Ceegars all around, boys. Became a Fife"pop" (of sorts). Oldest stepson and gf had a little boy. Hope to get over to Eastern Shore in a couple weeks for a meet-n-greet. Life ends. Life begins. World goes on. Took littleset princess to Kenilworth train display. Lots of parents and kids; and that's good. Worked Santa parade this afternoon. Lots of folks came out in the cold. We need Christmas in a big way this year.
cnw1995 - She looks a little skeptical...
anjdevil - Middle princess will be doing some tree selling at 47. Thought I did good on my marine interview. Hope to be patrolling the bay this summer (if only in a reserve capacity).
Northwoods - You stop by any time... on me.
Good Evening from the Jersey Shore,
Ray, Don't get tendonitis winding up your clockwork AF. I am planning on setting the Christmas Story Dept 56 on the mantle over the wood stove this year. The outside gets decorated tomorrow.
Brutus, I am Glad that Char is home.
NavyJack, Gigi wants the red Mustang GT Convertible with the hot stick shift. Whoops that is my daughter's.
Rich, Good Luck with the job search.
Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.
John
Fife, Congrats on the new family member. I hope that everyone is healthy.
Good Evening
30 and I'm happy to report: no snow here.
Congrats to fife PoP
I watched tv ran some trains and granny made a great beef roast with mashed taters and gravy. To me, better tasting than a steak. Banilla is ready but someone else can drive tonite, I'm still a little lite headed from last nights loop-d-loops...S.J.

Good evening everyone. Doug, some good friends your way said they had snow too. Got home short time ago after spending many dollars on new curtains for the formal living room. Oh well, SWMBO is happy.
Fife, congratulations on the grandchild. Another sailor in the making?
Have to get some sleep early tonight as we are going to FIL's house tomorrow for Christmas with one part of the family.
God Bless,Dennis

Fife - 10-4 on the middle Princess @ 47...and big congas on the grandpop-ness!
Sold 41 trees today to match our Station #41...had a chimney fire during it all in another township. Missed the truck, but the Deputy Chief bought me dinner! Very cool!
OK....back to my TV...Check back later!

Good evening all,
It is Shohiozoning in the Hoosier Land all day today. *)*)*)&*_*)_& Ohio snow cannons got pointed the wrong way again and showered Indiana instead of the intended target. Guys, you need to check coordinates first. Brutus, it is indeed good news to hear Char is home again. This has been a continuing story for a long, long time and we all hope this is the happy ending we have been waiting for. Fife, congrats on the new baby! We went to see "Morning Glory" last night. Good movie. Did some work setting stuff up at the museum today. More work and trains are needed. I hope the others step up and do what they said they would do. Will be a poor exhibit if they do not. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast. TBIL anytime. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Howdy guys - Chief says he got snow! It was warmer here today, maybe about 40, but tonight the wind was stronger and really cold! Spent most of the day running around getting supplies and medicine from walgreens and walmart. Also did the grocery shopping and picked up The Expendables to watch, which is really good but bloody.
FifePOP - congrats!
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. She is doing pretty well, although still trying to get the medicine routine down at home. She has been eating well, so that's terrific and got some uninterrupted sleep last night.
I notice that the loop-de-loops screwed up the SNOWHIO GUN targeting reticle? We'll have to go repair that tonight!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Brutus' Char is home. Fife is a GrandFife. Santa and the Princess are coming to Rich's town. Dennis has become cultured. A direct hit was scored on Chief. DougM scores the first snowman of the season. And SJ has banilla and roast beef sandwiches for us on the Thingy tonight. The beacon is on.
As Laz would say.....Congas!!!!!!!!!!!
Jack
IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
Fife,
Congrats.
Brutus,
Glad to hear Char is doing well.
I got the tree together, and I just couldn't take it any longer. I am going to play with this for a bit to hold me over:
That is the 282 that I got at Toy Town in Berlin, MD this past July. I should look into getting a camcorder as well.
Congrats Fife.. perhaps a new train buddy?
Charlie a.k.a. MichiganRailRoad714 (Charter Member TTC)
@$&#!!! Chuck, Direct hit. We got Snohio. Really pretty. Ground and trees covered. Highways will have some slick spots by morning as temp drops. Really pretty to drive past Christmas tree lots. All the trees covered in white. Finn had his first snow experience. Jump and played as if chasing a ball or something. Funny. Christmas Parade at 2 will be chilly.
Congrats Fifey. A new train buddy for Fifey Pop.
Took a while to read all the emails. Actually got in at dark 30. Had to run to the gro for spaghetti noodles. Wifey had fixed sause and no noodles. Ate a nice bowl of spaghetti and watched a Halmark movie with her. Then reclinerized until an hour ago.
Now to bed.
BTW: great to chat with Char. Told her to eat well so she would regain her strength.

