Speaking of Laz (Ole Mils)....where is he?  Did the RR kidnap him?  Fife....do you have any jurisdiction on the open sea?  ----maybe you can make them walk the plank.

Two days of end of the Summer grilling and great food.  Burp and   Wife wants to take a drive up to Kittery ME today to shop at the outlet malls, and I hate going along........no train stores and one can only look and listen to the same audio/video toys at the Bose outlet so long.

Later gang.  Dog wants his chow.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 63 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Went sailing with wifey yesterday afternoon, and there were lots of sailboats out there. Yes Unfortunately, there were some "uncivilized" stinkboat captains out there as well. No  ON any given weekend or holiday, you simply have to assume that the next guy has at least 6 Beer in his belly, and make your moves in advance.  After we got back to dock, went to my favorite Pirate lair, which is right next to a CSX (B&O) swing bridge, and actually saw 2 Dash9's pulla string of W&LE hoppers across Bear Creek.  Rails & Sails. Dinner

Watched the 14 cover the field last night.

Chuck I think we all say that every time. It just taking getting use to as we were use to the old and we could do what we wanted as we knew how. In time this will work out I think with each other helping the rest I just started a post to try help everyone do photos and asking others to say how they are.

Now chuck if you going to be southern you need to buy some nascar trains to prove it and run them on your track Regularly in case chief or someone comes by Whistling

Morning all off today but couldn't sleep back up early. oh well time for the dinning car to come by need to go see what I'm going to go have.

Talk to you all later.

P.S.

If anybody figures out how to do that chat thing let me know I've tried it with brutus but we failed in doing so. ( click on a persons name and it shows a link to start a conversation  ) who knows maybe bob knows

So far the "new" software is not impressive. Maybe it's just teaching an old dog new tricks, woofwoof.  Dunce

RT,

I bring up the photo(s) in Shutterfly, select the photo, right click for a drop down menu, left click on properties, hi-lie & copy/

Paste into URL space but photo won't come up. Tried the old way of manually entering ['s and link info. That works but not using the icon. Grumpy

Happy Belated Birthday to FifePup!

Doug - that's great!  How cool that the kids got to run the trains and had a blast Smile

Today I got to visit with my Aunt, who is visiting from McClean IL.  Then my son and I picked up a new tv/monitor for the new x-box.  It is a Samsung and came with an HDMI cable in the box.  22 inch and seems to have a pretty good picture.  Then I grilled burgers and dogs on the bbq.  Feels like I did something, although mostly it was visiting and shopping, lol!  Some little jobs for tomorrow include moving the modem/router and cable, then need to put up those light fixtures in the kitchen. Maybe do some drywall too?  We'll see.  We then have a family cookout with my sister and brother and parents.

Tardis is about ready, just have to refill Jack's jug, get some Jack for Don, and some Old Mills, Yeungs, Sam Adams, and Barks Root Beer for the run tonight!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Doug,

If you figure it out, let me know.  I am also using Shutterfly, and I am clueless with this new software.

I got the 282 back together and smoking well last night.  I mentioned that it smoked great for a few seconds, then would thin to nothing.  Usually that is a sign of a hardened or burnt wick.  When I removed the bottom cover to inspect the wick, what I found left me scratching my head.  Instead of the wick being crispy or a hard yellow glob, it was white and soft as new.  I remembered that a few weeks ago that I had to break the remains of the old plastic stack tube out of the of the top plate so that I could install a new tube.  Since I did this without removing the top plate to avoid risking trashing the element in the proces, a small fragment of the tube fell inside and partially blocked the upper chamber which caused the poor output.

After I got that done last night, I watched Titanic on TBS from 8-12.  I enjoyed it, but waking up for work at 6AM wasn't fun.

Well, I've gotten the youngest visitors interested in the trains. . . of course, they love running them fast.  I'm glad to trust my youngest to run them (I trot down to handle any derailments). It's sure neat hearing the whistles and 'playing' wafting up from the basement. Yes

Nice cool day here in Northern Michigan.  I went out to the property this morning and sighted in my new crossbow.  Tenpoint Turbo XLT.

At first I was against the new crossbow law.. until I realized I could shoot 50 yards instead of 30.

No snags on the sight in.. got her dialed right in.

Afternoon All.

Oh the difference a day makes. It is 20* cooler today than it was yesterday at this time. Yeah Hopefully it will stay like this all day !

Started rummaging thru some of the halloween bits-n-pices formulating some ideas. Any of you ever used "ModgePodge"(sp) for making small ponds, etc. Was wondering what would happen if it were thinned out and tinted a bit or just rely on painting the pond bottom ?

Gotto go refill the mug !

Back later.

Good Morning From NJTP Exit 8....

A wee bit chilly, but I havent shut the windows from Saturday.  Earl was nothing but a little wind.  Fortunately we all escaped this storm.

Interview on Thursday was good, I was at the Raritan Center for ARAMARK.  They should let me know this week.  Have another interview Tuesday at 11 for a Chevy (ugh) dealer.  But, hey, it's a job.  Can't stand those Camaros thoughBang Head.

Happy Birthday to the Fifepup.Happy B-Day

Did a little B&E on a business yesterday morning for a strong odor of gasoline.  Grabbed my Halligan pryed up on the lock and a little K-Tool action later, lock was history.  Gotta love it, actually looked like I knew what I was doing....Smile, Wink & Grin

Watching the BIG GO in Indy (sorry Mike..) where the cars are 100+ MPH faster than those "Indy" cars Smile, Wink & Grin ...I prefer Pro Stock and Super Stock just to clarify that a bit.

Probe - I'll take mine with a  302, drop top & 5 speed in B L A C K, thanks, only since there are no Challenger converts....yet.

Mom & Dad have left for NC, so I'm alone for 10 days....WHOO HOO LET'S PARTY!!  --- Oh, sorry, I forgot, I'm not in college anymore...pass the GeritolLaugh.

Still sick on top of that.  More hot tea and honey....COFFEE FIRST!!!

OK have a good Sunday boys....I'll check back later

Morning all.  About to get ready for church.  Regular church this morning at the worship center, but tonight we will be at the sports park for an outdoor celebration.  The weather seems to be cooperating in that it has cooled off nicely.  Hope to get some more of that wall done that I have been working on for the layout.

Chief, it seems Chuck is either trying to become Southern, or he is working on his language to infiltrate with a raid of sorts....look out!

Doesn't everyone say "y'all"?

Great day for smoking (turkey that is). Put the turkey in Jon's brine last night, will smoke today.

Aloha all. Sunny but 48. Nice and brisk. Bride volunteered us to watch a host of kids today whose parents are going to a wedding. Maybe we'll organize football teams after church and get 'em nice and muddy. Big Smile Awesome gifts for the Fife pup would be awesome-r if you changed the team to the Bears.Wink I hear you about teen expectations. Fortunately, I continue to fulfill my fatherly obligation to disappoint them in some life things.

Sir James - Agreed. I actually suggested back when we started our family, that the birthday boy/girl buy presents for everyone else in the house; think of it - receiving a present 5 times a year.  It didn't fly.
