jumped right to double from the word go lol.
Hmmm next Sunday here we go again this time its Steelers vs Packers could it be # 7 for the steelers I hope so but on other hand wouldn't bother me if the packers won either.
Well not a lot going on been running the carpet central rail road about every night.
Figured out what was what with the PRR trainmaster by Williams that I put TMCC in it from electric railroad. I had the throttle set at 100 steps and it didn't like that. When I reset it to 32 steps it was fine. it still will like blink the front light in reverse like its getting a bad signal but it runs fine forward.
Not a lot happening here tonight little tired as stayed up to late last night with having to be up at 5:30 this morning.
Talk to you all later hope you all have a good night
Good Evening
28 and still cloudy.
No breaking news today. I shall wait with our sized down package of banilla and keep the lite on for the thingy..S.J.
Good Evening from the Jersey Shore, 30 and snow showers.
Navy Jack and I had a great chat today as always.
AF53, Ray, I saw the email. Bring it over and we will sandblast it in the cabinet.
Fife, It seems that Crime Does Pay when the criminals have more rights than the law abiding. It all stems down to the "criminal having improper potty training". It is always someone elses fault.
Chief, So the original True Grit is better than the remake. They cant beat the Duke.
SJ, One advantage that I have over you is a never ending supply of banilla or any other ice cream that I may want. Remember, my wife owns an ice cream store.
Have a great evening.
Prayers and thoughts for all inneed.
John
Evening all
Dennis - prayers for healing.
It got up into the mid 50's today. It felt great. I was really proud of Gabriel, our grandson who we are raising at the pinewood derby. His car did not place, but when the winners were announced, the boy who got first place was standing next to Gabriel, and Gabriel patted him on his back and said, Good Job, Way to go.
There has been a rash of break in in our county also. Several robberys within a few blocks. Perps not too bright sometimes. Week or so ago guy broke into the ex-sherrif house during the day when he was home. Put a .45 in the knee of the perp.
Good night and may God bless
Jim
Good evening all,
It was cloudy in SE indiana. Busy day as both Lucas and one of the daughters was home. The daughter was here to guide us in setting up the situation for my dad. We had a meeting at his house along with my sister and my wife and we have a plan that should allow him to live by himself for the time being. We all got to visit with each other and it was a good day, the first one in quite a while. Work was busy yesterday. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
hey john, you may have a larger amount of ice cream available to you but as a career navy man, i have a never ending supply of chicken s--t. ha..ha..wife took grandson to sports store today, he bought a ice fishing auger. he also got an ice fishing pole. he looked at henry 22s. his mom is in trouble now. gigi looked at a henry big boy in shiny brass with lots of engraving. i told her she could not handle a .44 mag. her wrists are not strong enough. had great conversation with hudson 685. joe you are lucky to be in af. like a civilian job. the last two places i was stationed, they kept us away from genserve navy personnel and we used af facilities. norton and march much nicer than navy. cant believe how good you guys live. navyjack. put bid on a bubbling water tower today
We had a nice night as we had a couple from church over for dinner. Since it has been warm I decided to fire up the grill. I make a Turkish version of chicken tikka. My wife made couscous and salad. I warmed up some pita bread on the grill to round it all out. Everything tasted great and we had a good time. I ran the trains for the husband and he really enjoyed it.
Navyjack - Yes, the AF does seem to offer a better quality of life than the other branches. I have lived on an Army post before, and spent plenty of time on Navy yards and Marine camps so I know how the other branches live as well.
It's time for bed. Good night,
Had a good visit with a surprise visit from an old friend I haven't seen much for weeks now. Enjoyed some margaritas and lots of good talk and joking around . Sorry, RT, SJ, and Charlie (?), it was not an expected visit, so didn't get to contact you guys. I'll catch you tomorrow night.
Took it easy most of the day, but ulitmately I had to go do the grocery shopping for the week. I was at Walmart a couple hours and no real pain in the leg, but it is tired. Another day of rest will do me well before I go to work, and I got some microwave meals for lunch next week so I don't have to go out again for a while. I think in a few more days, I'll be back to normal again. Wife is doing fine, Dad is doing fine, Aunt is doing fine - who could ask for anything more?
Margarita, anyone? I still have half a bottle? Tardis is ready, but I better not drive !!!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is 28 degrees. No new snow. Going up to 30 today.
Today is an easy day. A few chores to do and then relax. I have a new book that I want to start reading. Maybe a nap later.
Dining car is here with the usual breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.

I was told by Mrs. Buckeye to set up a floor layout for the Grandson who is visiting us in a few weeks. He was enthralled by the trains running around the Christmas tree.
Let's see I'll need 5000 feet of straight, 1000 feet of curved, 200 switches, 400 feet of wire, three or four ZW, three round houses, 50 bridges, 200 signals, 500 cars and ...........

Buckeye --
I bought a Thomas Lionel set about 2-3 years ago for our grand daughter and she just loves it. It goes in the dining room, on the carpet, and she enjoys taking the tops off the passenger cars and putting her Dad's old small Sesame St. people in and taking them for a ride. She will turn 5 in May and has run the transformer by herself for quite awhile now. Her little brother (18 months) sure enjoys the trains, even in Grandpas room downstairs but still, the carpet runners are the most fun for them.

So many roads, so little time.
Good Morning Potters
Sun and 23.
Laz we are expecting the same storm here, could be a deep one. I know old Phil and his shadow won't be any help either. John if granny owned an ice cream store I'd have to buy plastic spoons by the gross, and probably new pants twice a year. Have a great sunday, I'm going to enjoy the sun. Who knows when we will see it again...S.J.

I keep telling my wife a more permanent layout on the first floor is a perfect idea for the granddaughters. What is the sense of a room that has very little practical purpose beyond a receptacle for furniture and dust? Plus the "outhouse" and the refrigerator are close by. Wife not buying it.......yet.
Jack.