Mornin' boys. SNOHIZO this AM, but just a little dust on the roofs and cars. I'm thinking OleTimer and Banks got the worst of it. Lots to do today. Laundry, try and fix vacuum cleaner, matinee Disney, paint project layout, hangs some icicle lights out front, and then RAVENS/STEELERS.
Thanks for the kudos. Guess I'm getting old.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold 26 degrees. No snow on the ground. It all went to NC. Going up to 36 today with a chance of snow.
Today is an easy day. I plan on relaxing and running trains , later.
Cannon has hit the mark. Lots of snow for Chief. He will have a white Christmas.
Dining car is here for the usual breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck
Good morning everyone. Has been a decent night and morning. Bride made pancakes for the family....YUM! Getting the gang ready to head north of here two hours. Pretty drive up to FIL's and plan on taking some photos along the way.
Jack, me culture...say it ain't so! Actually, I have had quite a life with many different experiences. I have been to some of the greatest classical music scenes as well as some of the classic rock scenes. Have been to Europe, Africa, and Asia. And enjoyed several career moves from automotive electric to construction, fire dept, and now CV Surgery. I say all this with the knowledge that I am most comfortable at home with my family and wouldn't trade it for anything this world has to offer. I suspect many folks here are the same way.
Chuck, glad your aim was a few states north of here. While our kids now have the hankering to see snow this year, I have had enough in my life time and would much rather take a trip to see it than have it land on our house!
Chief, Sorry for the white Ohio download! Hope it melts quickly and gets turned back north soon. But....better thee than meee!
Hope everyone has a great day,Dennis
Good Mornin Ya'll From Chilly, Breezy, and Overcast Taxachussetts,
There is nothing more traditional during the Christmas season than for folks to wait to put up their outdoor decorations until AFTER the temperatures fall to the high 20s. Add in some double digit wind, and after a couple of hours you find yourself unintentionally cryogenically frozen.
Daughter called....."TJ (son-in-law) needs help." "I already know that." "Would you mind helping him freeze to death put up the outdoor Christmas decorations and lights this morning?" "Sure, no problem. Should I bring my own casket, or will you be providing them?"
Don't our kids know that we older folks are not immune to pneumonia and frostbite, and we don't perform these types of insane activities like we used to, under anesthesia (the influence of several beers)? Time to layer up.
Wife left last night on a red eye for the UK (just North of London) and business, but she will be visiting her relatives today. She's ready to tease them to death about their total panic this past week over the recent snow/ice events that closed down roads and left motorists stranded. We'd call it a dusting. I thought they had tires on their cars like we do.
Let's see.....dirigibles dropping firebombs (WWI); the onslaught of bombers and rockets, sea blockades, shortages of everything, impending invasion (WWII); 6 inches of snow (12/10).
John Baker watch out, stay out of the public eye! Or my wife will hunt you down and make you take her to some malls.
Later, gang.
Jack.
Good morning
20s and overcast
No snow here but Canada to the east is suppose to get a good dumping. Brutus nothing to fix on the snow cannon, it's aimed just right. Guess i'll have a couple frozen waffles till the roast beef is warmed for dinner...S.J.
Morning all. REB army brought in its SUN cannon. Yank snow dying fast. Trees are back and ground coming insight. From what I hear, from the Great Lakes east, the snow cannon is backfiring.
Now to get ready to ride in the cold in the parade. Got to wave and say, "Merry Chirstmas" [and not happy holidays]. Went to elementary school to talk to kids about reading. Teachers had on Santa hats with Happy Holidays on them. Disgusting.
Have a great week.
Jim
Of all the accessories I think that was my favorite growing up. I didn't have a talking station then, just bought one, but the mail pick-up was the best.

Good morning gang,
Jack said it all so I'm just going to ditto his post:
Brutus' Char is home. Fife is a GrandFife. Santa and the Princess are coming to Rich's town. Dennis has become cultured. A direct hit was scored on Chief. DougM scores the first snowman of the season.
Fife, you know I was just funning with you on the hoppers. Didn't know Atlas labeled the hoppers wrong. Always depended on them doing it right.
A few snow flurries about 10:00 AM this morning, but nothing on the ground, hope it stays that way. It is real cold with high winds. Actual temp 34, but feels like 22 per the weather channel.
Nice to see Don B. is back!
Have a great Sunday and enjoy your week.
Fife congrats grandad
Well will try this again did it once then deleted it by mistake by going to another web page on wrong opened page. anyway not a lot going on today but looks like i need to replace my water heater its 10+ years old and have replaces the relief valve twice in the 2 1/2 years here. I was talking to Brutus last night and was thinking like him that it might be I have to high of pressure here but I don't it comes out at a steady rate but not forceful rate. Also want to hook up a timer to it as there is just me and wife and we really don't need the tank on from 9PM till about 11a - 12p so I can keep it off most of the time and it will still give us plenty of water unless she might want to do a few loads of wash then if needed I can turn it on manually. Looked at it good today its from 1999 and who ever hooked it up did it half *&^%@ as the wire was short and instead of mounting a box and adding a connection there they just added about 6" with no ground to make it fit so I need to correct that anyway also. So adding the timer will be a good place to to take the correct length of wire from to the new water heater. may even run conduit to it also to make it look right and good. not that hard to do. Then discovered a leak in the ceiling of the utility room is basically where the roof ended and the roof over utility room continued so think where the den that was built on connects to roof is where I'm seeing a problem think if i get up on roof and put some of that pitch in there it will seal it and it will be fine. At least I hope so can't afford to have a roofer come redo that are right now. If its not one thing its another.
Hi GUYZ,
BIG CONGAS to BRUTUS and FIFEDOG WAY TO GO GUYZ!!!!!!! BIG CONGAS!!!! Just like the OL MIL commercial says, "IT DON'T GET any BETTER then THIS!!!!
DOUGM, BEARS WIN!!!!
We just got back from MOMs from deer hunting on Saturday, saw my first deer of the year. A buck and a doe but were running full speed and couldn't tell if the buck was legal or not. We have antler restrictions here and got to have 3 points on one side. COLD and SNOWY just the way we like it here. SPEAKING of which,

