Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s. (Poor Chief, must have confused the weather report with the ages of the people I play in soccer). I mowed the yard with the Toro last night. Works pretty good. Have to get used to the self-propelling mechanism as it is a little different. Lucas got home ok. Starts work Monday.I had the regular fare on the dining before sending it to "Points East". TBIL anytime. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Gentlemen (and any ladies, if they are here), it is our hosts' policy that potentially volatile subjects are not discussed in the forum, even in a thread that is a catch-all as this one plainly is. Our hosts tolerate this type of non-topical material with good will, and rely on your good faith to keep it free of contentious subject matter. That includes immigration and nationalism, political subjects as they are.
Let us keep the discussion largely neutral and innocuous, please, rather than imposing on the rest of the thread users with political topics and possibly causing discord and unease.
Thanks for your co-operation.

St. Louis pizza had no outer crust edge. Topping ran right to the square edge. So thin you could NOT pick it up. It was SQUARE and not round.
Off to bed. Up tomorrow for Walk Club at elementary school. Can sleep until 7:30 if Lucy will allow. Line of big T'storms came thorugh. Thunder and lightning. We got a dampening. RAIN??????? Plant cumcumbers and cantalopes tomorrow. May be too big and damaged by hot sun while still in little "pots". Good night all.
Shake and Bake, can't comment. Would be banned!!!!! As they use to say in Miami, last American, please bring the flag.

Jack -
No mowing or trimming today, knee still hurt. I bought a super-cheap and small curved trimmer to use down in the trees when it's too wet for the mower. Only 65 at Walmart. Might let my son use it as it is pretty lightweight. I worry about him with a gas engine, but really he's old enough - at his age I did a lot of stuff with mowers and other little engines Don't know why we are so protective, I know we need to let kids grow up....
Char had bloodwork this morning and a pulmonary function test. Her hemoglobin was 12.2, so she is in the NORMAL range at last Thank God for answering prayers. PFT test was normal, so she's all good this week.
She came over to my workplace after her test and we went to lunch with some of my coworkers, including one of my sisters. Had some of that super thin "Saint Louis Style" pizza that Chief loved so much when he was here once
Yuengs sound great, all I have is Miller Lite! Banilla for desert? SJ - glad you got that dancing out of your system last night, but now you know since you were so tired all day today from being up so late!
Prayers for us all and for our loved ones and friends - for healing, health, and blessings from others. God bless us all.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Tomorrow I have a 7 am meeting to interview a person for possible employment.

Hoping that the boat lift is in the water this weekend.

Forgets to tell us he plays with seniors that are 70 and 80 years old.
Morning all. Was up EARLY as had first Mayor's Prayer Breakfast in Rolesville. Was a sucess for the first one ever to be held in the town. Even had pastors from out of the Rolesville Town and Community. All denominations and races. Next will be noon prayer at the Main Street Park across the street. One pastor told us he understoood that the Pres. had canceled all National Day of Prayer activities at the White House. Wonder if that is true.
Now to disk up the part of the garden that has not been planted and set out my cucumber plants and cantalope plants. Need rain.
Chat later.
Good Morning
Sunny but cooler, it will be a week before we see 70 again.
A good breakfast, corn beef hash, scrambled eggs w/green pepper and onion, toast.
Brutus if Dons neighbor brings her friends, I will just drink some Ole Tennis Shoe and dance anyway.....S.J.
Aloha all. A beauty day here, though a tad cool. Closing in on swapping carriers and phones on our family cell plan. They sure don't make it easy. Going to a 'planning' day at church to listen and help. We'll see how much of that I can fit into the day. Hmmm, still have a day to plan for Mom's day, right? No trains again. (I hear them calling). I got to go to the Indy 500 once - in 1990 I think. It was quite an experience. Blessings to you all. Prayers for Chief's mom, health for the rest of ya... How 'bout them Hawks - I'm on the bandwagon.... Save me a Yueng, Laz.

Today is a busy day. Lots of chores. Wife is grocery shopping. I will be busy most of the day. Legs ache a little from PT, yesterday.
Dining car has rolled in from "Points West". The usual Cheerios breakfast is the menu.
Y'all have a great Thursday.

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s after a night rain. I scrimmaged at soccer for about an hour. New cleats feel really good. Should be ready for the new season. Jack, did I ever go to the Indy 500? Does a bear ----- in the woods? Is the Pope Catholic? LOL! I have been going since 1962 (missed 1977, not my choice). Some day I would like to go Watkins Glen and Elkhart Lake, but not sure when. Work was very busy yesterday. I had the regular fare on the dining car before sending it to "Points East". TBIL after mowing. I hope everyone has a good day.
8NT - good deal on the cobalt, sounds like a nice car!
Jack - lots of weirdness in the world and seems like it's accelorating to me! You and Pat are too funny!
Lots of good stuff today guys.
RT - hope you get your feet fixed up! Just missed you tonight - mowed the lawn and talked with neigbor for a while.
No trains today, but some banilla sounds great. My bad knee is pretty sore, so let's just skip the line dancing tonight, even if Don's neighbor brings her coworkers again
8N, I haven't been over in the Bowling Green area in a very long time. Everbeen over around the Natural Bridge or Cumberland Falls areas, still have some distant relatives down in those areas. Really pretty down there but I think the summer heat & humidity would probably croak me now.
Hope the standing water didn't do any serious damage to the strip.

