Afternoon All !

Jon, Thumbs UpThumbs Up for what you and the other riders do in support of the famalies of the fallen. If I were to be confronted by those people it would be extremely dificult to treat them in a legal manner. Still think the best idea would be a glow plug in the exhaust pipe tip and run a rich fuel mixture, of course it would have to have a handlebar mounted on/off switch for activation at the most appropriate time.

Got the "Maple Wings going, another 45 minutes or so and they be good-to-go. Hoping to be able to go in a bit earlier, put together a train for the munchkin to run on the layout. Offered to pack up the Thomas stuff but he wanted the C&O  Mikado, so he'll have that and some woodside reefers.

DJ, Don't be to quick to throw away those crutches, never know when they could be used for a special cause: gee dear I would love to go there/do that/visit so & so but my "injury is so sore". Blush Big Smile

Oops, time to toss the chicken around then back in the oven.

Later

Good morning all,

Pat, et al, Although I'm not a dyed in the wool race car fan, I do remember Richard Petty and got to see him once at a track out here in Riverside, California.  I think Bobby Allison was in the same race.  Those were exciting times.

Went to music concert last night to hear my grandson play in the middle school ochestra.  Program featured kids from grammer school all the way through High School.  Enjoyable evening for us.

Chief, glad you got that screened porch done before the skeeters get you.  I'll bet they have some industrial strength ones near that lake.

Ran some trains yesterday.  My MTH GP20 still acts up when it gets warm and gives off some kind of squealing noise through the sound system.  Ruled out smoke unit making noise and noise occurs even when train is stopped so that rules out axle squeek.  I hope it's not a board problem.  The engine is not worth the price of a new board.  The only way I can make the noise go away is shut down the engine with the DCS handheld controller and then run it in stealth mode without pushing the start button.  That kills all the sounds as well as the lights too infortunately.  Anyone else ever had this kind of problem.?

Festival going on at church this week end.  Bought about $30 worth of ride tickets for my grandson and then found out he can't go today.  Maybe we can go on Sunday after church.  I was hoping to go on Saturday night though because it's cooler then and the lights on all the rides look better at night.

Need to visit a housebound friend today if I can make connections.

Beacon lit for Tardis.  Have a good day all,

Ray

Chief, I am thinking of either screening in the back porch, or perhaps making it a Florida Room.  I am more along the lines of the later as some nice cool tile floor would be well used when the temps get so hot down here.

God Bless,

Morning everyone.  Doug M., belated Happy Birthday!  I checked in briefly yesterday, but was quickly detained from my posting for the rest of life's issues.

Jon, I commend you and your fellow riders.  Shame is that that Marine and so many others have died that those fools can do such protests.  Perhaps their presence makes yours and the Patriot Guard's that much more poignant.

Today is daughter's actual recital.  FIL and his bride are coming down.  I am still on call, so I will be in a separate car and have been given the mission of picking up a bouquet of flowers for the little princess.

God Bless,
Dennis

Good Morning

Sun,50,going to 70.

Still early, grass needs cutting but the ground in the back yard is soaked with water. Way to wet I don't want a yard full of tire ruts. The kids are coming over today to relandscape in front of the porch, they decided it was to blah. I said help yourself as they do very little for us old folks.lol Of course granny will feed them a huge dinner as always. Have a great weekend.

Aloha all. Off to soccer at 0-dark-thirty. I had a nice birthday and really appreciated all your good wishes Mucho mahalo!  Jon, you're busier now than when you were working. It just doesn't seem right without a monthly package from Iowa that then goes off to Michigan. Thanks for your work as escorts. Can't believe Pat was in Illinois and didn't stop by, NavyJackWink  Great news about Spanky! And I love your cruisin', Doug - a big thing here during the nice months.

Morning all.  Back from lake house.  Got screened in porch framed, footing done and electrical done.  Roof is an "A" dormer off of main roof.  Inspector came yesterday and was the nicest man.  Signed off on all.  [actually this is a cover for a secret mission that Pat and I were behind Yankee lines spreading GRITS]

Happy Birthday Doug M.  Spanky, throw those crutches in the river.

Garden has really grown since I left.  Soaker hoses for a couple of days before I left did the trick.  Still NO rain.  Had T'storm warnings up at the lake house.  Clouds rolled in , some lightning in the distance and wind.  500 drops fell.  Got tons of ticks off of me while I was there.  UGH

Now to get some things done here.  Chat later.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 69 already in the Mid-Atlantic region.  S'posed to be breezy (20-25 gusts), so no sailing today.  Will try tomorrow.  Need to register at our swim club later on.

jonadel - Keep fightin' the good fight.  Thank you for your efforts.  MD blew it against those Westboro folks. Disapprove     Angel for the parents.

Up early to get on the bike and say good bye to a 19 year old Marine today, he was killed in Afghanistan one week ago in a gun battle with the bad guys.  We've had a great turn out of support and with today's weather I'm sure the funeral and procession to the Veterans cemetery there will a great out pouring of support going through a few towns.  If that doesn't put a lump in your throat nothing will.  He just graduated from high school one year ago .........

Sadly, the whackos from Westboro Baptist Church from Kansas will be there protesting at the funeral, we will make sure the family neither sees them or hears them.

Belated Birthday greetings to Doug M., seems like I should be sending you something since I have your address!  Sending you one of the traveling cars last year every month was fun, hope we can do it again.  It's been quite a spring for me, I've never been this busy and I'm very happy to see the school year coming to a close.  I do hope to get lots of traveling in this summer, two very nice trips planned out with the big one in August as I head to Glacier National Park with stops at Yellowstone and the Tetons.  That will be a solo trip and I'm planning on two weeks, I'd like to get to into north west Washington before turning around, that would be perfect.

Time to get going!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a beautiful sunny 64 degrees. Going up to 78 today with sunshine.

Today is a busy day. I have a project to work on and a few chores to do. I want to spend some time outside, to enjoy the nice weather.

PT went well, yesterday. I can feel it today. I need that extra day, each week, or I get lazy. Have to keep up. I need to do more walking. Maybe I'll try a walk out to the mail box. ( 340 feet one way ).

Dining car is here for the usual Cheerios breakfast.

Y'all have a great Saturday.

Evenin' All !

Great day at the museum, everything ran purrrfect, smoooth and no pileups. Approve

The munckin is spending the nite with grampa & grandma, so grampa felt compelled to introduce him to the joys of "Cruisin' Grand" on friday nite. Put his booster seat in the backseat of the p/u and we had a ball, he loved it. Especially liked the T'Buckets with all the chrome and flames, but kinda chuckled when he saw the "grandma hotrods", tricked out PT Cruisers. Then it was on to Rubio's for some good Mexican food.

Time to call it a nite, don't know which is more tired the mind, what little there is, or the eyes.

Mostly cloudy and about 70 taday.  It did clear off about quitting time and has turned into a pleasant evening.

It has rained enough that the races are cnaceled tonight, and probably tomorrow night too.

Stopped by the LHS tonight.  Picked up the interesting tidbit that Charles Ro Supply is one of a very few Lionel dealers that gets a special discount.  Most 'normal' Lionel dealers won't be able to match their prices.  Yup, it will cost a few bucks, but I prefer to work with my local dealer.

All for now.

69 degrees and sun

First nice day this week. The grass is high from all the rain but the ground is too wet for the mower. Went to Kroger this AM and finally got back outside this afternoon. Banilla will be waiting for the thingy. Doug I hope you had a great birthday...S.J.