Good afternoon all, just home from TTOS Southwestern Div. Christmas meet. Picked up an mth premeir line El Capitan tank car but that was all. Talked with friends and departed after three hours with no cake, ice cream, candy cane, cup cake, coffee or anything. Nada, zip, zero. However, there was a Santa Claus for the little ones thankfully and a few people got a bag of M&Ms. It was a good meet though considering the date. Next week we plan a dinner at the TCA Western Div. where club provides sandwiches and members bring salads and deserts. There is usually plenty of food.
Sorry about the snohio Chief. BTW, good for you if you say Merry Christmas instead of happy holidays at the parade. That's what it is after all.
Fife, congratulations on the new grandpup.
Best wishes to Char for continued improvement at home.
RT, hope everything turns out OK on the water tank and the leak.
SPMan
29 most of the day, no snow here.
Well thanks to the Lions, I enjoyed a nice nap this afternoon. However like the last Bears game it was decided by a questionable call. Banilla is waiting...S.J.
Good Evening!
Light rain here this evening, suppose to last through tomorrow.
Really great to hear that Char is home !!!! AND, Fife has a new addition to the family !!!! Tremendous !!! Congrats to ALL !!!
Got to share a comical tidbit......
My immediate next door neighbor, (not the dancer), is a USC alumni. So we always have the memorabilia all over the place during football season. And thats fine. As a matter of fact he is a retired Aerospace Engineer. So they have a USC flag flying from the house, the flag is mounted so that it the flag hangs vertically. (As a matter of fact it is so high he has to get an extension ladder to put the mast into the holder.) I have NO idea why he hung it so high, it is a single story house. (maybe he wanted it unfurled all the time, don't know). Anyway I was looking at it tonight and the flag is actually upside down. Meaning the bottom of the letters is closest to the house. (If the mast was vertical the flag would be upside down.)
So, he comes outside and I mention to him, I think the flag is upside down. He replied no its just which side you are standing on. So I explain my reasoning about the mast being vertical and then it would indeed be upside down. Or, was it that he was trying to express a "Distress" message for USC? About this time his wife stepped out of the house and said "No, if it was vertical the flag would be next to the pole, and you couldn't see the letters, and probably if the wind was blowing from the "other" direction then it would look right. About this time, I'm having a hard time to contain my laughter, I said "Oh I didn't think of that, I guess it makes sense then."
So anyway I just went in the house and the wife asked me what was going on, And I explained to her what was happening, that the USC grads have their own understanding of aerodynamics, physics, and gravity. Doesn't seem like a lot but it certainly was funny at the time.
Take care all,
Think I'm going to go check out about becoming a seller on E-Bay, have a bunch of office equipment want to see if I can get rid of.
Later
Don
Ray,
Which talking station did you get? I love those too. I've got the 718 mail car in green, and I'll post more videos asap.
Don,
Selling on ebay is quite easy. I've done it several times.
It was Snohiozoing in SE Indiana again today. This is going to get very old, very quick. Had a nice inexpensive lunch at McDonalds today thanks to some coupons. Took the Wabash Cannonball up to the museum today to put around the tree. Used the transformer with the Scout set and it runs it very well. Got some Christmas decorations up today. Wait on the tree for Lucas. I ham and biscuits on the dining car for breakfast. TBIL anytime. I hope everyone has a good day.
Good Sunday Evening...2nd Sunday in Advent
In the 20's this morning and back there now. No Snohizo...yet! Harley ran pretty good, I was dressed for the weather. Bike/Toy Run was great the free buffet was nice touch just $3 for a glass of Coke was a killer!!!
Had a fire call (missed the truck) and an over turned mini van (made that one) on the NJTP. No one hurt and no children involved, thank God.
I left the FD @ 430 it was getting dark and I'm on the Harley, sold 27 trees up to that point. Christmas train layout still going strong and looking good. I've just about got everything re-organized train wise and now the task of putting them away. Still have 2 layouts to make under trees.
Helped Mom a little tonight, tomorrow outside decoration begins in earnest. Should be fun...
Nice to see Don B back and AF53...More Jersey-ites the better!!
Giants WIN, Devils...well, hockey season is already a bummer....Jeter & Mariano resign to the Yankees
RT - Good idea on the timer...maybe you could look into one of those "on demand" water heaters.
Well, thats all from NJTP Exit 8....No calls tonight..I need my sleep!
Check ya later!