8n,
In a way, I was glad someone outbid me on that one. What color is the Cobalt?
Never did get around to working on the layout today. Took the PGT out this morning and put 12 miles on it just driving around, so it is up to 189,747 now. I washed, clayed, and waxed it tonight, and that was the first time that it has been clayed in its 13 years and four months. Looks better now though.
About 80 and sunny today.
Car stuff - Cobalt SS checked out with mechanic today. Turning the paperwork crank now. Hopefully will be in my driveway by the weekend. Dropped the wife's minivan off at the dealer tonight - vibration that starts just above 65mph - hopefully just a tire, but might be a CV joint or something else expensive.
DDG - the Corvette Mueseum is the other side of Bowling Green from Beechbend Raceway Park. A good bit higher in elevation too. Probably OK. The Corvette plant itself sits on top of a hill, so it should also be OK.
Bowling Green is on karsk topology. Basically, the ground is porus and the drainage is through sink holes and caves. 13" of rain in a short time would tend to fill the sink holes faster than they can empty, making temporary ponds where there is usually dry land. Lots of buildings are built not too far away from sink holes. If they overflow, those buildings will get wet.
97 Probe - I don't think the guy who won the auction was upset - he just wanted the item worse than you did. I lost out on a 'junker' 200 series Lionel Alco recently - same situation, somebody else wanted it more than I did.
All for now.
Evening all
Just checking in. A quiet night. May God bless you all
Jim
Quick stop over to say Hello. Been extremely busy. Took the day off of work to work on the movie. Then, had to come home as we were waiting for a shipment from UPS. Hot water heaters had stopped working, fixed that, tractor had some belt issues and I think also a pulley needs repair and one of the ACs for the downstairs zone is out. Just a lot to do on my "day off". Taking tomorrow off, but we have a program for son's school to attend early in am, following that it is back to the movie set. No time for trains lately. Hope everyone is doing well.
God Bless,Dennis

hello guys, pat you got to help me....told wife that you told me she should taste grits, and she would like them and make them more often. she told me i should tell you that she likes grits, but does not make them too often cause they are fattening. what should i do now? i been married 40 years and don't want to trade her. chief, wind has been blowing here like mad. rumor is gov of state of illinois has a new wind machine. rt, i told daughter in law to feed grandson grits, she just looked at me weird. would like a gt 500,but who would'nt. more up son and daughter in laws alley. i think you guys are cool. would not trade you for all the money in the world. middle son is going to get job as pt tech. he was certified to do this by the state eight years ago, and now that he has wasted eight years in concrete finishing, will go back to it as daughter in law needs a paycheck every week and the building trades here are now dead. won two 1/50 corgi vehicles on the bay. must now send money. mothers day and several birthdays this month make me broke. navyjack
p.s. bought seedless tomatoe plants to put in our garden. some are the italian variety. chief burpee was all out of seeds.....
Well didn't goto work today as legs were killing me from the new inserts given to me. Did go in and got that adjusted so time will tell.
Did get the new Shell from Jeff Kane for the 8617 4-4-2 with a busted cow catcher now its a 8633 still with a yellow stripe just no NKP on the front sides.
Also got some other parts I wanted.
Also got an ebay win of a set of coil couplers with board to use in a dummy unit it even can do directional lighting. May put it in a conventional power unit so when I run it with the TPC I will be able to have coil couplers and directional lighting

Good Evening
Reached 79 today for a very short time, then storm came and temp went down fast.
My money survived the train store got home without buying anything. Banilla is ready for the thingy so fire it up and lets go..S.J.
Jack - Sure, sell the tomato and give me 20%. We both will be rich. I here a tomato collector just over the state line from VA into NC will pay a seven figure amount for the Box (might be confederate money)!
DugDG - Not to worry. We installed a liberalism filter as well as an anti political double talk filter on the manure tank.
dougdagrump LawsonFarmsRR Jack - I have put your name down for a "Free" tomato from beef manure fertilized plants. No charge for the tomato, but with a tomato this size, the shipping will run you about as much as the Shelby Mustang GT500! Pat Jack, Just require a "Certification of Fertilzer Source", cow manure good but remember his location is kinda close to D.C. and exposure to the manure coming from there could cause mental disorders, a.k.a. liberalism.

DougDG.....fear not......I have a natural immunity to that mental disorder. As well as Southernitis. I just hope Pat doesn't pack the tomato in grits. Then it would be totally contaminated, unfit for human consumption, and a sinful waste of a perfectly good tomato.
Jack.
